Hi Tallulah! Hope you are ok. Is it hard work cooking two at once?

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:24

Will he be distracted out of it Holly?

IamRiallyindisguise · 25/09/2008 22:26

hi all.

scary boots foxy, but nice. no-one dresses like that for the school run in these parts.

I have to admit skim-reading had me in confusion about daisys pic

I never want to see a fecking scone again! (and DS1 is not eating them 2 at a time any more). All done and washed up finally and am buggered (also buggered up the shortbread)

for heartburn but at what you'll be getting at the end of it.

Sputnik · 25/09/2008 22:27

I soooo don't miss pg heartburn. Sympathies to both of you.

Holly how about changing everything for a few days so you end up not sitting down: go out, find someone to look after him, distract, be very busy etc. Do you think that might help?

Only 3 minutes left....

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2008 22:28

Yep hard work. Just like one only only the aches & pains set in sooner. No further forward on pram thingy. Borrowed a M&P double buggy today as my friend watching DD with her wee one. Couldn't get the blardy thing out the close door. Was quite a compact thing too. Now imagine it with a toddler seat/ buggypod etc too. Aaargh.

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:28

ahh, Ria! Hello you. Can't believe you've gone off scones. I give you til tomorrow - think of lovely clotted cream and jam, mmmm

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 22:28

two minuteas and counting now.

talk to y'all soon

we hope

are they switching us off?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 22:30

Nope, no distraction. We've tried DVDs, toys, books, food, drink and nothing works. It's boobs he wants and he won't stop until he gets them! He is a little bugger atm and is not really in my good books. The trouble is is the worse he behaves, the worse dd behaves, then I end up yelling and throwing things. It's not good.

Sputnik, my dd was like it as well, and funnily enough is a brilliant sleeper now too. I think it's just a case of weathering the storm. I just need to wait a few more months until he can understand the words "Just bloody go to sleep" and we'll be fine !

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:30

am I still here?

IamRiallyindisguise · 25/09/2008 22:30

I don't even like fruit scones. What do you all know that I don't with this counting?
No sewing tonight - am all domesticated out. Wine, and lots of it!

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 11:25

Oooh we are still here.
Shiny new server, shiny new washing machine

TALLULAHBELLE · 26/09/2008 13:32

Don't know what to suggest about the b/f thing. My DD just decided to stop one day soon after her 1st birthday.Went completely cold turkey from 3 feeds a day. Every time I tried to feed her she shook her head & after a few days I stopped offering. She's never looked for it since. I wonder if my pg changed my milk & she didn't like it any more. Could be the answer there Holly!

IamRiallyindisguise · 26/09/2008 14:19

please not I didn't sit like a sad person and wait for the server to come back on last night

all coffee mornings duly supported. am bored now.

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 14:38

Me neither, I went and looked at the news. Apparently there are elections coming up in America and everything

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 14:43

PMSL Tallulah! I'm not that desperate for a solution !

Why is it that the one evening I get on here and chat properly for the first time in ages and MN throws us off?! I was having a lovely time! Bloody server!

Hurrah for shiny new washing machines sputnik! I have a shiny new dishwasher, it is ace!

I have a brand new travel system on ebay atm. It is a £400 Mothercare one, so I've got it on for £320 or best offer, thinking that I'll accept offers of £300. That seems fair doesn't it? £300 for a £400 pushchair? Someone has just offered me £100! What was the point in that? I feel insulted, the bloody cheek! I also have my Didymos on there too. I love it, but I've decided to keep the Totsbots carrier as it does the job and I think I'll get more for the Didy on ebay. I do feel a bit though.

What a lovely day! Ds and I have just been playing cars in the garden, bless him. He wasn't in my good books yesterday, but I've decided I do actually quite like him really!

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 14:49

I'd be happier if the bloody thing would spin. I've read the manual and everything.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 14:59

Oh dear, not spinning is not good. Hope you can fix it.

HellHathNoFury · 26/09/2008 15:17

afternoon all

Holly, big fat wanking arse for your test results.
Can you believe it, we are due for a sunny weekend.
So what shall I do?
A drive in the country, a drunken BBQ perhaps?

Nope, a petting zoo.

wooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 15:25

Pah, you think that's bad, we have a children's party

Actually I think it's DH's turn

Sputnik · 26/09/2008 17:45

Well my new washing machine apparently has "an anomaly"

Which is always heavy shit when it happens in Star Trek. I hope I'm not about to enter some alternative universe, or something.

LackaDAISYcal · 26/09/2008 18:38

Evening all........MN didn't implode then?

holly..are you selling the Close Carrier?

Had a meeting with DSs teacher today and although he is slow at his work; she is happy that he is more than capable of doing it all, just that he is far too easily distracted....which is good. But then she went on to talk about an incident he was involved in that wasn't quite so good . Not too sure what to do about it. We tried to talk to DS, but he just got really upset and is refusing to talk about it. I'm wondering all sorts now and is his quick to get angry and defensive behaviour connected in any way. don;t want to say too much about it here as it's a bit sensitive.

It also turns out that his so called new best friend is being a bit of a bully to him as well; nothing too serious, but not letting him play; telling him he is only his best friend outside of school, calling him names when he is with another boy (the one whose mum was accosting me yesterday and only got back to school this week) and being nasty to him in general.

My poor baby . I just want to take him out of that school and wrap him up in cotton wool forever.....and to quiz him about what else has been going on (not productive I know).

sorry for being so miserable

and DD hasn't had a poo since Wednesday. Should I be worried?

Daisy, you will have a pressie arriving in the post in the next couple of days ! Hope MRR is ok, poor little mite. I don't blame you for feeling , no matter how old they are they will always be our little babies. I wish I could just keep mine away from the big bad world too. It's scary!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/09/2008 19:19

Oh and I was in Waitrose earlier and just skimmed through M&B mag whilst dd was choosing a magazine and our lovely andie was in there! It was her car seat testing article.

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2008 19:37

A quick hello

Arse for your test Holly...I passed 2nd time....

I saw Andie in M&B as well....are you lurking Andie?

Forgotten everything else I was going to say ...

Poor DS Daisy....hope he's ok and you get it sorted....he'll open up in time.
