hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
simpson · 16/11/2008 22:04

She ADORES DS he is her favourite person ever She really belly chuckles for him only. Gives little giggles for me or DH but not proper laughs.

DS is very protective of her.Plays with her all the time.

Today I said "Oh Molly another poo"

DS said "Mummy thats what Molly does"

simpson · 16/11/2008 22:07

Lilyloo - what are you going to do about highchair situation?

Need to think of a new thread title soon

We are a chatty bunch

Lilyloo · 16/11/2008 22:13

Don't know hope she doesn't do it tom as your suggestion
Or hope Harry catches her before she falls!
Martha like that with ds and have to try and involve her with dd1 too as she can be quite mean but she loves Harry!
It's so cute to watch them build that bond with their siblings!

simpson · 16/11/2008 22:32

Tis very sweet to see them together.

What is the age gap between your 3 can't remember sorry

Lilyloo · 16/11/2008 22:36

There's just less than 3 {DS April DD1 Jan) and exactly 3 between dd1 Jan 13th and dd2 Jan 18th !

LuckySalem · 16/11/2008 22:43

WELL DONE NATHAN!!

Really ill today so i'm gonna end up behind everyone again. Got S&D its no fun.

simpson · 16/11/2008 22:44

Awwww I'd love to have another Lo but don't think its going to happen after DH being ill etc

Our house is perfect for 2 DCs I worry I might be being selfish by having another

Am 36 and giving myself till I am 38 then we will make a final decision then.

JustKeepSwimming · 17/11/2008 07:20

morning all

i wasn't asleep by 9.15 but was in bed at 9.30
ds2 up at 10 for a feed & teetha.
up not long after screaming, so calpol.
then ds1 up at 4.30 crying, having a nightmare i think (he said this morning it was about his comfort blankies/muslins...)
up and down with him until ds2 woke at 5ish, fed him again, he wasn't going back to sleep so dh brought him down, by this time ds1 was fast asleep again so him and i slept until 6.30.
all over the shop in other words, though there was a solid block from 10.30ish-4.30, so that's good.

Lily - you are right, i worry about him waking ds1 so i did leave him for a bit this morning until he stared actually crying when dh took him downstairs. will try and leave him more i think. esp as ds1 didn't wake up because of him today. good advice, thanks!

love the name Molly we have Mary as a girl if we have one and i want everyone to have different initials so can't have it ourselves. (no comments required on Mary btw, i'm not up for a name-criticising thread!!).
what is ds? don't say if you don't want to. i like to think that a family's names have to 'go' together. so we have tom and henry and (possibly one day) mary, oh and george if we have another boy
(although i would like a girl one day i feel like the next one will be a boy which is fine except for all the comments i know i'll get - gingeme you must have had a few?).

i came to a BIG decision yesterday.........i'm going to sell my Svan highchair!
i hate it, it's impossible to keep clean and ds2 is happy in the booster thing i have been using for ds1. (ds1 now wants to be a big boy and sit in a normal chair).
Will have to find all the bits and give it a serious clean - it has so many nooks and crannies it's ridiculous

Lucky - hope you are feeling better this morning?

right, breakfast time, then hopefully a quick nap for ds2, while we rush around like nutters to get us all ready to leave - i'm a working woman dontcha know!

simpson · 17/11/2008 09:39

Lucky - hope you feel better today

JKS - Ds is called Joshua which I think goes well with Molly. Like the name mary BTW

Right must dash....DD got docs at 10.30

Lilyloo · 17/11/2008 09:57

wow JKS supermum who posts and get's everyone ready and goes to work as well

Lucky hope you better soon!

Simpson hope docs goes ok!

DD's swimming lesson just cancelled so she sat here crying If only that was your only worry

Lilyloo · 17/11/2008 10:05

Also on cerazette and had no probs up to now but have been bleeding on and off for 3 weks now anyone else had this ?

And we saw the delivery of the xmas tress to our local garden centre whilst dropping ds at school. DC'S very excited but am now unsure with our resident 'little devil' whether a real tree is a good idea ? What's everyone else doing ? We always have a real one love the smell !

Gingeme · 17/11/2008 10:25

You put me ot shame jks. I wish my brain would work like yours!
Had a rough weekend re sleeping. George seems to be waking earlier for his night time bottle. Last night was 12.30 then he slept till 6am had anothe bottle and slept till 7.08 so I feel shattered for all the broken sleep.
His new trick is ptting his mouth while making a noise. You know like a red indian
Popped to Ikea yesterday and made some notes what we would like to get. My Grandads will money has been finaly sorted as to whos getting what so we should have a nice bit of money soon. Want to get some new storage bits for the boys room and a new dining table and chairs which we desperately need.
ds4 had ups and downs Sat night too. I think his molars are coming through so we used a lot of Medised between the two of them
Not alot dong here today. Got a horible headache.
Ah wel sorry for no personals but ater my read through seem your all doing pretty good

simpson · 17/11/2008 13:13

Lilyloo - was on cerazette but had bleeding too. Only happened in the first 2 months of taking it then seemed to settle down but turned me into woman from hell so came off it.

Having fake Xmas tree here, is the 3rd yr we have used it.

After docs went into a new shop which just sells Xmas things (mainly tat!!) and bought DD's stocking and a material advert calender with little pockets in for each day in December. Thought it would be more fun for DS and something that can be used each yr.

Doc says DD has sore throat and weight lose not too worrying as she has been ill. If her sitting is no better in 4 wks he will refer us. Also her pincer grip is not great but apparently they get the hang of that anytime between 9-11mths....

Lilyloo - Just had a thought on your highchair situation...If Martha climbs out it might be worth buying a booster seat thingie instead of another highchair as they are useful to have anyway for holidays etc. They come with trays and have a harness

OK nicked the idea from JKS

Lilyloo · 17/11/2008 13:18

thanks Simpson she got on the table even before she had finished her dinner today so needs addressing pronto! (obv not a one off!)

yeah dp has just rung me and said i can collect a cheque tom from someone who ows him some money and can keep it to get some ugg boots for my birthday

Glad it's nothing too serious with dd she will get there in her own time i am sure. Have you tried giving her raisins they good for developing pincer grip as they have a reward at the end!

LuckySalem · 17/11/2008 13:38

Feeling better today - Still not upto the energy that DD wants though

Lilly - I'm having the bleeding myself now (6 months on it) and getting really grouchy over NOTHING.

As for trees - I have no idea what to do as we had enough trouble last year with the cats, this year we're gonna have kittens and DD... I dunno if I can be bothered resetting the tree every 10 mins.

Midge25 · 17/11/2008 13:42

Hi all...have finally got around to finding a post-natal thread for my dd, born Jan 29th

Lilyloo · 17/11/2008 13:46

Hey Midge welcome tell us all about her !!

Lucky i have been on it since 6 week cheque but this is really6 wearing me down!
I have been putting my grumpiness down to tiredness but could be this too. My packet is nearly at an end so think may ask about something different but still bf not sure what ?

LuckySalem · 17/11/2008 13:48

Hey Midge - Welcome

Lilly - My docs told me cerazette was all I cold have while BFing. I don't know if its changed now?

JustKeepSwimming · 17/11/2008 14:10

Re Cerazette - i was on it and have given up, turned me into b*tch from hell.

There is a thread about it somewhere, will try and link to it in a mo.

The booster seats are fab, we were given the Handysitt and when i went to look at buying another one recently didn't realise how expensive they are! don't think we were appreciative enough to the friends who gave it to us

at work so should be working, but colleague has popped out so on my own...finding it hard to concentrate. so of course i turn to MN

off to find the thread...

JustKeepSwimming · 17/11/2008 14:13

here

hello Midge & welcome

we have only had a real tree once in the last i don't know how long, loved it, hated the mess.
Have a fake one but DH has said we could look at getting a new one this year as ours is so battered from travelling/cats/ds1.
Though he would rather wait till the sale! not sure he realises that means going shopping in the sales, lol

right, work....

Lilyloo · 17/11/2008 14:44

jks i cannot beleiev that i have even had the tingling in my face!
Well that is that i am off that as of now!
But not sure what else i can use but sick of feeling so rubbish!
Might explain the almighty bust up me and dp had this weekend too over the 'cleaning'.

simpson · 17/11/2008 14:49

Lilyloo - cerazette definately made me very moody Feel SOOO much better now not on it!!

Midge - Welcome My DD was born on 29th Jan too!!

Can't remember who suggested raisins - good idea might try that We give her blueberries ATM which she likes and tries to eat herself!!

LaTrucha · 17/11/2008 14:59

Ok. I haven't caught up yet but I want to write this for Lilyloo before i forget.

The lady in my baby shop says, if it's a Mamas and Papas any baby of any age can get out of it. Obviously she's not a fan. But anyway, she said that if you get some walking reins you can use them as an extra harness because they're snugger than a highchair's straps. They should have d rings that you can clip onto your highchair.

Right,. Off to make a cup of tea and back to read up on how everyone is.

LaTrucha · 17/11/2008 15:18

Caught up!

MM - yay for waving! ay-o Nathan!

Simpson and Lilyloo -very cute about your older DCs with younger.

Simpson - Im sure she'll get ther with sitting. She hasn't read the book, you see?

Lilyloo - haven't had any bleeding while on Cerazette. Second the booster seat idea. They are fab.

Lucky - felling better today love?

Gingeme - stay on that sofa woman, you deserve it. Sorry sleep is so crap.

JKS - LOL at nightmare about blankies. My first nightmare that I remember was abot Mickey Mouse!

Hi Midge!

Today we have tooth number three. And as we are discussing names, what do you think we should do? Obviously Sabela has an unusual name. Do you think we are duty bound to give another little girl a similarly unusual name, in case she's jealous or do you think we will sound like pretentious parents who give their children 'peculiar' names just to be different.

And Ok ladies, this is confidential but can you tell me HOW unlikely I am to be pregnant in this situation. I'm still bf, haven't had a period, came of cerazette about 2-3 weeks ago. We did something we probably shouldn't have about a 10 days ago. It's TOTALLY unlikely isn't it? Except I have a funny feeling. Well. Not so funny actually. I feel sick, on and off every day.

Gingeme · 17/11/2008 16:03

Latrucha I rememeber that funny feeling
I would say get a booster seat too. We only ever had one highchair for David and as our kitchen isn't that big I got so annoyed trying to go round it and stubbing my toe we got a booster seat and have never looked back
Welcome Midge. We are all pretty friendly here. Stick around for open and frank discussions or just a quick moan. Whatever takes your fancy realy
Fake tree here too. We had an optic fibre one but it kept falling over so we bought a bog standard green one last year. Saying that I popped up to my neighbours yesterday who already has her tree up and George had a few touches but more or less left it alone . Wonder if we'll be that lucky.....
