a funaplu.....what?

hopefully the gastric tube will help sort things out with her growth trace. My cousins little girl had one fitted when she was little for IUGR and slow weight gain. She is now like any other 10 year old.

lol at your DS fury; he makes my DD look like a saint . Pity the venue that ever hosts a June 07 get together

right....Wii fitters; have nearly convinced DH that DS and I are going to share a Wii for Christmas as I want Wii fit. I've had a look on various sites and there are all sorts of bits and gadgets that come with it....help, I have no idea where to start!

Evening all

For all my moaning about DH I do alright with him, like Fury, I must brow beat him more than most. He:

-looks after DD half the time
-does loads of little things for me like putting the lights on my bike tonight, downloading movies
-drops everything to remove spiders from my presence
-does more housework than me
-makes me cups of tea and brings me glasses of water
-sometimes makes my lunch for me

and basically will do most things that I ask without too much protesting, mostly because I am a lazy beeayach! All he's got to do now is get himself a job

Trace I hope Thursday goes ok, you must be terribly worried, but I'm sure you have no need to be.

Natty, hope you are doing ok. Thinking of you.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 19:56

Is it a fundoplication? I just googled it and it is a procedure to stop acid reflux. Sorry if that's wrong trace, but that's what I found when I had a look.

You don't need anything with the Wii Fit daisy. Just the box with the board and the game in. If you are having problems getting one then look on ebay. There are people on there selling Argos reservation codes for a couple of quid. If you can get one for your local store you can just go and collect one. That's what I did.

HellHathNoFury · 30/09/2008 19:57

DS is a cheeky, naughty little shit.
And he knows it. He can often be heard giggling when up to no good.

I am scared for the future.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 20:00

I think (or hope) that badness is just a phase. Ds was just whacking the tv with a golf club and is now standing on his ride on tractor trying to reach the DVDs. He too is a little shit.

LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 20:10

If I tell DD off, she looks at me all coy like and then just laughs. she hits and slaps anyone who comes in range and she bit DS on the lip tonight when he gave her a goodnight kiss. I really fear for this poor baby; I have visions of him being dragged around by the leg, his wee head bumping down staris etc! I will need to get a movement alarm on his crib, or else "wear" him 24 hours a day!

DH is pretty good here too (most of the time). He does more housework (including laundry and dishwasher duty), looks after the DCs pretty much single handed at weekends, does all the ironing, cleans out the gerbils and the fish, brings me cups of tea in bed on Sat/Sun mornings and takes away the cold ones that I haven't drunk, and lets me lie in every day he is here........he just never thinks to dust, hoover, sweep the kitchen floor or wipe up his wee from the bathroom floor when he misses. I bought him some whisky to say thanks at the weekend; he does put up with a lot at the minute.

Off to look for Wiis

Trace - big hugs for you, and loads of positive > for Thursday. A GA is horrible for us, but they bounce back remarkably quickly. Good luck with it, and look after yourself too. Its not going to be easy, but you will get through it xxx

LOL at your naughty DSs

As for your great husbands, you can all bugger off

LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 20:13

holly, what's happening with DP's old employers?

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 30/09/2008 20:14

Daisy wii consoles here

Don't forget to buy through Quidco and get cashback!

Ohforfoxsake · 30/09/2008 20:18

You will need to get another remote, so you can play against each other, or you can take turns. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is great - my boys race against each other (proper running on the spot, they haven't worked out they can just shake their hands ), and the Carnival Games look quite good and simple.

Wii Play is about £35 with a remote. I bought that with a console and wii fit from Game on line.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 20:18

Foxy, let's dump our crap dps and go out on the pull!!

The court case has been dropped, there was nothing to answer for. Dp disproved all the charges against him and managed to get £900 of unpaid commission as well! Result! His ex-employer's solicitor told him he should consider a career in law!! He hasn't shut up about it since! Bless!

Ohforfoxsake · 30/09/2008 20:20

I would, but alas am an over-weight, pushing 40 mother of 4 who dances badly. No one else will have me

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 20:24

Me too, I'm still quite young, but my body has been ravaged by child bearing/birth. I'd never let another man see me naked. I impose viewing my hideous naked body on dp, after all he is the one who made me this way!

I'd never really leave him, I do love him millions, even though I moan about him. I guess it is my fault in a way that he is such a lazy fecker, I can't be bothered to hen peck him!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 20:33

that's great news holly ...and woohoo for the extra commission!

foxy, you forgot to mention gorgeous

I have tried to send a multiple recipient message on FB....I hope it has worked.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 20:34

lol holly, I don't even let DH see me naked...other than a quick flash as I run past him on the way to the shower or in very dim light!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 20:35

FBed you back daisy.

Ohforfoxsake · 30/09/2008 20:35

I reckon its cos you are just too nice Holly. You treat him like a king, doncha?

I on the other hand, resent my DP for the very fact he sleeps with his eyes closed and digests. Amongst other things.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 20:38

I do foxy, I mother him because he doesn't have a mummy of his own. I like to compensate and make him lovely dinners and things! I am also very lazy and can't actually be arsed to nag him, it's much easier to do things myself!

Ohforfoxsake · 30/09/2008 20:44

You can still RUN Daisy?

Ahh, you see, I blame my MIL for DPs idle-ness!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/09/2008 20:54

Things are looking mad here for the next few days! I think I can fit it all in if I treat it like a military operation, but doubt I'll get any MN time

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/09/2008 20:56

Trace - good luck, thinking of you & Chloe.

Daisy - 'fraid the homework is govt. policy. We have to give it which is a pain cos then I have to plan it, chase it up, mark it & deal with those kids who don't bloody do it. Not really sure if it's worth it. What I recommend to parents who are having homework battles is to set a time limit depending on age but for your DS around 20 min. Then sign whatever has been achieved, add wee note if not finished & let teacher deal with it.

LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 21:01

Thanks tallulah . Is it the same down here as up there then? I think he may even have SATs at the end of this year . He refuses to read to me as well. I have an inkling it's me that has turned him off homework with my inherent lack of patience

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/09/2008 21:02

WTF...Anyone watching Jamie Oliver on C4? A 5yo whose never had a home cooked meal? She's eating cheesy chips from a takeaway!

LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 21:03

Well, when I say run, I mean hobble past him in a geriatric fashion before I heave myself saying "ooooooph" into the bath

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 30/09/2008 21:03

Mmmmmmmmmm cheesy chips.
