Oh that sounds like such a fabulous plan.

I am trying to be Susy Homemaker this week. I made a lasagne and Mark ate it for tea three nights on the run. [gross emotion] He thinks I am trying to economise. What he doesn't realise is that I am buying DVDs from Amazon on his debit card.

[evil cackle]

MmeJaffaB · 19/09/2008 10:53

PMSL pj!

Got to keep these men on their toes. Although, I have just spotted on MY account an iTunes payment. Wasn't me! A better start running when he comes home for Lunch, he may get a soggy tuna roll and a slap.

MmeJaffaB · 19/09/2008 10:58

PJ, have you done SW before? It is amazing when you are commited. Thats how I did my 5 stone a few years ago. If you really want to do it, it really works! Definately have to be organised for it though, thats my down fall atm.

AM I'd be a good nanny too, I could come and help get drunk with scoot.

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 10:59

Hi MmeJaffaB - I have done it LOADS of times. Lost weight LOADS of times. But somehow, this time, I can't seem to find any self control.

MmeJaffaB · 19/09/2008 11:09

I know exactly where you are coming from. I have to be in the "right" frame of mind for it. I am very lazy. We could help each other.

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 11:10

Could you arrange to come to my house and wire my jaw shut? Can you believe I ate all 4 KKs myself? They are the work of the devil.

MmeJaffaB · 19/09/2008 11:12

They are. lg&t do you reckon you get the blame for that one too?

What is your craving this time lg&t is there one? Has your back been any better of late, is it a pg related thing?

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2008 11:34

No cravings really, am only just back on to enjoying food. Quite like tarasmalata and prawn cocktail.

Did you lot know Jenny was talking about me this morning

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 11:36

Yes, I was calling her all kinds.

No, I'm not ill. Just want a cake.

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2008 11:45

Ok what kind? Wont be for a week or so i'm afraid. Can you wait?

I can do calorie free one's >

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2008 11:46

Blardy hell i want prawn cocktail now.

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 11:46

I don't discriminate against any cakes. But I don't like raisins.

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2008 11:47

Raisins in a cake, noooooooooooooooo. I hate raisins. I would never do that to you.

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 11:48

I'm allergic to prawns. Don't put them in my cake.

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/09/2008 11:56

But prawns are pink.

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 11:58

And just a bit too fishy for my liking. I had a terrible incident with them once. Which I'll bore you with.

When dh and I started dating, we worked in the same office and it was a big secret. We went to Darlington one weekend to shag do an assessment centre, and went to dinner at the local Area HR Manager's house. Where she served prawns as the starter. I ate them out of sheer obligation. Cue an hour later - me and dh standing on the hard shoulder of the M1, with me throwing up, him holding my hair back, and sick blowing against the back of the car in the wind.

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2008 12:01

Nice Pink, very nice.

They are Pink, i can bear that though. I even like the pink sauce that goes with them.

Today my fave name is Dorothea. I like Beatrice too but Beau and Bea is too much isn't it?

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 12:02

I still can't rid myself of the Golden Girls connection. For either name. But I like Dorothea - it reminds me of Jon Bon Jovi's wife.

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/09/2008 12:03

TMI Pink, tmi.

Beau and Bea Imagine what trouble they would get up to?

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 12:06

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we were at the vomit-story sharing stage of our relationship. My mistake.

MmeJaffaB · 19/09/2008 13:23

I like Dorothea.

How about Ophélie?
I can give you some French names....

I like prawns too...... not as a name though.

ShowOfHands · 19/09/2008 14:01

Prawns are pesky, evil, fetid little oiks. I can't look at them, gawd only knows how you eat one.

What about Ottilie LG&T? It's fabulous and means 'little wealthy one'. But Dorothea is beautiful too. Obviously I like Beatrice, having a small person with that as a middle name. I'm in Hastings till the 10th of October so was going to drive across afterwards to drop the birth pool off but you have your parents so I shan't impose. Do you still want it? I can courier it to you.

I'm ridiculously excited about the idea of a sleepover with Scoot but I fear I won't be invited. Am still bfing so would have to bring Tank with me and she doesn't like vodka I'm afraid.

I do pity you all with the clingy babies. M's not clingy really but she does prefer me atm much to dh's chagrin having been the favourite for ages.

We are all snot-ridden in Norfolk and it's going to be a tough weekend. Familial issues involving learning difficulties, deafness, Romania, some potatoes and the ocean. What larks...

AprilMeadow · 19/09/2008 14:27

So i have made my white choc cheesecake Just tidying the house before friends arrive. Still need to pack - not getting too far today!

Dorothea is very pretty

Jennyusedtobepink · 19/09/2008 15:15

Was it complicated AM? I love cheesecake, but the only one I've ever attempted was a Slimming World one which wouldn't set.

charleymouse · 19/09/2008 15:49

How do we go from pregnancy to porn to tray bakes to prawns to puke all in such a short space of time?

I will not sulk that none of you miserable beggers nobody was able to join me in sampling the delights of Elveden Forest. Just as well as DH was a miserable begger. We have been loads and always have a good time but we think the villa might have been a pet one and smelt a bit fusty (DH allergic to cats and dogs). We should have just swapped as soon as we got there but we did not have the energy, so DH sniffled all week. He also monaed as we were out of reach of the WIFI so sorry to have not kept in touch.

He claims he did nothing he wanted all the time we were there. So going in the spa 2x and lounging in bed 'til 1pm reading his book whilst DC and I got him a coffee from starbucks and croissants from the bakery is now not relaxing. The journey home was mare the A1 is offially crap! Me and the DCs had a great time and DD really loved it, especially the swimming. Confidence over ability rules there though but I am really proud of how confident she is in water.

Back at work today and looking forward to getting home tonight and catching up with holiday washing and unpacking properly Mumsnet.

Still feeling a little blue particularly as AF arrived last week (hormones may have contributed to me going off the rails last week) but on a positive note I am sending the parents of the twins a congratulations card. They have called the boy Ben.
