Ha! But I know that isnt true SOH..You used to go out with my neighbour at home and by all accounts he was saucy (Was that you?!)

Even a bio suit wouldnt cover my unstraightened hair SOH..You would have to see it to believe it.Y'know Monicas when they go to watch Ross in that Conference in Bermuda or wherever..'Inexplicable'.Thats mine.Times 10.

Thank God ive got my own office. If I worked open plan I would make everyone sick to look at me.Snot everywhere..

I am taking L to visit a pre school tomorrow.I feel and I dont know why.She has been going to CM since she was 9 months old.Think its because she is likely to hate it.But it will do her good I think in the long run.She is so grown up now..I cant believe she was my baby once.Even M is not a baby anymore. She has started to say a few more words now and because she is a giant she is nearly the same size as L!5 People have asked me in the last month or so if they are twins!Including our neighbour. He assumed they were but that there was something wrong with M that left her unable to walk Theres 17 months between them!

Scoot - I love that episode. That's how my hair looks today.

ShowOfHands · 04/09/2008 15:20

You do know what she did with her big hair? Is that the next step? Do you know the lyrics to 'No Woman, No Cry'? I have had only one man in my life. My brief romance with the boy Scott Glover was when I was a child. We pushed each other on the swings and held hands a little bit while steadfastly Not Looking At Each Other. He spoke with a funny accent I remember.

Mathilda's not a baby at all. She runs and climbs and says about 50 or 60 words, some 2 word combinations. She no longer naps in the day and walks everywhere. Makes me quite weepy at times to think she's growing up.

Isn't it funny how you used to 'go out' with boys in school, yet never spoke to them. Very strange behaviour.

M is so advanced SOH - you're a fab mum, I applaud you. Post some new pics of her.

It is so sad isn't it when you realise your babies are not babies any more. C seemed to take ages to grow but now at 3.5 he really is a big boy and so grown up. I think because we know we won't have any more, R seems to have grown up at such a pace. I can't believe how much she says and understands. She too is starting to say two words together and she climbs like a monkey. She doesn't want to be a baby anymore either which is very sad.

BTW PJ, I too missed the DG episode. How could you? I would have found Wellard more appealing??!!?

TheGreatScootini · 04/09/2008 15:57

How rude!!He grew up 5 doors from me, thus his accent is as mine and there's nowt up wi' it.

Report
ShowOfHands · 04/09/2008 16:02

I didn't have a problem with his accent per se, just couldn't understand a word he said. And he rabbited on about The Owls rather a lot. Which I presume is a sports team.

I am resolutely not a fab mum and she is not advanced. You try and get her to use a shape sorter. She takes the lid off, posts all the shapes through the big hole, posts the sorter in the bath and turns on the tap. It's wilful vandalism at best. She does sing 'ee i ee i oh woof woof ee i ee i oink ee i ee i bah bah' very well indeed. At volume. Whilst standing on the dining table shaking a maraca and stamping her feet. Pure comedy.

Im brading my hair as I type

Blimey.2 word combinations?M is a bit backwards then She still prefers to crawl..but then L talks for her I guess and brings her everything she wants, (and lots she doesnt)so cant blame her really.

DH hasnt phoned at all today. His dear wife is half dead and struggling to manage two kids and two Extra Care Services whilst he gallavants around some 5 star hotel and he cant even be arsed to phone to see how we are Out of sight, out of mind. >>shuffles off feeling sorry for herself in manner of abandoned wife

Don't even mention the abandoned wife routine Scooterama. Mine is up Africa's biggest mountain the week the dc go back to school, dd to a brand new farking expensive one, and I have to suffer the humiliation of going to a fancy do tomorrow night on my own and then he comes back for 24 hours, we have to throw a cocktail party on our lawn for all his visitors, then he buggers off to the Maasai Mara for 5 days of conference in one of the world's most luxurious lodges and I get to stay here and go to parent's night where they teach us idiot parents how to help our children read and spell properly. BAH!

Actually to be fair he is gutted he can't do the school thing.

Pink, its too late for you as you have probably gone home now, but Grey's Anatomy is the best thing to come out of America. Ever. Well almost ever.

R has just realised how much fun it is to squash blueberries into the tray on her high chair. Not just a little squash but a full-on, fist clenched whallop!! She is laughing like a hyena!

Not as much fun as the blueberry nappies Abby...

Report
Themasterandmargaritas · 04/09/2008 17:55

Talking of nappies we had the exploding nappy from hell yesterday, in the new school playground, with everyone watching. In fact someone else noticed it was halfway up his back before I did and I noncholantly waved it off with a 'mother of three I'm so cool' kind of a look. Only it wasn't so cool trying to get him back into the car seat with 3 giggling kids and poo splattered everywhere. Give me blueberries anyday.

Sounds like a nightmare nappy!

C is teething again, sore bum and yukky nappies!

Just about caught up on the thread - took for ever. You have been very chatty.

Congrats LG&T on the pink one.

Hope you have a fun meet up at the weekend - didn't like to ask DP to drive us down!

Should be driving myself by next week as going to GP tomorrow to see if I can (insurance purposes apparently).

L still being good, C still being a 16 month old handful! DDs back at school - yay - DD2 now has a sore throat again - boo! Her plaster should come off next Friday hopefully. She is missing swimming lessons which I am paying for, and school swimming starts next Thursday too.

Hello to everyone, sorry not posting much - lots going on at mo!

Oh Scoot, that sounds like heaven. I can't remember the last time I had a relaxing early night - and I'm not even at work. I've just finished doing another stint of Maths planning, oh joy. I'm going into work tomorrow to try and get my classroom ready for next week. We are officially back on Monday and the children come back on Tuesday. I've got a bit of a rabble this year and I'm really going to miss my last class, they were lovely.

Hello all, had a very busy day today what with the man coming to fit a phone point then the alarm engineer coming to fix it and put it back online. Then had my sis come over followed by a friend and her son and then my old boss and her daughter. It was like 1 in 1 out. Then had to get self ready and go to my first cookery lesson

We made a tartlet thingy with red&yellow peppers, courgette and cream and egg for starter, crab and saffron risotto (yuk yuk yuk) and panacota (sp) with mixed berries. Only thing i will eat is the pudding. The cat even turned up her nose at the risotto. Good fun and next week we are making white choc cheesecake - i forget the other things he said.

Will be running round like a loon tomorrow ready for my special guests Need to set the travel cot up, go food shopping and clean/tidy AND I CANT WAIT 1MORE SLEEP

Just a quick post before i drag myself off to bed

After popping on this morning I had a suprise visitor, well visitors really. Ethans new teachers came for a home visit only no one thought to let me know in advance. He had only just finished breakfast (he'd had a lie in)and was running around in his pants messing about with Alana, refusing to get dressed. There were toys everywhere and I had been in the middle of sorting out all our old clothes so there were piles of them in the hall ready to go to various places ie bin, charity or ebay. I did for a second think of pretending we werent in but then I realised they had probably heard Alana screeching with laughter half a mile down the road (that girl can break glass with her high pitched squeals lol) so I just had to quickly shove the clothes into the kitchen and shut the door and invite them into the mad house. Ethan played with the teaching assistant while I spoke to his teacher and signed a mountain of forms. Alana thought it would be funny to smack Ethan round the head with a book when he wasnt looking and then decided to join in with the colouring that Ethan was doing only she wanted to colour in the same page as him which started WW3 off (she was very tired and can get a bit naughty when that happens) Finally the teachers gave E his present for starting school, a bookstart treasure chest with books, pencils etc in, and left me to rush around before meeting MIL for lunch in half hour.

Why do people always turn up when the house is a mess, all the time its nice and tidy no one bothers

Morning ladies.

The bad news is that L's nose matches Scoot's, i.e. majoy snotfest.

Last night was a farking disaster. Mark didn't get home til late (surprise, surprise - Cilla, anyone?) so I bathed L, and she decided to poo in the bath after being in at least 17 seconds. Poor Macca Pacca, he wasn't sure what to make of it. She then proceeded to develop the worst cold known to man, and finally went to slepep just after midnight, after lots of pleading from mummy. Mark is goddamn useless, kept closing his eyes and pretending to be asleep, then trying to play with her in the dark (WTF?) and saying 'what's up with her?' to me. It does my head in. He is just no help at all. So tonight, if the same thing happens, I'm going to wake AM up and she can deal with her. She's also got a weird spot on her face (don't worry, its not CP or anything), looks a bit like a bite or something. Surely it's not acne already?

TMAM - Will invest in Gray's or Grey's, whichever it is. I hope my poo incident goes some way to easing your pain with your poo incident. L only has a few words too, but she jabbers away very insistently, little index finger always pointing at me. She's very accusing, for someone so young.

Sky - kisses to L.

AM - So excited - I do hope L doesn't give E and J the lurgy. I can't believe this cold has been so badly timed, she's been healthy for at least three weeks! Please let me know if you'd rather we didn't come. I'll understand.

Abby - no more talk of DG and Wellard. Although the night I was out with him, people were shouting, 'Where's Wellard?' to him in the street. My BF and I were highly amused by it all.

I think it's definitely an indication of my league, don't you, that the soap stars I have attracted are so notoriously good looking.
