Dal; Glad Dylan had a lovely day
Tles; amazing pumpkins!
Alice; I've emailed you, nosey baggage that I am.
LLL; I too look forward to seeing the photos, Alex was born with a dense mop of black hair which fell out and came back fine fluffy and blonde and still isnt long enough to cut

We had a lovely little halloween party last night .. the eyeballs floating in toxic slime (lychees in lime jelly) went down a storm! Not too many trick or treaters visited so tragically I have a lot of chocolate to scoff (can't let it go to waste now can I)

Stefka · 01/11/2008 22:17

Hope you are enjoying that chocolate Floria!

I forgot to say that that school finally got in touch and the interview is Friday. Only downside (apart from being terrified!) is that it clashes with my appointment with my dietitian. Don't get to see her too often so a but hopefully she can reschedule for me quite soon.

Apricotle · 01/11/2008 22:56

Well hello there,

Can you believe it's November already? Does anyone else keep wanting to click on the October 08 thread when they come on here, or is that just me? Keep thinking, 'there we are', then OMG there are now newer October babies than ours, then feel vaguely sad at unremitting passage of time and fact our LOs are not that little anymore.

still utterly adorable though

I've just watched Dead Set - very downbeat ending. Enjoyable zombie nonsense. Couple of the episodes had me almost hiding behind the sofa - am rubbish like that.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a good night's sleep tonight. Haven't had one in ages now. Here's hoping!

Alice - I'm going to have to e-mail you too. Hope you get an offer on the house soon.

Stefka - great that you've got another interview. Don't be terrified. Remember that positive feedback from the last one.

LES - you are an amazing pumpkin carver!

Bought Huw his first proper shoes yesterday. He is chuffed to bits with them.

I've just seen this story - have a look - www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2008/nov/01/5

Big waves to everyone

Night night

A x

Stefka good luck for interview xxx

Apricot pmsl at that sign!!! ALso glad that I'm not the only one who is drawn to Oct 2008 antenatal thread - I posted on there a while back wishing them all luck!

Inzi glad you had a great holiday and hope the party today is fab

Not much news here. Can't believe Daniel is still in xfactor - very very nice guy and not a bad singer just not in the league of the others. And although austin wasn't great last night i think he's much more talented... Ho hum, probably I should get a life really!

see you later xxxxxxxxxxxxx

FloriaTosca · 02/11/2008 08:18

Goodness Gracious Inzi!!!! What a welcome home!!!! Glad you had a wonderful time. We missed you too.Poor Mac & Murphy and poor cats! I'm sure they will recover quickly now they are home. Hope the party goes well today and doesn't undo all the good the holiday did for you.

Apricot LOL at the road sign.I think we are all there with you on the "unremitting passage of time" sentiments I hope you got the decent nights sleep you were wishing for...personally I've given up on even hoping, we moved him into his own room a month ago in the hope that it was us disturbing his sleep, but no, it just means I have to drag myself down the hall way to him (every 2 hours last night!)..My Mum says it is just karma for doing the same to her.

just off to give his lordship breakfast... he's been charging around since 6.45, he must be hungry now......

Theladyevenstar · 02/11/2008 15:21

Hi All

Had a brilliant time last night at our halloween party and i have to admit i got a tad tipsy, ended up inviting the guy across the road in for drinks and dinner on monday OOPPSS lol. J20 is the most amazingly happy person I have ever met....I am going to steal her smile lol.

All in all it was a brilliant night except 1 couple who came and stayed over have smashed the screen on dp's laptop. It was working before we went to bed last night/this morning because he had it on. He put it back beside the chair where I sit and this morning before dropping this couple off he went to go on the laptop to do something as soon as he put his hands on it they both said "Oh we want to go now" anyways he carried on and thats when we found the screen has been smashed, it has had something dropped on it and there are cracks all over it, the lcd liquid is spreading across the screen.

I am so angry as I have known her for 30 yrs since we were in school together. WHy couldn#t they just say oh we have had an accident?

strawberrylace · 02/11/2008 21:28

hello everyone
DS is refusing to go to bed tonight - grr - which means i can't get on with the things i want to do, as he is marauding around in the living room trying to get at the laptop - so only a short message
Stefka - good luck with the interview
Inzi - glad the holiday and party were both good
TLES - how annoying about the laptop
Everyone whose LOs have hair long enough to cut - v jealous as can't ever see DS getting to that stage! his hair is v fine and blond and hardly looks like there's anything there...
Off to try again on the going to bed front - if DS won't sleep think i'll just leave him to it and go myself!

muppetgirl · 02/11/2008 22:11

HI all

I HAVE FINISHED MY ESSAY!!!!!!!

Woohoo!
Have just the ethics part of the assignment to do and then I'm done but I was really struggling with the essay so am glad it's done.

Les - am very you've met j20! But so at your friend for breaking your laptop and not saying.

Alice -have emailed x I'm hoping you get an offer soon

Inzi - so sorry to hear about mac and Murphy and the cats, am hoping they'll all be fine soon. Jane looks so happy in her birthday party pictures!

Stefka -am soooooo glad you've got an interview and I'm sure the dietician will understand.

Apricotle/Floria -wishing you a good nights sleeps asap!

We had the Hallow'een party last night and we had a great time. It was raining so we had 15 children running around our house trying to find the naughty ghosts and sweets I'd hidden. They loved wrapping their 'mummies' in toilet paper and I loved teaching them the timewarp. They loved the food and all the spooky decoration and the talking skull we have in our living room really is a feature we might keep

We went to my Goddaughter's 1st birthday party today (she's 3 days younger than Hen) which was lovely. I came back to work on my essay and now I actually have a little time to mnet!

Will be back tomorrow for normal service!

xxxx

Theladyevenstar · 02/11/2008 22:16

Muppet she is LOVELY, if you have a chance take a look at pics on facebook there are some chucklesome ones.

RE: laptop I am more angry than dp the more i think about it the angrier i am getting!!

J2O · 02/11/2008 22:32

hi all, just a quickie as it took us 6 hours to get home instead of 4 and we had to share the driving because we where both f00ked, and we have only just got in.

Had a lovely weekend, but was up at 4.30 on Sat morning with Shannon and that kind of set us up for being shattered for the whole of the weekend. as LES, we somehow managed to get to her house-which is gorgeous! I got to meet her ds1 and Zach which was great, so grown up compared to Shannon and such a mummys boy (i was happy due to being child free and the wine she plied me with, no matter how many times i said no more! ) LES is fab, i felt really comfortable straight away which was great (people thinking Rich was older than me was brill too ) and wish we'd stayed longer as Richies mate and his gf didn't turn up till 9.15 to the hotel and then didn't get ready for the halloween party till 11pm so we where sat around waiting for them for hours also couldn't believe how expensive London is-£14 for a 3 miles taxi ride! We left the part at 2am (but apparantly it went on till 5am) because i was falling asleep.

My mum had Shannon and she's been trying to get her to walk all day but she refused, then when we went to pick her up, she walked about a metre to us when we got through the door

inzi-glad to have you back, sorry to hear about the dogs where did you leave them?

Alice-ooooh hope you get an offer soon.

LES-gutted about laptop, are you insured? not suprised you're pi%%ed off!

muppet-woohoo about essay.

LLL-awww bless him, did you keep some curls?

really don't have anymore energy to write, so will get back on properly tommorrow.

love to all

alicet · 02/11/2008 22:49

Just a quickie lovely ladies - and sorry no time to respond individually...

Just wanted to say that I hadn't realised you would all think something was wrong with me after all the cryptic messages. I am thankfully absolutely fine. Those of you who have mailed will know that now and also know that things are not so great for someone else...

Anyway if there are any of you who still don't know what is going on feel free to get in touch.

FloriaTosca · 03/11/2008 11:22

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

J20;Glad you had such a good weekend and that you and Tles enjoyed eachothers company so much
Muppet;well done on getting that essay finished. Your halloween party sounds great fun.

sorry if I missed anyone..got to get off to soft play...

J2O · 03/11/2008 12:15

happy birthday Jane!! xx

Stefka · 03/11/2008 13:40

Happy birthday Jane!!

muppetgirl · 03/11/2008 13:54

Happy birthday Jane!!!!!

Only 2 more to be 1 and then it's rolling down to 2!!!

(EEEK!)

Spent the morning cleaning as although we tidied on sat we didn't have time to clean so it's feeling a lot better now.

Just had a boy knock on our door to ask if he could have the a pumpkin that's on our doorstop so I said yes, that if he wanted them all then he could take them (there are 4) he then came back with his 2 mates who took one and then smashed it into my neighbours front garden and that's after they'd taken the tealights out and flung them around the path.

Cue me being angry fishwife

I screeched out of the window that they needed to come and clear up. The 2 other boys buggered off but the one that first rang my doorbell was left cleaning it all up by himself. I did say thank you and that I knew it wasn't him. Then my neighbour came out and had words with him so I don't think he'll bother asking next time. Either that or I'll get a letter bomb through my door later

Love to all

muppetgirl · 03/11/2008 14:56

just wondering -what size shoes are lo's in?

We had to buy Hen a pair of shoes yesterday even though he's not walking/crawling or moving as the 'baby' shoes don't fit him and he keeps pulling his socks off. We now have a pair of crawler shoes (in anticipation!) and he was measured 4g which I though was a bit big!

J2O · 03/11/2008 15:06

muppet, Shannon was 3.5 in one foot and nearly 4 in the other just before her birthday, think she was G too, so saabout average i'd say

muppetgirl · 03/11/2008 15:14

oh that's fine then, Ollie was a 3 at 13/14 months when we bought his 1st shoes. Hen's in 18-24 months clothes and some are aged 2. Ollie was never in the right age clothes as he was always smaller than his age so Henry seems to be using a lot of Ollie's clothes it feels like I've only just put away!

Theladyevenstar · 03/11/2008 15:56

coooeeeeeeee peeps I have some shoes for sale size 4 and 5 as Zachary is a 5 1/2. I have a pair of roary racing car flashing lights trainers, a pair of gap leather very very sturdy shoes and some others. will take pics for you all if you are interested. I also have shed loads of clothes size 12-18 if nayone is interested and some nappies, errrrr and some coats, and well you get the picture lol.

strawberrylace · 03/11/2008 16:15

happy birthday to Jane!!!

hope you've had a lovely day....

Dalrymps · 03/11/2008 17:10

Happy 1st Birthday Jane !

Hope you've had a wonderful day!

I'm chokka with Dylans cough/cold. . He was up at 2.15am last night coughing up phlem and wouldn't go back in his cot after that so he spent the rest of the night in our bed which meant I couldn't really sleep for worrying about him. I also couldn't sleep as I couldn't breathe through my nose, had a temperature and kept feeling sick . Anyway enough about me, Dylan is still coughing like an old man and sneezing lots the poor little soul.

I still don't know which one of you sent the secret santa birthday present for Dylan, own up!!!

I think Dylan's about a size 3 but we haven't had him measured. He's always smaller than average though, he's just about in 6-9 month clothes.

Inzi - Janes cake was wonderful, really pretty. She had the same candle as Dylan except his was blue

Well, I was hoping I was pregnant this month, in fact I was 90% convinced as my boobs were so sore the day before my AF was due that I had to take my bra off. I did a test that night and it was negative, then my AF came next morning. Only thing is my AF was a bit strange, no cramps and (sorry if TMI) the blood was very thin and bright red like if you'd cut your finger or something... Usually it's a bit thicker and darker and I get at least one day of cramps. It's kind of almost stopped after 2 days also when it usually goes on for 5.

Alice - I read the messages before they got deleted so I kind of know whats going on. I agree with Floria, it's very sad we can't discuss it on here. I'm sure you've been in touch with the person in question, please tell them i'm thinking of them.

Muppet - well done on finishing the essay, you must feel chuffed you got it done.

Well, i'm off to make a cuppa and then I might upload some birthday pics. Sorry if i've missed anyone out, i'm a bit fuzzy brained. Am thinking of you all x
