It's so hard for people to think of the right things to say, although I am a little at some of them.

We are here if you need us xxx

ShowOfHands · 11/09/2008 14:34

Was going to say the same as PJ. It's so hard to know what to say. Sometimes it's better to say nothing though. They are the ones that should think themselves lucky.

Have confirmed, number 5 on the list as David Tennant. Will be laminating shortly.

Creena · 11/09/2008 14:44

Sorry to hear that today is so tough for you, CM. As others have said, please don't beat yourself up or blame yourself for how you're feeling - your reaction is entirely understandable given what you've been through. I think your colleagues are probably struggling for something to say to 'make it all better' but of course nothing ever will. I think it's a good idea to get yourself off home early for a nice snuggle.

MKG · 11/09/2008 14:44

Charley--I'm sorry you're feeling so down now. I'm sure that you will always have these situations, I just hope that it gets easier as time passes. Pay no mind to the people at work as they don't know how to help you, and are doing it rather clumsily.

charleymouse · 11/09/2008 14:45

Thank-you ladies am deep breathing as we speak and realigning my chakra.

Ok my laminate is
Dustin Hoffman
Sean Connery
Dave Gahan
Nick Cage
Martin Gore

Oh my god I am so old aren't I?

charleymouse · 11/09/2008 14:47

Cheers Creena and MKG am getting on with things at the mo. To think this morning on the way to work I was feeling quite proud of myself and how well I have been coping.

ShowOfHands · 11/09/2008 14:48

Nicholas Cage is heinous. Seriously unattractive. Otherwise, fine. Dustin Hoffman is attractive, astute, funny. Too old for me naturally () but I can see the attraction.

MKG · 11/09/2008 15:07

Dustin Hoffman is waaaay tooo short.

Keifer Sutherland (ahhh)

MKG · 11/09/2008 15:08

Nick Cage is quirky though. I think that is his appeal.

JamInMyWellies · 11/09/2008 15:12

Charley poor you absoloutley understandable to be feeling all of those emotions. Much love and strength.

charleymouse · 11/09/2008 15:12

MKG height won't matter when we are lying down

charleymouse · 11/09/2008 15:13

Cheers Jam am picking myself up and getting on with it again. Painted smile and all that.

JamInMyWellies · 11/09/2008 15:19

Now I really must show my disgust at some of these men.

Nicholas cage, revolting.

Martin Gore vvvvv short got offered a job with his family.

Sean Connery lovely but also met in RL he is incredibly old looking and really rather boring.

PJ Jason - lush, Although my fave is Howard.

David tennent of course yum yum

Must just point out am not some secret celeb stalker I used to work for someone in the biz so got to meet lots of slebs well actually got an occasional nod of the head and smile most of them just totally ignored me.

MKG · 11/09/2008 15:20

It matters to me. I wouldn't want to sleep with anyone that I could throw across a room because they are so small.

That's right ladies I need a man that can toss me around.

charleymouse · 11/09/2008 15:55

NO you can't shatter my illusions

AprilMeadow · 11/09/2008 17:05

Bleugh, bleugh, bleugh Nick Cage - no no no

Charley you poor thing. It's perfectly normal for you to be thinking like that. Sending you big hugs xx

Ok, i have a pencil case that is now filled with hi-lighters, pencils with a rubber on the top, folding ruler and 3 pens

JamInMyWellies · 11/09/2008 17:14

AM I must have missed this while away what are you doing at college?

I have spent all afternoon making vats of shepherds pie think my nesting is begining to kick in must make loads of meals for the freezer as I have no idea how you find the time to cook with more than one child. LG&T how do you do it?

elkiedee · 11/09/2008 17:26

Charley, how insensitive of your colleagues. Of course you're going to think of your son at times like this.

Themasterandmargaritas · 11/09/2008 19:03

Charley at their reaction. We are all with you and would have been blubbing together.

Now you lovely ladies, don't go distracting me tonight, I have far too much to do. I have baked a courgette cake and a gingerbread cake now I have to go and price up some second hand clothes before I have a zillion women around tomorrow for gossip coffee. God I really live up to the expat stereotype, gin before 11am and endless coffee mornings

Anyway I have not yet laminated and wanted to add Keanu Reeves and good old Johnny Depp. Who could resist? So my almost-laminating choice is

  1. James McAvoy
  2. James Nesbitt
  3. Keanu Reeves
  4. Johnny Depp
  5. Daniel Craig in swimmers only

God I'm dull.

TheGreatScootini · 11/09/2008 21:09

Dave Gahan is gay.And who is Martin Gore when he's at home?Related to Al Gore is he?

for you charley..natural to be upset.I guess people dont know what to say sometimes then say something ..we are all here as has been stated..but you knew that anyway

huffs slightlywaves to the newly returned ladies and hums 'we are family very off key

TheGreatScootini · 11/09/2008 21:11

Anyone heard from Lups?

ShowOfHands · 11/09/2008 21:14

Did you really say that to PJ? What kind of meet up was this? Dirty beggars.

I'll be coming to see Hamlet with you then. No chance you'll want to jump my bones I promise you.

When we having this pj party then?

AprilMeadow · 11/09/2008 21:58

Evening, I am just back from my 2nd cookery leson. Tonight was fresh made pasta (made with my own fair hands) in a tomato sauce with pancetta, a tuna carpaccio with rocket, fennel, pomegranate salad followed by white chic cheesecake. All very yummy

JAM, i am doing my CPP (Certificate in Personnel Practice). Thought i would be useful for dh's companies as no one does it yet!

TheGreatScootini · 11/09/2008 21:59

I did!I have a thing for scouse accents, (to the point where when I was making my uni choices I had to actually NOT got to Liverpool for fear of the kind of trouble I would get in )She wasnt interested though..dissapointing..

I will pin DH down to a date for pyjama party..but how can you be sure I wont try to have my wicked way with you?

Shall I book tickets? How exciting!Might shoot for Jan if thats ok? Dec is a whirl of parties (not cocktail ) and what not for me (obv in my dreams, but it is mine and DH's birthdays in the middle)

DH has just got in.5 to sodding 10.If I didnt know better I would think he were having an affair.Fortunately he is the world worst liar and I would know instantly. We were once in a pub and this girl walked in that he had once snogged at uni.I had never met her and I knew within 3 minutes, without asking that he had once had dealings with her, just from the look on his face..he found it very disconcerting..

AprilMeadow · 11/09/2008 21:59

that would be white choc not chic!
