the thing about sleep deprivation is that you can survive on it indefinately, but as soon as you get a decent kip you feel more knackered. I think.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:57

Wow foxy, nice boots! V pricey though! Hope it was dp's money you used to buy them !!

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 21:58

Knickers on head is common here. Anthea Turner recommends using a thong as a scrunchy you know. But hers are probably clean.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 21:58

oooh, I like foxy. lurvely boots. I struggle with knee length boots due to being a short arse....below the knee; fine, over the knee; fine if it floats your boat, on the knee boots; NO NO NO NO NO.

those look like a good compromise.

I use my thongs as scrunchies since I can't actually wear them as things any more.

DD had my discarded knickers on her head this morning when I was in the shower.....and you know what being pregnant does to your nether regions......Mmmmmmmmm nice

Ahh, they were. And yes he did.

He sent me a text saying "have £100 to spend on yourself". He doesn't seem to realise that virtual money does NOT COUNT. What was I meant to do? Show them the text and tell them I'm good for it?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 22:02

I second that foxy. I always feel really rough after a good sleep. I think your body realises what it is missing out on and tells you off!

Ok, I'll give you the golden bucket award!

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:02

ewww! I don't want to think of my nethers during pregnancy. A big, purple cauliflower is a fairly close description though.

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:03

I am delighted to accept!

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 22:05

I actually had a look at mine the other day as I'm having some "embarrasing feminine itching" issues and was immediately horrified and refuse to look again. Weird though that it doesn't feel the way it looks....feels normal imo.

sorry that was way way way TMI

PMSL at paying with a text message. Lovely of him to get you a pressie though. I find lot of arseishness can be forgiven with a gift of shoes!

Thongs as scrunchies?! Ewwww! I guess it is a good use for them. My knicker draw is full of them, but haven't been able to wear them after the trauma of childbirth!

Sputnik · 25/09/2008 22:05

lovely boots Foxy.

DS has been pretty good sleep-wise Holly.
He wakes (I think, don't look at clock) maybe around 5 or 6, eats and goes back to sleep. Most of the time.

You?

Sputnik · 25/09/2008 22:08

Whaddya mean TMI Daisy? Post a pic on your profile

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 22:10

Shit sputnik. Shit, shit, shit! My ds cannot sleep unless I feed him to sleep, so every time he wakes I have to feed him otherwise he wakes properly and starts screaming. I feel like the living dead! I've got to the point where I don't actually have the energy to deal with it, so it will have to carry on as is for now. Glad yours has got better though.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 22:11

Daisy, you minger! I do not want to see a pic of that, but I would like to see a pic of your new 'do. Take one before you sleep on it.

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:12

a picture of Daisy's new hair and glasses presumably?!

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:15

You still happy feeding Holly?

Have to admit, I fed LO at about 5am. Took her back to bed at 6, then decided going back myself would be a really bad idea.

And she helped herself tonight. I find it a bit disconcerting when she gets them out of my bra and latches on with no help from me, insisting "MAAMAA.MAAMAAA"

Sputnik · 25/09/2008 22:16

My DD was like that Holly, she would wake (and be fed to sleep) several times even before we went to bed. She got much better around 18 months. I seem to remember around then telling her she couldn't bf til it got light, it worked in the end.

She's a great sleeper now btw, if that makes you feel better!

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2008 22:17

Hi how's everyone tonight? Just checking in, should really be going to bed but no point as got killer heartburn so will only lie awake in agony.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 22:18

pmsl

wonder if MN would ban you for that?

can't find leads to connect camera to computer (damn this nesting; I can't find a blardy thing now)

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 22:19

snap tallulah. I had to doze fitfully sleep sitting upright last night as everytime I lay down it burned.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 22:19

have you sorted out your pram dilemma yet?

13 minutes til the server goes down ladies....

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 22:22

Oh, the bfing thing is a sore subject atm foxy. He will not stop. It is all day. Every time I sit down he climbs on me and helps himself, if I don't let him he screams until he gags. Literally he'll be retching and covered in snot and keeps on until I let him feed. I really don't know what to do about it. I don't want to stop feeding, but I would like to cut it down to a reasonable amount.

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 22:22

Whats that Sputnik? Server? Going down?

Hi T. Heartburn is shite. You have my sympathies.
