I am going to show my inner chav and reveal that I am too lazy to use a changing bag, and end up chucking everything in a carrier bag, or a throw a nappy in my handbag and hope for the best.

I do HAVE a changing bag, it's just big and a PITA and I can't be arsed.

Morning Fury

my washing machine is broken

HHAAAAAARRRRRRHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR

Ohforfoxsake · 24/09/2008 09:29

Thanks to LO for her contribution there

HellHathNoFury · 24/09/2008 09:33

Morning Foxy

WTF with your washing machine? What Gods have you pissed off in order for them to inflict such bollocks your way?!

Ohforfoxsake · 24/09/2008 09:37

dunno but all the swimming towels are in there. can't get an engineer for a week!

We've had plagues (worms, nits), infestations (rats), floods (leaking WM and blocked drains). All since Sunday.

Ohforfoxsake · 24/09/2008 09:41

anyway, how are you today? well done on your website thingy. looks good.

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 10:04

arse for your washing machine foxy. I would collapse and die without mine; and there are only four of us!

i never use a changing bag either fury. I've got a little cloth bag that's just big enough for a couple of nappies and some wipes which fits in my big handbag or under the pram. If I have lots of stuff, I use one of my fetching collection of jute or canvas supermarket bags....favourite at the moment is a blue spotty Cath Kidston effort from Tesco. They are great bags; satisfy my bag buying addiction, but are cheap as chips.

DD is driving me up the wall today. She is in that mood where she whines for something and then when she gets it she whines as well for whatever reason. Nothing is making her happy. And she pulled all the packets of rice and pasta out of the cupboard and then poured a whole box of cereal on the kitchen floor (it was only opened this morning) and was sitting eating it.....the poor deprived starved child.

I want to go back to bed and forget I have children.

Daisy DS is often like that, it drives me insane.
I usually put him in his cot as with him it's usually tiredness.

Or teething in which case we all just have a miserable day as he whinges and cries and screams all day.

Sputnik · 24/09/2008 10:43

Oh Foxy I feel your pain, our new washing machine will arrive on friday (hopefully), and levels of dirty washing are reaching critical. Of course DD chose this week to wet the bed, twice, something she hardly ever does.

Anyway, watch out for the rain of frogs and plagues of locusts, won't you.

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 11:09

I've done something to my forearm. think it might be a pulled muscle. I can't do any lifting with it as it's sooooooore when I flex my elbow.

'tis my tea drinking arm too!

Oh bugger for the washing machine epidemic.

Have to confess it took me a while to get the cake comment, but I got there in the end.

I have been out and bought fabric this morning (needed food really though I did buy some) and some lovely threads in bundles (what's the word - skein?) of different shades of the same colour - IYSWIM - for 20p each! (very cheap shop near supermarket) I can't wait to get started - is it too early to collect the kids from school and do tea and bed?

Ekka - I do bits, probably a greeting a card every year, by the time the kids are asleep I can't be bothered. I am hoping to do a couple of things and maybe a card or two for christmas. I keep buying design books for 50p at boot sales

must go, scones to make for film group and DH being grumpy.

Hi everyone

he is rude Storm, yes you are right.

But he is being very nice to me today, and suggested we buy a new washing machine . Perhaps he had a chat with his mate last night and decided to stop being a swine. I don't know, and frankly I don't care.

He's just very negative, and that is draining.

OOh, I have a whiney little baby girl here today. Roll on 1pm. She will be in bed and DD1 will be in nursery.

I think hand-sewn pjs on Christmas Eve is the height of lovliness

LOL at your LOs 'Rad Moves'. DD2 protested very loudly when I tried to stand her up on her own two feet today

HellHathNoFury · 24/09/2008 12:09

Am I a bad mother? I definately don't do hand sewn pj's

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 12:22

the only thing I sew is name tags on school clothes....and even that has gone by the wayside since I found my fabric pen!

what is the MN pj tradition storm? is it new PJs on on Christmas eve?

I am getting eff all done today. DD is now feral and won't be coralled. she tried to bite me three times earlier.

I blame the horrible child at minimovers yesterday who was being aggressive to everyone.

DS is going to his mates tonight so at least I don't have to do the school run...and gotta tidy up as DH is home tonight.

Still waiting on the formal offer of the job, but he has had a verbal. Apparently he will cover two departments and both need to sign it off or some such nonsense before they can do the written offer. I hope it doesn't all fall through!

OP posts:
IamRiallyindisguise · 24/09/2008 12:45

oh bugger daisy, that sounds so stressful, esp when most job offers are bullshit in some way or another (sorry to be negative

what the hell are they doing to Postman Pat? here. It's one of my favourites, they can't mess it about. DH says Greendale PO would be closed down in the cuts!

I have been picking up stocking fillers in the supermarket sales, stationary and stuff. I don't think I could sew PJs if I tried, though I ususally buy some. I might cross-stitch a spitfire for DS1 if I get time (not likey, I'll be bored with it in a week). Can't quite face the thoughts of presents for our kids just yet. I'm not sure where our nearest poundland is TBH. But thanks for the tip.

IamRiallyindisguise · 24/09/2008 13:02

LOL sputnik at you elbowing the people out of the way at the market. It made me

Must get sorted for film group - how do I connect Heath Ledger with the bible then?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/09/2008 13:08

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Leaving for my driving test in 25 minutes...I'm fucking shitting myself...I feel sick. Bollocks!

I'll catch up when I get back later, I can't do it now, I can't concentrate.

Keep all fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed for me and let's hope I don't forget to change gear this time !

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LackaDAISYcal · 24/09/2008 13:36

GGOD LUCK HOLLY.

You know you can drive; so just get out there and prove it

Ria, I got some great stocking fillers from a website last year....I'll see if I can dig out a link. Lots of wee things for a couple of quid or less.
