LAL - Rita (queen of speed) was excellent! 0-100 mph in 2 seconds or something mental like that! I swear my eyeballs popped out! We went on it twice. There were hardly any queues for anything. In fact I think we queued the longest for Rita. (approx 20 mins!)

eandh · 07/10/2008 14:14

Girls are behaving at the mo (although dh put a dvd on and all 3 of them (hattie has to be involved) are snuggled up on sofa together)

They have emptied the entire dressing up box out and had 95% of the outfits on and had a domestic over a necklace but all friends at the mo

LAL - eddas has ds at home but she is working from home but can get on with alot more minus dd!

The roast dinner smells lovely and am tempted to join them (was having salad)

Can't make a decision about holiday next year we said we werent going to have one and use the money we normally save for holiday to pay some things off early but found a fantastic deal at Haven at Rockley Park (Dorset) we went when ELlie was almost 1 and had a fantastic time and currently the really posh mobile homes are half price so can go for 5 days for just over £200 (and tahts 3 bedrooms so girls have a room each or my Mum and Dad or friends could join us as caravan sleeps 8) Theres so much to do and last time we had glorious weather so spent most of the week at Sandbanks beach (and eyeing up the lovely houses) Its self catering so I could take food for breakfast/lunch and even take a BBQ for the evenings but cannot decide if to go for it

Lizzzombie · 07/10/2008 14:22

eah - that sounds a fabulous bargain.
Is it online? Have you got a link for it?
Thats fairly near my parents house, so would be a good alternative to spending a week in the middle of nowhere with them!

Ok, can I just ask, does anyone just bite their lips and shout at the computer when some people post rude/stupid things about what you posted? I am really tempted to be rude back to someone on here, but instead am ignoring it.

Lizzzombie · 07/10/2008 14:23

ps - am looking after a mates 3 year old this evening, we are going to watch High School Musical, and I am really looking forward to it as i've not seen it yet! Dj better had enjoy it too!

eandh · 07/10/2008 14:37

Lizz will go and find the link

I love HSM & HSM2, Eddas & I are taking Ellie and her dd to the cinema to see HSM 3!!

eandh · 07/10/2008 14:40

superior plus £215!

Lizzzombie · 07/10/2008 14:51

What time of year have you booked? Early July is over £400 still.
Looks good though...

eandh · 07/10/2008 14:58

Booked 22nd June for Monday to Friday and came to £224 !

Lizzzombie · 07/10/2008 15:02

I've just put that date in and had the same cost - cool!
Have forwarded it to my sister, think it could be fun her and her DS twins - 3years and me and DJ.

This is a big bargain. I am very impressed with your thriftyholidayfindingskills!

also - there is a spa there!

eandh · 07/10/2008 15:05

Its a lovely site as well (especially comapred to some Havens I have seen) the last caravan we had there we were the 2nd people to have stayed in it and it was all lovely and new. We went with 2 sets of friends last time and had 3 caravans in a row and used to get the kids to bed (we could see all the caravan doors) and sit outside bbq'ing in the evening, DH just said be nice to go with friends again but everyone has at least one child at school from January.

We visited monkey world, falmer palmers and aquarium and spent rest of time on beach (we did go for a week last time!)

2Happy · 07/10/2008 15:09

Afternoon all.

eandh - don't envy you with 3 kids in this weather!! Barely stopped raining all day here, but at least it's not as cold as yesterday. Hope eddas gets a good afternoon's work!
Lizz - sounds like you had a great time. Glad DJ was ok, kissing the phone, cute! Hope work not too busy today.
Reg - send 'em over. Seriously. I run through pens really fast, and I lose them all the time, and, er, well I really like stationary !! What are you doing with 20,000 pens??
lal - glad the wedding went well
LTH - is the sinusitis any better? Did you manage any sleep?
vino - what's the other job you've applied for [nosey]

The remote randomly turned up on the bedside table, so must have been dh who left it there, heaven knows why! So managed to finish watching Tess last night, but ended up crying at the end, what a wuss. I am not pregnant, but along with my brain function never having come back to normal after kids, I still seem to cry at stupid stuff. I never did that pre-kids. Right, best get going - cooking roast chicken for supper!

PCF - I bled on and off with Hattie from 7 weeks to the end, had an early scan but and obviously everything was ok, they said small amounts (and if browny red) is normally just old lining shredding and if no pain/cramps then unlikely to be anything sinister

ladytophamhatt · 07/10/2008 17:27

Just a quick message for the jan07 breeders who have had new babies or are PG.

I have an annabel karmel book that is obviously gathering dust whould any of you like it?

its called Top 100 baby purees but has recipes in it going up to toddlers.

Its yours whoever asks first....

I'll offer it to teh wider MN audience if no-one does but I had to give you all first dibs...

eandh · 07/10/2008 17:58

Well that def counts me out as no need for any form of pureeing in this house ever again

UD - am so sorry still ahvent posted that book I will do it this week - promise

theSuburbanDryad · 07/10/2008 18:08

I'm never pureeing anything ever again. BLW all the way with dc2.

Completion on the house is in 6-8 weeks!

vinorouge · 08/10/2008 08:51

Thanks for the offer of the book LTH but I have it already.

Just ringing round changing the DD details for all our household bills. Yawn.

eandh · 08/10/2008 16:20

Afternoon -

Vino - sounds fun any news on job application yet?

I am bored, am fed up of dh being home (except it means I can do the preschool run minus Hattie!) as trying to find things to do, so far today he has painted the decking, washed the car, sorted the shed and we all visited his Nan (she's the 95 year old who lives with il's was admitted to hospital 10 days ago with pneoumonia and chest problems and we were told she probably wouldnt make it through the night and she wouldnt come out of hospital and bless her somehow shes managed to fight it and she came home yesterday )

Hattie and Ellie have broken Hatties cot bed by jumping on it sort of fixed it so Hattie can sleep but in a dilema whether to buy Ellie a mid sleeper and give Hattie Ellie's bed or try and hang out till nearer Christmas when SIL has said we can have neice's midsleeper. If we buy one for Ellie, we'll still have sil one and put it in the loft ready for when Hattie can have it as her room tiny, we'll just have to get her a new mattress

eandh · 08/10/2008 16:27

My mum and Dad were out at weekend and got the girls their Christmas presents

this for Ellie

thids for Hattie but Mum swapping it for a dark purple coat with ceris pink butterflies on bottom but not on website Sad

Lizzzombie · 08/10/2008 18:19

Gorgeous coats eah!
Go 95 year old nanna too. Fab that shes on her way home!

Well, we went to asda this morning (fun) then popped home did laundry (double fun) and grabbed a sandwich before heading to swimming.
All this meant no nap for DJ.
Cue 5pm tea time screaming fit after 10 pieces of pasta. I dumped him in the bath still screaming for about 2 minutes, then he dozed off whilst I was drying him. He was asleep at 5.45pm. No milk.

Now...DP has just called, his train was cancelled. His next train gets in at 8.13pm and we live 10 mins away from station. I have two hours to myself!!!!! Hmmmmm.....[hmm}
Have to make tea, iron, tidy up...
The absolute pain in the arse of it is that we have NO WINE in the house. I could murder a glass too. Pants!

Vino - hope your bills are all sorted now. We've not had a gas bill since July. am a bit concerned! Really should sort that out!

Reggiee · 08/10/2008 19:13

....4211, 4212, 4213...

Am tired. Had a 15 hour day at work yesterday (looong meetings in London), then got back at 11pm, to be greeted by a very unsettled lo. She screamed at 12.15am so I had to get up and read the Gruffalo for half an hour before she resettled, then she woke up at 2am. I slept through that one though so dh had to deal with it. Don't know what's happened to our good little sleeper - she's been quite unsettled this last fortnight. Wondered if it might be her very back molars coming through, but she's not yet had any bother with her teeth. Other thoughts were nightmares (when do they start) or if she's frightened of the dark (clutching at straws). Any ideas?

...8658, 8659, 8670....

Lovely coats Eah. Look properly warm. Nice to see your parents are organised too and have your Xmas pressies sorted in October

...14982, 14983, 14984...

PCF try not to worry about the bleeding (easier said than done I know). I too had quite a bit of bleeding and absolutely shat myself over it. It's really common. How's your sickness btw?

...19998, 19999, 20000....Hurrah!!
2H all the pens have arrived and are counted (yeah right!). We give the pens out to school kids, with slightly posher papermate pens for teachers. Email me your address and I'll send you some. Probably not 20,000 though.

Phone ringing. Can't be bothered to answer it....

Reggiee · 08/10/2008 19:28

Let answerphone pick up a message

LTH have you managed to see your friend yet? How's she coping?

Lal your dress at the wedding is lovely. Glad you had a fab time. How was your head on Sunday?

Vino good news about your hours but I still can't believe they haven't told you anything about the other job. Mmmm trifle. I haven't had trifle for ages - I love it but only seem to remember it at Xmas.

UD you started packing yet? V exciting. How's the bump?

Wilkie where have you gone?

Lizzzombie · 08/10/2008 19:39

trifle?
whats this about trifle??? I missed that!
We are having angel delight for pudding - chav treat!

cheers for the wine rgee. I am gagging for a glass!

We are having problems with night terrors here. I think that they can start from 18 months +
He screams like a banshee but is totally asleep. Really freaky. Hope your LO is ok soon.

I have memorised the Gruffalo and also Gruffalos child and each peach pear plum, so can now recite as an when necessary during broken nights sleep. Normally I fall asleep during it and get woken up by DJ shouting "more, more"!

eandh · 08/10/2008 19:43

Bad mother here that just lets Hattie cry or more oftn than not she gets up and comes in our room and bashes me on head with her beaker or book and I bung her in our bed till she goes back to sleep then dh moves her back into her bed

Rgee - pmsl at visions of you counting 20000 oens

Lizz- Hattie only sleeps 3 or 4 days a week, I then hate from 4.30pm those non nap days as everything leads to a meltdown!

ladytophamhatt · 08/10/2008 20:44

I'm hoping to go and see her this weekend.
The poor girl has also had a MC in the last few days. Shes going in on friday to have and D&C.

It doesn't seem possiblle that so much crap can happen to one person.

She's coping remarkably well. Shes a no nonense/matter-of-fact/what will be will be type so doing ok.

I'm sure we'll both fall to bits when we see each other though

The funeral is on Thursday.
