Bless him daisy! Bit shit about starting the new job, I bet he just wants to get there and get stuck in. I'm with you on the claustrophobia, when in one of those stores the other day and I got lost, couldn't find anything and generally thought I was going mad. It was a very strange experience! Very cheap though!

Norty, I usually have one child on each leg and dp sometimes joins in too! Ds is quite clingy sometimes, but nothing compared to how dd used to be. It was a phase, albeit a long one, but it did pass and we have come through the other side. She actually enjoys pre-school now, she asks to go and helps me make her packed lunch and everything. It is a joy to see her go off and be independent (if a little sometimes)!

Gotta go, Buzzcocks! Toodles x

You do know that they have a spectacular failure rate foxy?

Gardening leave would be bloody fantastic, but he doubts they will as he seems the only person there who knows WTF is going on most of the time.

Blimey, jst done a massive Tesco's delivery to come to Fortrose on Saturday and another huge one for when I get home.....not lots of shopping, just lots of money

Also just found out that the new electric meter that they insisted on changing back in July, is bloody faulty and has not registered ANY night-time elctricity since it was installed and has caused my electricity payments to go from £67 per month to £122 ....just shows how much you can save by running tumble dryer and dishwasher overnight.

LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:14

not just me with a clingly child then? It would be better if she learnt to communicate without screaming until I manage to guess what the matter is or what she wants.....I can certainly see how children get whatever they want ....tbh after 10 minutes I think, oh just fucking have it . I don't give in, but my god, I feel like it sometimes

Ohforfoxsake · 02/10/2008 21:18

ummm, no Daisy, I didn't know that. Really? Or are you winding me up?

I find giving in the easier option.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:18

Oh norty, bless. This bit is quite trying, but she'll get there. Hopefully a nice relaxing holiday will help.

I hate not knowing what DD wants though when she does the whinging for something, so she gets it, and then it wasn't that at all so she keeps on. thankfully her words do help, but not when she calls everything in site a fecking balloon.

And i worked out today that her ganna-me for a drink, is her actually trying to say "gimme it"...how charming and polite

Oh well.....patience is a virtue .....do feel a bit better knowing its not my fab parenting skills ...

Is it the copper coil or hormonal one Foxy? Did it hurt being fitted (sorry if TMI - but I was going to have one and chickened out....and probably wouldn't be sitting here like this now if I'd gone ahead )

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:23

sorry foxy . I know a couple of people who got pregnant with one fitted (my big sis for one) and they can get dislodged (when having a smear for example). Just make sure you have a fish around for the cord every so often. There have been a few "am I, aren't I?" threads in the pregnancy section on here.

Is it just the coil, or the one that secretes hormones as well (mirena?)

DH and I discussed it and as we decided we couldn't risk another pregnancy he has volunteered to go to the vets.

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 02/10/2008 21:27

Yes, I was going to go for the copper but it makes periods too heavy, and the hormone is such a low, direct dose in the mirena that I went with that (and the prospect of no periods).

Norty, it wasn't painful as such, uncomfortable and a bit of a pinch on my cervix, but done within 10 mins. And no where near as bad as being examined by a MW or having a sweep.

I have some gripy cramps now, and feel a bit shit.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:30

I like the idea of no periods though; I have to say. Maybe DH and I will go for the "belt and braces" approach to birth control

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 02/10/2008 21:31

And Norty, I chickend out before too. But this time I think its the answer. It really wasn't bad at all. Not nice, but not bad.

LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:31

The hormonal one is considered to be the "gold standard" form of contraception now as I was told at the time...more effective than the pill.....I just chickened out as I'm such a baby.

Good on your DH Daisy....mine volunteered me ....although it won't be done at the same time as the section (if that's what I have) as the risk of failure is higher apparently....so I've got to convince someone to remove my gall bladder and clip my tubes at the same time

Ohforfoxsake · 02/10/2008 21:33

I forgot about your gall bladder problem Norty. How is that? When will you get it sorted?

LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:33

I was also told that someone experienced would fit it without too many problems and that I shouldn't let my GP do it...no chance there.....I don't let that fucking woman do ANYTHING to me!

LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:34

Got to wait until after baby and re-refer.....presumably when DH can cope with 2 LO's overnight on his own ....

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:38

they offered me the op when I was open on the table having DD....maybe I should have said yes as well

My sis had it done but has had horrible period problems so it's kind of put me off. Her GP says it isn't connected, but she thinks otherwise as eveything was OK with her until she was sterilised.

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:38

Right, I'm off to try and get some sleep....

Don't expect I'll get on tomorrow so try not to fill up too many threads in the next two weeks as it'll take me too long to catch up!

Night all x

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:40

Have a good holiday Norty

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 02/10/2008 21:40

well I can always say he'll have to have it done or no more shagging

Night x

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 21:42

I fucking love Mark Ronson, he is soooo lovely! I want to marry him!

I am too frightened to get a coil. I have a few ishoos down there and am too scared to get them sorted. [big fraidy cat emoticon]

They prob wont do an op whilst you are still bfing either norty. I have to go back to get rereferred to have my tonsils out as they won't give me a GA whilst I am bfing. Bit of a PITA, but I can wait another 18 months or so, I think. Hopefully in the meantime I won't die of hemorrhage or septicemia (entirely possible)! Fingers crossed !

Dp is prepared to go and get the snip. I was all for it, but now I'm not so sure. I don't want any more babies, but I am still really young and who knows what the future holds. If we won the lottery I would have another, but that is not likely!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 21:44

Night norty, have a lovely time.

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 21:51

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:51

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/10/2008 21:53

I must buy a turkey baster next time I am in John Lewis !

Sputnik · 02/10/2008 21:58

I had a GA while bf.

You should really summon the courage to get yourself checked out Holly, I'd hate to have doctors poking about down there too, but it's preferable to peeing yourself when you run
