Bluergh! I have just eaten a M&S Toffee Sundae. And I really, really wish I hadn't.

If the kids had eaten it (which they were meant to) they'd have stopped when they'd had enough and felt sick. Not me, ploughed on.

Ohforfoxsake · 13/09/2008 21:13

oh I'm bored!

and fat

I lost 10 pounds two weeks ago, and feel like I've put 14 on.

bored, crap and fat.

I think I'll go to bed.

LackaDAISYcal · 13/09/2008 21:19

I've lost six lbs

bugger off

Ohforfoxsake · 13/09/2008 21:21

ah-ha, some company! How are you Daisy?

LackaDAISYcal · 13/09/2008 21:23

no tallulah...it's the salary you earn in those eight weeks that sets the "90% average earnings" for the first six weeks of SMP. You'll still get it, but if you are off sock and getting SSP it'll lower your average earnings. I had all this quandry with mine as by the time my leave started I was only on SSP which was too low to qualify for SMP.....but in the weeks 17-25 I was still getting some company sick pay, so it meant I was safe...if that makes any sense!

There is a farking great eight legged thing running around my living room floor . Every so often it crosses my peripheral vision and then disappears under the sofa or shelves.....I'm starting to get a bit pissed off with it!

Tis the change in the seasons, bringing the tarantulas out.

Are you rested?

LackaDAISYcal · 13/09/2008 21:27

better thanks foxy; I had a pretty good sleep last night (six hours straight with no wake-ups ) and less tired thanks to my lovely afternoon nap, but by the time the kids went to bed I could quite happily have throttled them......Why am I doing this again? babies, I can do babies; it's when they get to the noisy, answering back, not doing as they are told stage that I fall to pieces.
Hope you enjoyed the pud; I've eaten chocolate cake at lunchtime and then haagen dasz and the remaining chocolate cake at teatime

Hi Foxy & Daisy. Ahhh - see what you mean Daisy but sure I get 6 months full pay if off sick so would not be off nearly that long before mat leave would start.Better check it out carefully though. Send your eight legged beasties my way - feckin flies still everywhere - yuk !

LackaDAISYcal · 13/09/2008 22:20

wow at six months full pay . you should be just fine then. As you went back after maternity leave with DD, then your continuous employment record will be intact so you will meet the criteria for it (you did go back to the same employer didn't you?).

right, in the spirit of taking it easy, I'm off to bed with some herbal tea and my book

catch you all tomorrow

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/09/2008 22:24

G'night Daisy. Off to bed myself too. Night All.

Bumperlicious · 14/09/2008 08:34

Morning all

Tallulah, what daisy was talking about was why I mentioned about your maternity pay but sounds like you are sorted.

Foxy, sorry you are feeling fat, I know how you feel though. Have you noticed on the wii fit that your mii gets fatter when you put on weight. I only noticed because my friend who got married a couple of months ago and is now sooooo thin. Her mii is like a stick compared to mine and DH's big fat fatties!

Ohforfoxsake · 14/09/2008 10:59

I've noticed that my wii-fit board lets out a little 'yikes' when I step on. Please tell me they all do that!

Crappyshitty here. Females of the family all snotty, LO bf from about midnight to 5.30am, boys ignoring me, DDs whinging, and I have some sort of creature living in the floor between the kitchen and my bedroom. No sign of what it might be, have had all my kitchen cupboards out - definately not mice as they make themselves known, and sounds too big. You can hear the clatter of claws ... am hoping its a squirrel nesting. Rodent man will be called tomorrow.

I feel like a big pile of poo. A very sorry for myself pile of poo. I shall leave and take my misery with me.

Awwww foxy, it doesn't say yikes, you are either stepping on it too soon or you are hearing things in your head. Better to be a crazy person than a fatty! My mii just looks really upset when I weigh myself...

no foxy, don't go away with your misery. Stay and compare!

Our takeaway was delish, if a bit late to be considered a meal for children. DS2 loves "kebob" and was munching raw onion and ... SALAD! (I am not a truly bad person - we waited til baggins was asleep because I just know he would love kebab with chilli sauce). I went to bed with DS2 though becasue he is having nightmares and spent all night waiting to be sick because someone told me there's an evil bug going round and I've been feeling a bit ill for a couple of days so had decided I had it. I still feel rough despite a lie in, but no vomiting or anything. It is hard to be ill when you have guests.

DH is teaching all the boys to make roast chicken this morning, then I will get to do chicken broth tomorrow with DSS. Yippee. Being nice all the time is killing me.

I am going to an OU information day in a couple of weeks. sounds like an nice gift idea.

Riaonabroomstick · 14/09/2008 12:09

I am not cut out to be a cokr teacher. Tis good practice for DH ion his possible new career as a lecturer though

There is a PT job I am tempted to apply for in the local swanky farm shop, but I can't decide if it will be worse to face the wrath of my mother for working, or face the prospect of christmas with no money. Hopefully DH will get an excellent agency job from now til christmas and then I won't have to make the decision

bugger, baggins has woken up.

Riaonabroomstick · 14/09/2008 12:10

my keyboard has issues. COOKERY. bloody thing.

I don't know what an ILA is TBH. I like gifts that are "different". I enjoy the choosing process and the giving far more than receiving. christmas shopping is a military operation for me - lists and planning, then more lists...

I must go.

Get that essay done or else.

I am much the same with being sociable. I am not skilled in that area.

It looks like there is financial support available, hopefully it will be opne of the things covered at this taster session thingy. I just hope my enthusiasm lasts long enough for me to get started!

I am almost RL friendless. My BF has started being really weird, natural enough I suppose as DS1 isn't at the same school as her DS2 any more, but I aren't going to force him to be friends with her DS any more than I would stop him playing with him (which I think is probably what she thinks,it's also not my fault that I have a cat and her new dog can't cope with it). But I would rather have no friends than force the situation. I can't be arsed with weiredness{sp?} and insincerity. I suppose I am feeling sorry for myself because I can't have a good tipsy bickering session with DH because I am on My Best Behaviour atm.

Lunch is nearly ready. DS2 made the yorkshire puddings. Bless him.

Bumperlicious · 14/09/2008 13:11

I'm looking into OU atm. Unfortunately as I already have a degree I can't get any financial help, unless I can convince work that it will help with my job.

Good luck Ria, what do you fancy doing?
