been quiet today hasn't it?

have a great time storm.(again)

I'm off to do more baking in a minute - Mc Millan coffee mornings tomorrow at family houe and at school, don't fancy getting up at 5 to do it tomorrow. It'll still be fresh!

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 20:34

where the blinking flip is everyone today?

had my first ever unsolicited stroking, yes stroking of my bump in all three pregnancies today.

this silly woman (one of DSs classmates mum) came straight at me and I was wedged between two other mums on a bench so I couldn't escape. And not only did she cop a feel, but she kept stroking me....I was gobsmacked and surrounded as I was by other mums; couldn't really tell her to fuck off, even though that's what my gut instinct was telling me to do. I just lamely said "ooh, someone's broody".

I hope she isn't a MNer lol (I doubt it, but you never know)

If she was she'd have known better, I'd think.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 20:42

she's a bit, well, chavvy, to be a snob about it....they are only back in school this week as they went on holiday for the first two weeks back, as you do

Shall we print you up a "you toucha my bump, I smasha your face" t-shirt

[nostalgic]

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 20:52

All well with virgil as well.....although bump measuring 35 weeks (am 34 weeks). she said nothing to worry about it as he feels the right size...not too big at all and she thinks it's all in the fluid.

Evening chicks.

I'm over my failure of yesterday. My mum has offered to pay for another test for me and said that she'll insure me on her car so I can take the test in that. I love my mummy! I can't really take it in my car as it's a bit fucked and tends to stall at lights sometimes and not restart. Not something you really want to happen on your test! My mum has a spanking new car, which might be a bit more reliable. She's quite nice my mum! It means that I don't have to shell out for the use of my instructors car and I can take the next available test, rather than waiting to co-ordinate it with his timetable.

Daisy, good news about Virgil. Glad he is growing well, maybe you'll have a William sized sprog (or not )!! You should have given the gropey mum a good boob squeeze in return, that would have stopped her wandering hands! When I was pg with ds a friend of mine lifted my top up in a really busy soft play centre and had a grope of my exposed bump. Needless to say she is no longer my friend!!

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 21:27

Aw that's great from your mum holly

lol at squeezing her boobs. Will try that next time.....or maybe not. she is hard as f*** and would have me in a fight

Are you trying for a VBAC? Big babies are a piece of piss, easier to give birth to apparently. I wouldn't know, I have no experience of small ones, but my big ones were no trouble really!

Sputnik · 25/09/2008 21:37

Hiya Holly. Nice of your mum

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 21:38

but I am such a dinky wee thing (mind you, I've always had good child rearing hips as they say)

Yes, vba2c for me, I hope anyway! Seeing the consultant a week on Monday to discuss. They want me to deliver before 41 weeks so will no doubt want to book me in for a section. I'm going to (try and) argue very hard for that not to happen.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:40

Hi sputnik, how's things? How are you getting on with ds's sleeping?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:46

I guess I am a bit of a giant, hence the giant sprogs! Good for you, fight your corner and I really hope you get the birth you want, you deserve it.

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 21:48

Good luck Daisy. I think you will be more clued up than the consultant! Glad Virgil is growing well.

I agree with Holly, big babies are easier - you are less scared of how fragile they are And my biggest was born in the bag with her waters (do I get the biggest fanny prize then? )

I heart your mum too, Holly. But that's because she once cooked a leg of lamb in the washing machine, didn't she? But she is lovely to you. I'd still borrow her if you want to lend her to me.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 21:49

I met a friend in The City for lunch, which was nice. Considered staying on and drinking long into the night, but given I've been up since 4am, came home. A wise move I think!

How are you feeling?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:52

Oh yes foxy, she's a bit scatty, my mum! I often wonder where I get it from ! She is lovely and is the sort of mum I want to be when I grow up!

I'll fight you for the biggest fanny prize!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:54

Sounds nice foxy, glad you had a good lunch, well done for going home though. I would have been tempted to stay out to, but these things always get messy!

Ohforfoxsake · 25/09/2008 21:55

Nah, thanks. Am buggered. Going to finish my wine and go to bed. Hopefully DP won't follow.

Got these for the school run. I think technically the term for them is 'kick arse boots'. Pricey, but I was like a kid in a sweet shop in the Duo shop. Finally, boots to fit my chunky calves!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/09/2008 21:55

OMG, ds is walking around with a pair of dd's knickers on his head!! Odd squad!

LackaDAISYcal · 25/09/2008 21:55

was that to me foxy?

If so, I'm positively thriving on sleep deprivation

My hairdo is so perty, and the new goggles make me look terribly sophisticated. I should get a photo before I ruin it all tomorrow!
