That's terrible LES. I understand that they might be embarrassed but I don't get why they didn't just admit it.

Dalrymps · 03/11/2008 19:28

Hey ladies, have uploaded 4 new birthday pics if you fancy a look

Les - thanks very much for the offer, it's a lovely coat but we've been given loads by sil and I don't think he'd grow into it till spring anyway. Hope you find a buyer. Thats quite a lot of damage to the laptop .

I'm gonna load more pics on to facebook as it's easier than putting them on here cause I don't have to reduce them first so if any of you fancy a look thats where they'll be.

Off to eat a wispa mmmmm

ffs i wanna scream
I went onto AIBU about the laptop situation and I am being made to be the bad one ffs

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 03/11/2008 21:32

Anya's done a bit more standing up over the last few days - still don't think she realises she's doing it though. No more walking yet. She's been really grumpy today - she's hardly slept and everything I've tried to entertain her with gets hurled across the room.

Went to the dentist today - luckily I just needed a filling smoothing off , but my mouth's still a bit sore. But good news, we now have a brand sparkly heating system after our plumber has been here most of the weekend giving it a good clean and putting a new pump in, so hurray! No more autumns of luke-warm water and cold radiators.

Anya is a size 3h shoe - can't actually find any that broad! She's happy in bare feet around the house though and soft shoes when we go out. She's still in 6-9 month clothes but only just.

Stefka - good luck with your interview.

FT - you must post a pic of Alex in his devil's outfit - I think that would suit him very well .

Apricot - well done to Huw walking everywhere.

Alice - pass our love on to Choc when you next see her.

Inzi - glad you had a good holiday - shame your pets are traumatised, I hope they settle down again soon.

Happy belated birthday to Dylan - sorry I missed it.

Happy birthday Jane, hope you have had a lovely day.

Happy birthday for Henry on Wednesday - just in case I don't post again before then .

Hello to everyone else not mentioned.
x

Stefka · 03/11/2008 21:37

LES that forum can be vicious. I don't get it really - you guys are all so lovely but it seems there are some really nasty people on mumsnet.

Way to go Anya!

Dalrymps · 03/11/2008 21:43

LES - I just tried to look for the AIBU thread to see what the nasty people were saying to you but it's not there? Did you have it pulled?

Theladyevenstar · 03/11/2008 21:52

Dal yes, I was being called unreasonable etc, tbh maybe I am but they damaged it and need to admit to it!there is a piccy on my profile here

strawberrylace · 03/11/2008 21:56

stefka = completely agree with you! i avoid posting anywhere else than here, cos others seem so disrespectful! i value others opinions but think people should be polite, not overly critical as everyone has a different point of view etc, but i think i am in a minority...
Whereas on this thread you are all lovely...

alicet · 03/11/2008 22:25

Happy Birthday Jane! Hope you're having (or had anyway) a lovely day!

Sorry to hear about your laptop LES - what a nightmare.

About the shoes - Adam is a 4F and they do seem a little big on him although they very definately did measure that in the shop! He manages OK in them though. Sam like Ollie was in smaller ones at this age and also has always been in smaller clothes than his age too whereas Adam has been spot on.

Anyway I've just finished packaging up lots of stuff I've sold on ebay - I've made just over £100 selling old baby stuff which I'm really pleased about! Money in the bank of ebay to buy loads more stuff then ! More stuff listed this week but think it probably won't go for as much but fingers crossed!

Anyway dh and I have a lovely day on Wed (will clearly be thinking of Henry on his birthday ) without the boys - we are off to his parents on Thurs for a long weekend so rather than losing out on a nursery day on Friday we have swapped to the Wed. So we're going to go and see Bond and have a nice lunch and just chill. Really looking forward to it. On call tomorrow night though so may or may not make it onto here then...

Chat soon anyway and hello to all those I haven't mentioned in person. And agree that I really love the supportive non-judgemental atmosphere on here compared with some boards... You are all fab!

Apricotle · 03/11/2008 23:27

Happy Birthday Jane!!! I had a peek at your photos Inzi - she is such a cutie

Huw's a 4E and very proud of his new shoes. He keeps bending down to touch them. They do slow him down a bit, but he copes.

I'm knacked as a knacked knacker (as my brother-in-law likes to say). Hard day teaching the students about divorce. They are all so unbelievably conservative, it still surprises me, the things they come out with.

Talking of teaching .... Has anyone heard anything of Crochet lately? I guess she's v busy at work.

Sure there was more, but can't remember what. LES sorry about the laptop. Dal sorry about the cold. Alice well done on e-bay - I just can't be bothered with it. WWJC - enjoy the warmth!

Take care all

A x

LisaLessLumpy · 04/11/2008 07:32

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JANE

Didn't manage to get on yesterday as I was so busy cleaning Sam's teacher from kindergarten babysat him or the first time last night, so I wanted to make sure the house was sparkling well, you know how people gossip

We went to Pizza Xpress then to see James Bond. Oh my, he is the stuff dreams are made of :swoon: Wait till you see it alice, if you like a man in a suit then there is no better in my opinion. I also thought the film was fab, I have heard conflicting opinions though. It is full on actiontastic but there are a handful of parts that made me chuckle although they are very subtle and there is a plot, no matter what some people have been saying.

LES - what a pita about the laptop, as you say its not the fact it has broken that is the problem, its the fact they didn't own up to it, accidents happen after all.

WWAJC - Glad you have got your heating sorted

Ben is in a 3 and a half G shoes wise atm, but he is due another fitting and I reckon he is more a 4 now.

alicet - I have been ebaying too, I do find it frustrating when really nice clothes are only selling for 99p though, I half think why I don't just charity shop them like I would have used to, it would save me having to pack things up and take to the Post Office, at 99p I am probably only making 10p profit once everything is taken into account.

I have listed nearly everything now though, if it doesn't sell its going to Cancer Research

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 04/11/2008 08:06

Just wanted to pop on before work - have found out from Alice (belatedly) what the deleted messages were about. Just awful. Lots of love and hugs to the person involved. .

Aw inzi, so sorry to hear about you knee. Hope they can get it sorted soon. What a total bummer after you've had such a nice holiday. I'm sure you'll be fighting fit in no time once you've had the op. Hang in there!

Anyone had a peek at my new pics? They're not that exciting to be honest but they're there anyway...

Feeling a little better this morning as Dylan slept the whole night, thank god! I've got a cough developing but I can deal with things better when i'm not tired. Dylan's still coughing and snotting but a little brighter in himself.

I should get dressed soon but am using the fact i'm ill as an excuse not to!

Hi to everyone, probably be back later x

Aww Inz, can only imagine how frustrating it is...Reminds me of when I the ligaments and tendons in my ankle when Karl was a yr old. Was quite funny in hindsight as my BIL came to help me out ....both of us were on crutches as he had just had surgery on his knee...talk about the blind leading the blind!!

Theladyevenstar · 04/11/2008 11:31

Dal,

On another note how much is everyone spending on LO's this xmas and what are you getting?

Dalrymps · 04/11/2008 13:14

Well, make sure you sort it soon, you need to look after yourself! The sonner you go the sooner you can start feeling better .

Don't know how much we're spending for xmas, just getting him a few big-ish toys as he got loads for his birthday and maybe some clothes and books

OP posts:
Theladyevenstar · 04/11/2008 13:21

Dal, I have had a chat with dp about xmas and I have told (not asked lol) him that we are only spending £50 on dss, ds1 and ds2..only prob is what do you get a 15yr old for £50, what do you get a 10yr old who has had everything he could want and what do i get the Zachmeister who i keep getting things off of freecycle lol including a hugeeeeee box of vtech toys?
