No - no need for him to admire my body (its a big ask !)... I could just listen to his Texan drawl and we could admire his body together

Can't like Damian Lewis since he played Soames in The Forsyte Saga... Nasty Man (I do realise its not real honestly...sometimes)

ShowOfHands · 02/09/2008 16:37

Oh but I sort of like the idea of him being nasty. Is that wrong of me?

I bet you're into spanking and all sorts of other weird S&M stuff as well DH's truncheon must get lots of extra curricular use

It's an extendable baton these days. And I haven't even seen it. Or his handcuffs. He leaves all uniform and related paraphernalia at work so he can cycle in. Wearing lycra.

I'm very excited about Christmas.

Oooh - get you - an extendable baton

You're not allowed to mention the C word until at least November It's the law (albeit I have just been singing Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer to Til for some odd reason)

hello everyone, I seem to have turned into one of those infrequent posters but life is pretty manic actually - in a good way

Hows everyone doing? from what I have read I cant find any major traumas occuring,

TYG & SKY how are the babbas? I did notice TYG was being a milk machile - werent you like that with A is my memory serves me correctly?

X factor is truly fab, you can keep all the other nonsense, havent yet decided if I like Cheryl Cole atm but WTF does Danny look like, she used to be quite pretty.

DD's bday next week, she will be 6 and I am stuck as to what to get her, I have booked a couple of days off work (I am still the only one working, and am doing quite alot more) to go camping, but as for pressies I havent a clue - any ideas very welcome - NO DOLLS!!

A is amazingly cute, his walking is improving but he doesnt say anything that makes much sense but we have a new oooooohhhhh sound

Better go, more whining and I need to get some of my 4hrs ironing away - oh the fun of a day off work lol

Kids went back today..... there was a note on the school entrance advising us of new school hours. we (mummys) get a whole 15 minutes more in the afternoon now!! 4.30pm finish. YAY Both H&M got on fine, they were a little nervous as the school has had a summer makeover and a complete change in teaching staff. It was like day one all over again for them. Harrison was very interested with our chat at breakfast this morning, telling him that his teacher would be more nervous than him, as she had alot of children to make a good impression with. He repplied with, then I'll have to be nice to her today. She hasn't seen the real H yet!

How about a DOLL Lups..... All
little girls LOVE dolls.
How many does she have?

AM send the helicopter for me on Sunday, there's a lovely!

PJ, you wrote the BB post for me! That is exactly how I feel with it this year. Roll on SCD, Love it! I like the X-factor too, but prefer the boot camps and live shows than this bit. Alex loves Ugly Betty, does that make him a little gay in touch with his feminine side?

Back to school here too, though sadly not such long days as the froggies. But very complicated, PE kit here, swimming kit there, different schools, tennis rackets. I beg of you. I'm exhausted already by the thought of having to cart them all around. And now J has 3 playgroups a week too...

He has his first proper proper pair of sandals, a pair of bleedin expensive Start Rite sandals. A size 6. Actually they are a little narrow for his enormous chubster feet and I know he shouldn't have them if they don't fit but what is the option? A shoddily made local pair that fall apart after 2 months and don't support his ankle properly?

Bah.

Glad to see I have some mountain sign ups already. It's a small one, about oh, feet.

Lups, I hate to say it, but dd got a doll for her 6th. Not just any old doll an eating, weeing, sleeping one, and a boy to boot, to match her (then) new baby brother. MrsJB, he is called Alex

How about dress up stuff? A bike? A scooter? A musical dance mat thingy? Any kind of small plastic thing coloured pink that you can never see on the carpet and hurts like hell when you stand on it, should do the job

Report
Lupins71 · 02/09/2008 23:27

Its not me that has the problem with dolls its her, she hates them, and anything remotly resembling Bratz, she has got a whole rail of dress up, got a bike, I did mention a scooter but she no no'd that - also thats probably a good thing as we have zero pavements and the cars go quite fast - oh for the quiet countryside its a myth! Oh and she is in mno way into dancing - I am trying my best to see if she will join local arts and dance class on a sat morning

She has expressed some interest in magnetix, bindeez and a mandelas designer

A size 6 lol dd has just got out of her size 8.5's lol and Arlen is in a size 3 - however mum and I are only size 4

I have just finished a major clear up and a change around in the living room, must go to bed as I have a nursery to visit tomorrow, work at lunchtime and swimming after work, then all the usual stuff like walking the dog, attempting to battle with the laundry that is impossible to dry. I have decided to have a ME day once a week, as I am working and running the house it seems only fair that I send them off to the local kids club one day a week - as much for thier own social life you must understand

Well done all those that started school, or returned to school this week, still life as normal here and am still happy with my decision to HE - altho I do wish the caterpillars didnt crap so much

TMAM, do you want me to get any shoes for J in our local start-rite cheapie outlet place? I'll send them over for him. DD wears a 6H which is the widest they do but still a bit of a squeeze. She also has high arches which makes it all so much harder. Have never found any others brands that fit, it's infuriating. Let me know and I'll send some over post-haste.

At W's age Lups I liked books, creative stuff and Technics lego.

AM, will check FB now!

SOH - I am not accepting your excuses reasons for not coming to the meet. I promise to tone down my accent and leave my shell suit and curly wig at home.

CAQL and TSM - how awful was Kat last night? I wanted to put my fist through the TV. And what is with Davina's hair!!

L had a lovely day yesterday in her new class at nursery. I took presents in for the carers in the baby room, and they were all in floods of tears.

And I spoke to AM last night! I can't wait for Friday!!

L has been wearing her Clarks pink trainers (with flashing lights on them, I beg of you) for six weeks, and they are filthy. I apologise to AM for bringing such horrific footwear into her home, but she's not quite ready for another pair yet. And she's a 3F. Gorgeous little tootsies.

Wow thats a tough one Lups, i would be stumped! I tend to buy books or board games for kids now unless i know that they are into something specific.

PJ, was great to speak to you last night 2 more sleeps! Dont worry about the highchair, i will nab the one that my dad has.

Why can't she tell us herself?
Go on tell us - it is a pink one isn't it? For Phin of course.

I skyped with my dad last night and the webcam worked so if I am not feeling too shy I may contact you all from afar on Sunday. Do you have skype April? It's easy to download...

Thanks for the offer of shoes SOH, I would be truly and utterly grateful if you could get J some. He has some lovely Geox trainers that are wide and large but it is the sandals that are a problem, if you could find him a pair of Start Rite sandals in a 6H like the Tank, then I would be so very happy. If you take them out of the bag and stick them in a jiffy bag they should reach here ok.

Gosh Lups, even for me that's a tough one. Personally I suggest any of the Playmobil stuff, lego too, magnetix always come highly recommended. Dd loves playing Uno and rummy. A guitar/recorder and lessons??

Send me your address TMAM and I'll go tomorrow and get some sandals. They don't have enormous amounts of choice in that size I warn you so I'll just get the pink flowery ones!

Uno's fabulous!

LG&T had her scan on Monday. TonicBabyTheSeventh is definitely of the pink variety. Lord only knows why she isn't telling you herself. I think tending to Sailor Joe's needs and moving furniture round is taking a lot of her time. I would also venture that a new school term for 27 children is a bit fraught. I miss her .

But woo hoo for PINK!!

Hurrah hurrah hurrah!

Yes I should think between doing the jigjig with dh and sewing name tags on, there's not much time left for us

I will FB you SOH . Not fussy what colour he gets, as long as it is a sandal. Hmmm on second thoughts his daddy might not like it.

at jigjig. I called round to somebody's house t'other day and their 9yr old answered. I asked where his parents were and he said 'they're upstairs, hopping on the good leg, doing the bad thing'. I looked a bit like
