We have viruses here. 4 days of school and first cold. Which the baby now has too. Sigh.

Not sure what happened to my colleague, it's a very big office and I didn't want to be nosey IYKWIM, but the ambulance guys were in. I heard he fell and the chair broke his fall but he bashed his head. Not sure what caused the fall though.

it's still very quiet.

Bumper - if yo're around, how did your DH get on?

Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 21:16

'lo Ria

tis quiet. do they think there's something good about real life then???

So, we have all been de-wormed, rats have been dealt with, outside drain unblocked - oh its all been happening here. At least the rats aren't in the flat (phew!).

I went to Ikea today and started my Christmas shopping. Bought the cutest Christmas stockings for their beds and a china tea set for DD. I went for their Xmas stuff . At least I didn't buy a christmas tree (but I did pick it up to!)

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 21:20

ouch for your colleague fury.

hey Ria, I am here as always, but lurking rather than posting too much.

hi storm if you are still about. Do you know whether expressing colustrum at around 33 weeks pregnant is a good or bad thing to do. One of my AN buddies has had to express as her boobs are uncomfortably full. I said I didn't think it would affect her milk as this doesn't kick in until all the hormonal changes fter delivery, but not sure what effect it would have at the minute. I think she is worried she is going to be spurting milk everywhere. If you have any wise words I'd be grateful

I'm doing nappy stuff this evening. If I sell all the surplus to requirement nappies I have, there is about £200 there! that's half a Phil&Teds ]

My nipples feel like someone has been sticking hot needles in them all day....nippy sore

sorry to hear about the poorly or parasite ridden LOs...and the rats . Puts my spider problems in perspective a bit

DD did really well at swimming this morning. They had them in armbands for the first time and after a bit of fighting, she realised that she could float and was quite happy floating on her tummy and was even making swimming motions. Not so keen on her back though.

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 21:30

That's quite unusual about the colostrum isn't it?

Bless DD Daisy! its lovely when they enjoy the water isn't it?

Are you getting a P&T then Daisy?

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 21:34

I hope so foxy....although I'm thinking that if I have bub in the sling, then we don't actually need a P&T, and we have two buggies so we are covered for weekends when DH is about.

But I really need a P&T

Evening!!
Had a morning at the local gym and L went in the creche. First time Ive been in a gym for 3.5yrs!! I actually think I was one of the slimmest in there when i caught sight of myself in the mirror - so I just need to tone!! Felt quite good about myself for once!
and I managed to run for 5mins on the treadmill (at the end of the session ) without peeing myself and my bum didnt feel like it was bouncing up and down too much!!

Then took L swimming, she loved going down the little slide and didnt bat an eye about going under!

Back there again tomorrow as Ive a 7 day pass. Think I'll sleep well tonight.

Mind you - she's back to 2 wakes in the night and she is wearing a bag so its not that she's cold.

Had to chuckle to myself Sputnik after visualising you standing with all the Romanians!!

Where are you advertising your nappies Daisy?

Sputnik · 22/09/2008 22:06

So poor Baby Sputnik woke screaming. Apparently the only cure is sitting on mummy's lap and watching Maisy

Is it too young to have man-flu?

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 22:13

glad you have a bit of a confidence boost jbm

ouch at the twice nightly waking though! Are you still BFing?

nappies are listed here but if you are interested in anything (I have some lovely girly pocket nappies I will do you a deal, let me know via FB rather than on the thread

Poor baby sputnik , I hope he is OK and you all get some rest tonight.

Has anyone seen Natty around? I'm a bit worried about her, but not sure I have any contact details for her. Were they moving house again?

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 22:15

JBM, I read that as 3.5 hours in the gym! Am still mightily impressed.

Sputnik, I wish one of my children would get up - be better company than my DP.

What do you do when you realise you don't like your life partner much?

Sputnik · 22/09/2008 22:17

Was wondering too about Natty. They were moving at some point. Hope all is ok.

Ok, he doesn't have man flu, he is trying to walk around in his sleeping bag.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 22:17

yes, I'm sure she was moving. Have you messaged her on FB?

Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 22:17

I love it when they do that Sputnik - its so funny!

Sputnik · 22/09/2008 22:18

That bad Foxy?

Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 22:18

yeh

justbeme · 22/09/2008 22:18

Wow Daisy - Hope you get a deal with that lady!!

Yes still BF'ing - can't see how I can not!! I gave up with DD1 when she was 15mths I think - but DD2 just LOVES it!! Still feeding about 4 times a day sometimes and in the night for the last 2 nights rather than her languish in bed with me for 2 hrs at a time (comfort sucking and me falling asleep) - Ive sat up on the side of the bed and within 10 mins she's asleep and back in her cot.

How do you bottle feeders pacify your babies if they wake in the night? Or dont they wake?

Wonder if Norty is ok?

LackaDAISYcal · 22/09/2008 22:20

durr....FB, of course, I forgot she was on there!

for you and your DP foxy. I get that feeling about my DH sometimes, but it usually passes (the speed with which it does being directly proportional to how extravagant he is ). Hang in there; you've had a lot of time apart this summer and it takes time to re-adjust

Ohforfoxsake · 22/09/2008 22:22

if you do go onto FB, check out DKMAs profile pic. She still looks glam goofy!
