Did you sputnik? What did you have done? I have been told by the hospital that they won't do anything involving anesthetic, that isn't urgent, if you are bfing. I might go back to the gp and have a chat and see what she says. I don't think I could really have anything done for a while as ds is still very dependent on my milk and I would have to stay in hospital for at least 2 nights.

I think I'd rather pee when I run than have someone poking around down there!!

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 22:06

holly, my friend had an op for the same reason. It was pretty straightforward (involving some sort of drawcord to tighten things up) and she was up and about very quickly. Definately worth having it done imo, and sooner rather than later.

Speak to them again about it, and in the meantime....stop running

evening

have a great holidy norty - sorry I missed you.

Maybe I should have had the coil instead of the fecking implant. Does it stay in forever unless you want it out?

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 22:12

I had to have a bit of left-behind placenta scraped out, 3 months after DD was born. I suppose it was considered urgent, as it could have become infected.

Do you think you have prolapse or something? Take a deep breath and ask for a gynae referral, they poke around a people's bits every day you know.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:20

Yep, I think I have a prolapse. In fact I am quite positive I do. I can't even talk to dp about it, though I am sure he must have noticed. It is all a bit depressing and embarrassing really. Do you think they could whip my tonsils out and give me a designer vagina in one go? That would be good!

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:27

I don't think medical types think twice about "bits" holly (though I am like you in thinking etc, and "of course Idon't want to chat while you do my smear thanks!")

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 22:28

Holly, get it seen to ffs.
It's not going to fix itself is it? So, sooner rather than later [looks stern]. Please please please get it looked at.

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:29

I think my dsis deals with lots of willies in theatre (apparently there are lots of teenage lads now having to have a circumcision becaue they didn't have them as kids - DN has just had one which is why she told us that joyous fact)... it's just unfortunate when we have pigs in blankets at xmas!

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:31

agree with sputnik. don't know much about it, but will it get worse if you ignore it?

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 22:31

holly, you need to get it fixed, sooner rather than later. My gran had one for years before she got it fixed and it ended up being a big op where it could've been much simpler.

And tell your bloody DP . You say he must've noticed, but remember his limitations...he is a man getting his rocks off; all logic and reasoning go out the window in those circumstances

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:32

PMSL at pigs in blankets!

I will get it seen to, I promise. I really need to, it is not good. I need to stop being childish and pretend to be an adult!

AAAARRRGGGHHH!!

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:33

and wouldn't the actual op be under GA? so you wouldn't be aware of them fixing it, just maybe a couple of examinations first?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:34

That is true daisy, he might not have noticed. I should tell him really, but then he'd make me go to the dr and I'm scared!

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 22:36

now.......what was that paypal email.....

TELL HIM! You've had two babies; you surely can;t be worried about your dignity!

ooooh we need a new thread already! Better go off topic with the thread title

not funny at christmas dinner though!

our GP is monitoring DH for depression. she said he looked crap, though he is in an ok place just now but she wants to keep tabs on it. I feel like a bad wifey because (although I know he's been depressed in the past when he got divorced etc) he's always been the coper in our marriage and props me up etc. Arse.

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:37

dignity is even less precious after 3 daisy

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 22:38

She's hiding from us now

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:38

Yes, they'd do the op under GA, but I would need to be sure I didn't want any more dcs first. If you have another dc after the op it can cause irreparable damage. I'm sure I don't want any more, but then there's always the what if.

I hate having internal examinations as well. Especially by men. I have never had a problem with a MW having a rummage around, but a dr is a whole other thing. I had an examination by a male dr when pg with dd and even now the thought of it makes my blood run cold.

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 22:39

Oh, she's back

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:39

Oh ria, your poor dh. It must be really hard for him at the moment. Hope he is ok.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 22:40

This Way please

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 22:40

I was bfing ds whilst trying to type, that's why that post took so long! He is now asleep across my lap and is snoring loudly...I wonder where he gets that from ?!

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 22:42

Yes Holly, in fact pretend to be someone else entirely, that was always my preferred method of coping with strangers poking my bits.

It says here there is a ring thingy that's an alternative to surgery.

RiallyEeRiaee · 02/10/2008 22:43

can't you go to a practice (sp?) with a female doctor for "womens things", even if you aren't registered there? if you had another baby would you be able to have an elective CC? I don't know, not fair of me to put pressure on you when I don't have all the facts.

Anyone watching this bizarre Tom Cruise thing on C4?
