duh. Sorry Charlie. I meant to say. It's great you are feeling able to send them a card, I'm sure they will appriciate it and you can feel good about doing it.

I love centre parks too, as you know I had THE BEST time there this year. Didn't involve any miserable husbands or whingy kids, just lots of food, drink, friends and laughing. I'm glad you made it through the weekend.

Could be a good place for a mass meet, how about May babies 3rd birthday bash. We'll pick a weekend and decend en mass! Start saving NOW!! theres a good centre parks near me I hear.

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/09/2008 20:19

I heart French names. We know
Lola
Orianne
Oceanne
Estelle
Coco
Camille
Madeleine
Laetitia

DD has a Thea as in th-e-a in her class, lovely name.

I find the dog kennel works equally well if your wardrobes are too full.

JamInMyWellies · 19/09/2008 21:36

Gosh oi go visit my mother for the day and you lot dont shut up.

Charley so sorry absoloutley right to be feeling sad. Sorry you also had a bit of a bomb at CP.

Loving the french names I really really like Thea but DP not so sure I also really like Beatrice but DP is thwarting me on that one as well.

Jennyusedtobepink · 20/09/2008 09:29

Just posting to prove I don't turn into a pumpkin at the weekend!

L is outside with her daddy eating soil, no doubt. He is off to the football this afternoon, so I am on strike this morning. Ha! We've just done our food shopping on line and I am looking for an easy apple pie recipe as my mum has stolen been given lots of apples from her next door neighbour's tree. I'm not sure I'm ready for pastry yet though, I may make the ready rolled version in Nigella Express. Honestly, I'll put weight on AGAIN this week. Must get motivated. Maybe if someone takes a picture of my arse, it will spur me into action.

I am also nursing a big cut on my right boob where L bit me last night. Charming. I know they're big and everything, but I don't appreciate little teeth being sunk into them.

I am definitely up for any kind of meet up.

Scoot - I have prepared M and told him about the sleepover. He is away on Monday and Thursday this week, so the time was right for bargaining. And I was watching 90210 last night, and Dan Scott was in it! A very young, sexy Dan Scott. Although my heart is still with Luke, of course.

MKG · 20/09/2008 16:39

Hi all.

Charley, I'm sorry about everything. I hope things get more cheerful for you soon.

LG&T- I always like Simone. That was my name in high school French. Would use it with this baby, but it would get terribly mispronounced by my Spanish speaking in-laws.

Nothing new or exciting here. I've been out and about in the world this morning attempting to get things accomplished, but failing miserably. I'm exhausted and not looking forward to going to work any time soon. (Have to leave in an hour).

Jennyusedtobepink · 21/09/2008 10:23

Goodness me - it seems that you all do turn into pumpkins at the weekend.

Had a horrendous day yesterday, decided to take L to Waitrose for some strawberries, and she threw up everywhere in the car park. All over me, all over my clothes, in my hair. What fun. Arrived at my mum's where I promptly binned all of our clothes and showered and I swear I can still smell it. She wasn't sick again but definitely wasn't herself. I had to get my mum round last night to help me get her to sleep. Anyone have any advice? She's getting so upset, that it is impossible for me to calm her down and I ended up bringing her downstairs. Hopefully it was just a blip as she wasn't well.

Anyway, she's gone to the in laws today with M and I'm watching Hairspray. I heart John Travolta.

MmeJaffaB · 21/09/2008 15:47

I vote Goodness Me as this weeks phrase. On par with I beg of you!

PJ, sorry no advice on the sleeping, not that you haven't heard before. I trust you are giving her some calpol befroe bed if you feel she may be a bit under!

We have become a Mon - Fri club, not really that bad as we all seem so busy at the weekends, means there is not too much to catch up on when we return to our indolent selfs working week.

What a beautiful weekend we've had here, have spent the weekend bike riding, looking at ageing racing cars and drinking wine. Goodness Me what a life.

MKG how's the cold?

MKG · 21/09/2008 15:52

It's still raging MJB. Actually it still feels like it did in the beginning, more annyoning that anything else. I've been up since 5am baking and cleaning, and sorting through the boys clothes because both are going up a size and I wanted to sort through there things and change up the clothes. Now I'm off to work, and then to a birthday party, and all I want to do is go back to bed.

Themasterandmargaritas · 21/09/2008 16:42

Goodness me MKG, that doesn't sound like fun, neither your day yesterday Pink. There is a D&V bug going around here, dd has had a bad tummy for about 5 days now, though we seem (fingers crossed) to have avoided both the D and the V, others have not been so lucky.

A lovely weekend here too, lots of swimming and playing outside with bikes. Goodness me MrsJB being a foreigner expat is tough sometimes don't you find?

Someone tell me what those Go-go things are?

AbbyLou · 21/09/2008 18:59

Hi all. A lovely weekend here too! It's lovely to feel the sun on your skin for a change. We are NT members and spent a few hours at Calke Abbey today. The kids love it there - playground, loads of space to just run, woodland walks etc. Today they had a Derbyshire Day with stalls, acts etc from around Derbyshire. It was lovely to just wander around in the sunshine - we even had a picnic!

AprilMeadow · 21/09/2008 21:22

Hiya, just back from our weekend at brands hatch for the final of the Touring car season. The sun shone and it was good fun, although hard work.

We have a new memeber of the family.......... Pickle the 7 week old kitten. We should have had a boy kitten when we got back from holiday but dh's mum brought her round on Friday! Very cute but a shock arrival.

Will have a little catch up now x

Jennyusedtobepink · 22/09/2008 07:52

Goodness me. Don't take the farking piss.

largeginandtonic · 22/09/2008 08:23

Goodness me you lot make fetching pumkins

My fingers feel fat today

We were quite sociable this weekend we went to a BBQ at a friends with ALL the children! They were very good and just as the rest of the crowd started getting drunk at 6 we left. Someone managed to break the hosts sunglasses (Oakleys) but i have no idea who, we questioned the children. I don't think it was them, the ones that would do it (B and H) were not seen with them and B would have worn them laughing for a while before destroying and H would have lied and blamed the others but he didnt.

Just as we were leaving i noticed a spider on the open window, it crawled in and tried to climb on me. Now what do you think i did? You guessed it, leapt out of the moving car. Tis automatic so kept going and did not stall DH put his foot on the break and i quickly put the handbrake on!!!! Hehe. Close does not come close

To top it all poor ds#3 started vomiting at 830, he stopped at 1130. Must have been food poisoning, it was 6 hours from BBQ food time Luckily it was only him. I thought please no one else and not me!

DH felt better about the sunglasses after that!

Am off to do school run now, will mail cake stuff to you Jam when i return.

Jenny bleurgh on the sick! I share your pain. Get a small cupboeard to put her in

Loving the names, poitless having pretty accented names here though i suppose. I dont think anyone would pronounce them properly and it would drive me crackers.

We need to move to France!!!!

MmeJaffaB · 22/09/2008 09:38

PJ, was not taking the piss, honest! Stand up lady take a bow, tis a classic phrase!!

If mn can have quote of the week then I reckon we can have "phrase" for the week.

Now, goodness me where was I? Oh yes, have freinds for lunch today, cooking that was it.

AM, cute on the kitten front, we got a new cat too this week, but she is rescued and older not a kitten. She has been called Marbles. Marmite & Pebbles were the two we lost so Marbles seemed appropriate.

lg&t on the food poisoning, I hope the hosts had it too. I giggled at the sun glasses.
I know of a bigish house that needs to be sold in France if you are interested lg&tµ? definately has enough bedrooms for you.

Catch ya's laters. x

largeginandtonic · 22/09/2008 09:43

at house for sale in France.

Kittens bleurgh, am allergic. No staying at your house AM! They always try and sit on me too.

MrsJB goodness me what are you up to today?

AprilMeadow · 22/09/2008 10:12

Our other cat Rascal is not impressed with the new arrival at all! We have decided to keep them shut in the kitchen when we are out and also at night as i cant be done with 2 cats on my bed at night.

Poor jonah, i hope that he is feeling better this morning.

Yuk,yuk, yuk, poor you Pink! That sounds truely awful on the vom front!

Manic week here this week, what with college tonight and going away on Thursday. I havent even thought of packing and am running out of time to do it.

Had some friends over on Friday night and re-created food that i had made on my course, all went down well and they didnt leave until 1am! 1 friend and her dd stayed over as she is a single mum and couldnt get a baby sitter, worked quite well as she came with us to Brands Hatch and we spent the weekend herding up the kids!

Ella is so chatty at the moment and is coming out ith lots more words, this morning was 'sorry' after she dropped her bottle on me

MmeJaffaB · 22/09/2008 10:27

for lunch we have:

Potato skins with creamy sweetcorn filling.

Breaded Mushrooms with a Free dressing.

Mixed beetroot Salad

All made from scratch and slimming world recipies of course!!

Waiting very impatiently for the potato's to cool to skin and stuff.

AM beanz and marbles seem to have hit it off. Yours will get on eventually. The kitten will be far too energectic for Rascal ATM.

for lg&t!

Themasterandmargaritas · 22/09/2008 12:13

Goodness me mrsJB, do you normally have to pay for salad dressing in your house?

Pah, kittens, a piece of cake compared to the dog from hell. Jam, sympathies, sympathies on the Louis front. I'm afraid Mindy doesn't seem to be calming down at all, she is a right royal PITA. The lady I got her from has since given her mother away because she was too much to handle I beg of you. (see i can do them both)

Sorry about the food poisoning, yeuk.

SOH, I dreamt that you and the Tank were here with me for a visit Curiously there were no dhs, just us and all the dc. We had some deep conversation round about 5am and then I woke up.
