Hi all. Well I've made it through the first day with kids! It's always so hard going back to the beginning of the year, you can't imagine how they will ever end up like the class that just left you! They do seem very, very young and I've had the first one weeing on the carpet already!! They seem like a likeable bunch though and I'm sure we will be fine. I'm certainly feeling more tired already and we've only done two days.
C went back to Nursery today and is wearing full uniform now. Oh my God he looked so cute this morning. Really grown up but still my baby all in one. I will try and post a photo soon.

JamInMyWellies · 09/09/2008 21:35

Scoot the amount of mumsnetisms that have entered my everyday language is shocking. I do love "I beg of you" it covers so many scenarios.

Abbey glad the first day went well.

Nothing from Lups assuming all is ok.

TheGreatScootini · 09/09/2008 22:42

at the weeing on the carpet Abby..

I know..I referred to DH as 'DH' yesterday when I was talking to my boss who is not an MN'er.She looked at me very oddly

I MUST go to bed..I am half dead.I really hope that my DD's play ball tonight and sleep through, colds or no, as I shant have the energy to move.DH will have to do it {again}

AprilMeadow · 10/09/2008 12:32

HELLO ANYONE THERE?

elkiedee · 10/09/2008 12:46

Hi AM!

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 12:51

I beg of you!Where is everyone these days?It really wont do!Especially not when im working from home.

M had her MMR with not a whimper bless her.The nurse asked me about 30 times if I was OK for her to have it'even though' she has a cold, until I became paranoid that cold plus MMR may equal certain death.Have sent her off to the cm with some Calpol.Tis only right as a member of Team Mean

I must say I like this being at home lark.I have cleaned the house, had breakfast with the girls and made dinner for later already. Now they have gone had better get some of my actual work done I s'pose..

charleymouse · 10/09/2008 12:58

Afternoon April, hello everyone.

Sorry to hear yor DH has not been well Lups hopefully his cry for help will be met with the appropriate services.

Sorry not been around have been trying to move out of one house into the other so we can get sorted. We have moved into new house but not moved out of the old one IYSWIM.

I am a terrible hoarder. I have nearly all DDs clothes, toys etc. I have receipts and bills for practically everything I have ever bought and bank statements going back years. I have to start throwing things away don't I? The thrifty part of me thinks they might come in useful or I might need them in the future. I think I will have to charity shop some stuff aka get them to come round with big van and remove all of my posessions.

DH thinks I will end up on life of grime in the future surrounded by everything I have ever bought and its associated packaging and receipts/instructions etc. 'Tis an illness I tell you.

Anyway back in work and had interview for "my" job yesterday and looks like it went okay and is mine but they cannot formally confirm until all staff have had their interviews.

Sorry to miss you scoot hope you are feeling better.

Woohoo LG&T a pink one . Is P okay with this?

Hope work is ok Abby, why are you weeing on the carpet?

Jam great holiday pics

Hello everyone else I am off to try to catch up a bit more, boy you lot can gas.

CM blatantly ignores all talk of meetups and sniffs very loudly with arms folded.

charleymouse · 10/09/2008 13:02

Hi PJ hope you are having a nice day off work and you and M have had chance to sort things out a bit.

Well done on the MMR scoot have yet to get Gs done, he seems so little. DD was about 18 months though so was in no rush but will get it sorted soon.

Hi Elkie good afternon to you

MKG · 10/09/2008 13:05

Good morning everyone. Well I don't know what it is but people have just been disappearing lately.

LG&T, get those children off to school and get back here.

TYG and SKY let those babies cry and get back here.

But seriously I hope everyone else has been doing more exciting stuff than I have. I am officially 14 weeks, and the time is flying by.

TheGreatScootini · 10/09/2008 13:48

Are you showing yet MKG..Will you start doing toilet paper Tuesday again?

Hiya Charley..yay on the move!It will be a faff but all worth it in the end when you are happily ensconced in your lovely new gaff

AprilMeadow · 10/09/2008 14:33

TPT those were the days!

MKG · 10/09/2008 14:42

No scoot--I'm not showing yet. I haven't gained any weight yet (thank goodness). I didn't show with the others until around 6 months though, so we'll see.

JamInMyWellies · 10/09/2008 15:26

What the hell is toilet paper tuesday?

MKG · 10/09/2008 15:33

Remember we would take toilet paper, wrap it around our bumps, and say how many sheets we were. Some lunatic thought it was a good idea.

ShowOfHands · 10/09/2008 15:37

AM started it, it was AM.

JamInMyWellies · 10/09/2008 15:42

oh that must have been before I joined the madness. I am quite sure I have not done that but if I were to do it now it would be at least 100sheets of double quilted velvet.

MKG · 10/09/2008 15:43

It was AM on October 16th, 2006 to be exact.

Jennyusedtobepink · 10/09/2008 16:02
