Happy Birthday to your DD Fairy.

Sorry to hear your troubles Foxy. IKWYM about things running smoothly & then there's suddenly another person on the scene upsetting the balance. I often wonder what I have gotten myself into, although different issues entirely. Hope you sort things out & are happy with whatever decisions you make. It'll all come out in the wash as they say in these parts.

Sputnik · 23/09/2008 21:18

"I'll bake a cake" is this some usage I never heard? I take it he wasn't baking a cake.

Sorry I am cut off here.

Ohforfoxsake · 23/09/2008 21:19

Sputnik · 23/09/2008 21:23

Ah ok now I geddit [slow]

Blimey, he is being a grumpy old git.

LittleMissNorty · 23/09/2008 21:26

Bloody hell Daisy...£140 for a changing bag .....blimey I'm after a new changing bag that will fit everything in for 2 littlies, but DH would have a fit if I spent £140!

LittleMissNorty · 23/09/2008 21:27

blimey, just seen a black patent one with leopard print lining.....I must be getting old

LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 21:30

I thought it was down south speak for "parking outwith the confines of the venue car park" or summat.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 21:31

lordy norty, I would never buy it; only covet the damn thing for ever more

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 23/09/2008 21:31

Well I must be really thick cos I still don't get it!

Was he suitably contrite after the parking ticket?

LittleMissNorty · 23/09/2008 21:35

Is it my PC or is MN a bit slow tonight?

Ohforfoxsake · 23/09/2008 21:41

Daisy, he is northern

I'll bake a cake .... to celebrate the good news. He is being sarky and humourless. Contrite, no. Sulky and angry, yes.

Patent and leopard print you say?

LackaDAISYcal · 23/09/2008 21:43

lol foxy, I must admit I thought of you when I read norty's post

I have solved my bag problems, I am currently using a small leather bag about the size of a binocular case (I elbowed aside a dozen Romanians at the market to get it for 5 euros, it's vintage), it holds wallet, phone, keys, tissues, lip balm and teething gel. It's becoming one of my favourite ever bags. I switched to that when I realised my bag had too many pockets and was just filling with tissues.

Everything child related goes in a sort of beach bag (nappy stuff in here thing slung on the buggy.

LittleMissNorty · 23/09/2008 21:45

Oh...sorry, end of a loooooong day! When I saw my counsellor last week we discussed the male ability to sulk and he said a really good book is out there called "The big sulk" and although he's a bloke himself, he freely admitted its a male trait which they're very good at

My DH got a parking ticket on his last week at work......I deal with those, its the speeding fines that get me going!

Sputnik · 23/09/2008 21:46

Patent is wipeable I suppose. However in 9 months time patent will be so over.

Ohforfoxsake · 23/09/2008 21:50

My Sindy doll had a black patent trenchcoat. She looked like a hooker (i'd dress her in it with nothing underneath). you can see where I started my love of black plastic clothing!

Ohforfoxsake · 23/09/2008 21:55

RIghto, I'm off to bed. Sleep well all xx
