Hi norty,

That was my second test !

How many weeks are you now?

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 19:44

Hi Holly - shit sorry thought it was your 1st!

21 weeks this weekend - and knackered.....telling work next week I'm going off for 11 months ....will go down like a lead baloon I should think.....hey ho!

This time next week I'll be driving to Scotland for my holibobs

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 19:45

blimey! Crap typing ....well it is Friday night!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 19:49

21 weeks! Blimey! Doesn't time fly when you're having fun ?!

I can keep checking the website for cancellations. I just have to go on every day and look. It is a PITA.

Are you staying in a cottage in Scotland? I seem to remember this, but I can't be sure, my brain is not what it used to be!

Shit, I've left my P&T in the garden, better go and retrieve it before it gets all dewy!

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 19:53

Yes 2 cottages, one in Fortrose and one near Dundee somewhere. Just done a Tesco's shop to be delivered .....£120!!!! The journey is 661 miles....we must be bloody mad! Have bought a DVD player that goes over the back of the seat and taped 6 hours worth of cBeebies in an attempt to amuse DD....I'm dreading the drive!

I'm still procrastinating over doubie buggies....perhaps I'll just wait for the January sales.

Got a Next VIP slot tonight

LackaDAISYcal · 26/09/2008 19:58

Ewwww, just looked on the Next website at the sale stuff and all the kids clothes have Nike or Adidas all over them I think I'll just go into town tomorrow and have a look. I really need some jumpers and a black dress/skirt to wear with wacky tights!

A P&T was the only option for us norty. It is the only tandem that isn't about 84 foot long. What pushchair are you using atm?

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 20:01

oh well....bugger!

Mind you just paid £185 off for my last big Next shop so better off if there is naff all to spend money on

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 20:02

I've got a maclaren quest....really don't know what to do!

Right scampi is ready...later guys

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 20:02

Hi daisy.

Norty, which dvd player did you get? We want to get one for dd for Christmas.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 20:02

Have good scampi!

TALLULAHBELLE · 26/09/2008 20:06

Evening All -
Is a shame about your test Holly, but 3rd time lucky maybe.

Daisy - let me know if you need any advice re school. Tho am more used to 10 year olds than littlies.

Norty - I thought you were further on than that. I am 24 & a bit weeks & thought you knew you were pg ages before me. Not that I'm doubting you, obviously you know how far you are. Was just surprised. What's the new ruling for mat. leave. Do we get a full year now of paid leave?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 20:09

Awww tallulah, just looked at your profile, your dd is a cutie!

3rd time lucky...hopefully!

TALLULAHBELLE · 26/09/2008 20:13

Thanks Holly. Haven't put any pics up in ages. The mohawk is all gone, replaced by lots of blonde hair. I've had her fringe cut twice but it makes her look so grown up. Will need to add some up to date photos.

Ohforfoxsake · 26/09/2008 20:30

Evening

Daisy, how about giving the little fella a duvet day when you're out the other side of this one? Hope you and he are OK.

I took my double buggies to the dump today - felt oddly sentimental about it.

I got my DVD player with Nectar points. Holly, I'd look out for one with dual screens. Let me know if you find one, would you? Thanks

And Sputnik, ARSE for you fecking WM!

Ohforfoxsake · 26/09/2008 20:33

am I the only one who remembers Barbapapa?

TALLULAHBELLE · 26/09/2008 20:49

Nup - I remember it too. But when you first said it I thought of the elephant. Was that just Barbar then?

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 20:49

It's ok, the anomaly has been located, sme polystyrene from the packing was still stuck underneath. Phew!

I remember Barbapapa!

LackaDAISYcal · 26/09/2008 20:54

Ds has opened up a wee bit

I don;t know if anyone remembers me going on about some inappropriate behaviour going on last year and DSs friend was involved and got the blame...cue SS and medical examinations etc. He was eventually cleared and it turns out it was another boy that was instigating it. Well on Wed DS and this boy were caught with their hands in each others trousers....on the carpet in the middle of a lesson . DS said that the other boy started it and then told him to take his button out so he could get his hand in further then took his button out and told DS to do the same to him.

Anyhoo, we told him that he needs to stay away from this boy, and he said "that's what miss said too". One thing he did say was that nothing like this has happened before although this boy apparently kicks open the cubicle doors when DS is in the toilet and he doesn't like it. We aren't sure what to do about it as the only reason we know about anything going on last year is because we know boy who was initally blamed's mum and she confided in us. Should we go see the head, or just leave it and hope it all goes away? given what was going on last year though, I definately don't want it to get to that stage.

Poor DS, he has just been down apologising for every bad thing he has ever done, inlcuding the incident and talking over lots of his worries. Whether he is apologising because of what they were doing or whether they got caught I'm not entirely sure.

Aaaah kids.

sorry, been trying to type this for ages so have probably missed a dozen posts as I didn;t refresh the screen.

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 21:04

Hi again....scampi was scrummy

Tallulah, when I found out I was pg I had NO idea how far along I was as couldn't remember when my last period was and had to wait AGES for scan when I found out I was 9 weeks....so was probably only 3-4 weeks when I knew....only took the test cos I was due to have my gall bladder out 2 days later .....anyhoo, due 8th Feb

Holly, we got our DVDs from Argos (2 of them in a pack) in a sale for £75 for both....can't see them on there now, but these are pretty similar (although double the price )

Poor DS Daisy ....no advice from me as I haven't a clue about older children....not sure I could not do anything though...

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 21:09

Don't remember them Foxy....I thought of Barbar the elephant as well

Tallulah....I'm taking 9 months mat leave. In NHS you get 8 weeks full pay, 18 weeks half pay + SMP, 13 weeks AMP only (and 13 weeks unpaid - but we can't afford to do this) and I'm adding on shitloads of annual leave (I get 6 weeks a year) to either end as well, so 11 months in total. It'll be baked beans on toast for months 6-9

Daisy, I've read very similar threads on MN in the past - you can always name change if you want to.....there are definately others on here that have gone through similar things ....

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 21:11

oh fuck - missed 10 mins of my next slot...see ya later x

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 21:15

Daisy I really don't know, but if the teacher was aware of this incident she presumably would go to the head if she thought it was appropriate. Sorry this has happened, it raises all kinds of questions doesn't it, not least where this boy learnt this behaviour. Your DS obviously senses soemthing is wrong, I think I would try and downplay it with him.

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 21:21

well that was quick & easy....feck all there!

Whats Replay and Son? A £68 childs skirt reduced to £30 ....

LackaDAISYcal · 26/09/2008 21:23

thanks sputnik. We don't want to make an issue of it. He knows that what he did was wrong; because they were in lessons at the time and because it just isn't the done thing to put your hands in other people's trousers. In some way though, he senses that because we aren't getting angry with him makes it a bigger deal? I just don't want it escalating to the levels it did last year with DSs friend.

Am being paranoid that someone I know might read this so think I'm going to remove my profile for a bit...at least the photos.
