TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:03

Is the list laminated?

Themasterandmargaritas · 10/09/2008 21:04

I couldn't let someone else feed my child, I get when someone else picks him up. How rubbish am I? At a push I could feed someone elses but only if it were a desperate situation.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:05

I get quite jealous of my cm sometimes TMAM..So I know what you mean..

Themasterandmargaritas · 10/09/2008 21:08

Yes c'mon who is on the list? Alan Davies naturally...

MrsJB, has anyone been to see the house yet?

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 21:09

Do you really get jealous? I have pangs of it sometimes. ILs have offered to look after dd so we can have a night out and while I think it's a brilliant idea that I spend some time just with dh, the idea of somebody putting dd to bed is a bit odd.

Anyway...

1.Damian Lewis
2.Paul Bettany
3.Jake Gyllenhaal
4.Daniel Craig
5.Changes from day to day but it is Alan Davies atm

Will laminate when no 5 is a fixed thing. DH reckons I can have a night of passion with any of these men and he will not mind. He is allowed no such list.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:10

Kevin Keegan circa 1984 (bubble perm)

cravingaquietlife · 10/09/2008 21:13

steals more mean mummy badges...... I get sad when the school give my kids back at the end of the day.

No, not on the market yet, just had a valuation done, it was shite too, not a good market for already renovated big houses unfortunately. People still want something small and cheap to do up. We are fully expecting it to take 1 - 2 yrs to sell, it's the norm out here! Not sure how we are going to manage but just the fact that something is happening is enough at the moment.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:17

I do.I get back from work sometimes and I see the DD's sitting having their tea at the CM's table with her kids through the window as im walking down the path and they look so happy and like a family that I feel almost guilty for going in and disturbing them.I hate having to go to work.

I have had a lovely day today being at home. (granted the DD's werent here for half of it which may have something to do with it )

I heart Damian Lewis.Esp in Band of Brothers..To be fair Alan Davies is the odd one out on an otherwise very acceptable list.

Here is mine (it changes daily)
1 Brandon Flowers from The Killers
2.Jason Priestley (but only when he was in 90210)
3.Jonathan Rhys Meyers (but only in Tudor dress)
4.Ryan from the OC (but only if he were in character)
5.David Cameron (I cant help it.I like a bit of posh-but only if he didnt remind me he was a Conservative..bet he's not in bed though..I reckon he's wild!)

Themasterandmargaritas · 10/09/2008 21:18

Ol Jake, now there is a man I wouldn't kick out of bed. Actually I would have to add James McAvoy. Who is Paul thingumy?

Oh yes Scoot, KK, a wet perm favourite.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:19

Well you never know CAQL..Tell you what, when I win the lotto I will buy it off you, then give it you back..but only if you let me stay once a year for a week or two

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:21

I forgot the McAvoy. How could I.I may bump Rhys Meyers for him..(not Cameron of course)

Themasterandmargaritas · 10/09/2008 21:22

Btw MrsJB, I'm not talking about missing the other two when they are at school, oh lordy no. Especially after reading a mahoosive book all about the moon and trying to explain all about eclipses, the difference between various space shuttles and space capsules, probes and lunar modules not to mention the moon's gravitational pull, to ds1, I wish he could stay at school all day everyday. At least J can't say 'Mummmeeeee, mum, mama, mummmmeeeeeee where are you? WHERE?'.

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 21:24

Paul Bettany. Was in Wimbledon, Da Vinci Code, A Beautiful Mind, Knights Tale etc.

Alan Davies is a temporary thing, would never get permanent status. I'm hormonal today. Orlando Bloom sometimes makes an appearance and Heath Ledger was a favourite. Last week was Rhys Meyers whatsit. Absolutely no to David Cameron btw. I know who Ryan from the OC is but haven't heard of the other two. I like the Jewish guy from the OC, might pop him on the list for a while. Or Clive Owen.

James McAvoy is Mr Tumnus. I have no other frames of reference. Cute, but don't like halflings.

cravingaquietlife · 10/09/2008 21:25

It's a deal Scoot, too kind!

off to bed too, J teething badly, her gums are actually bruised and so swollen, no doubt she'll have me up in the night again tonight, could be A's turn actually!

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 21:25

Have considered and no, definitely can't shag a man with hooves.

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 21:27

Might go to bed too. DD's asleep, curled up like a cat on the sofa. Will take her up and chuck her in her bed and try and read this bloody time travel book.

cravingaquietlife · 10/09/2008 21:29

Oh thats OK then TMAM... thank god you are not letting the team down. Untited together we will win.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 21:31

Dont worry it my next mission (following the one to get 'I beg of you' into the common parlance) to meet and marry Brandon Flowers from The Killers and when I do I will invite you all to the wedding (and Brandon and I will pay for the fayres for you all to come obv as he is very wealthy.)
Whats that you say?Married already..Well Brandon wont mind-helpfully he is a mormon!
And DH will understand..he watches the Glastonbury coverage he taped so often that it highly likely he has a man crush of his own

Lovely chatting tonight ladies..
Off to bed to watch the news to see if I can spot Cameron anywhere (Im joking about Cameron)

(Kind of )

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 21:31

Meanies. I could buy the French mansion and start my own school. I'm not sending dd to school, I'm looking forward to teaching her my version of the moon. It's cheese you see and populated by gingerbread men.

JamInMyWellies · 10/09/2008 21:36

you have all made me chuckle this evening. I do love the randomness.

BTW Jake Gylenhall is lurvely in real life I met him once when he was wearing nothing but jodphurs and a baggy white shirt all very Jilly Cooper-esque.

My lamimated changes all the time but I do feel its essential to have an older man on there I have a sort of thing for James Caan from Dragons Den on Bill the BBC breakfast man.

night lovely ladies, oh SOH will check out Elvedon.

AprilMeadow · 10/09/2008 21:49

Oh my god you lot are so funny! I am supposed to be doing my homework but i have got as far as scribbling an organisational chart on the back on an envelope and reading the thread!

Really, we are allowed a top 5...... hmm will need to think about that one.... will get back you all later.

Night night to you all and 'see you' in the morning x

MKG · 10/09/2008 22:58

Here's my list

  1. Russell Crowe
  2. Denzel Washington

That's it no one else compares, and there is no reason for anyone else to be on the list.

cravingaquietlife · 11/09/2008 08:12

Morning....

My list is too shocking to share.

ShowOfHands · 11/09/2008 08:55

Now that just won't wash. Come on. Tell us. Are they all fat, old and balding?

Russell Crowe looks like a potato. I like potatoes but it's not something I look for in a man.

Jennyusedtobepink · 11/09/2008 09:21

Jake Gyllenhall? Nooooooooooo. I was going to go AWOL but I decided against it. You ladies are my only sanity.

My list is:

1.George Michael
2.Justin Timberlake
3.Luke Perry
4.Joe McIntyre (NKOTB forever)
5.Hugh Grant

Don't worry, Barry Manilow isn't on there. Although I find myself constantly humming Cliff Richard's new song. Worrying, no?

And I heart Girls of the Playboy Mansion. I may move there with L. My norks are big enough. If they can just airbrush every other part of me.
