I know Spin. My boy! Am talking about his birthday lots with them, to soften blow of leaving their nursery this week, and to get H to understand his birthday is Thursday but his party is Saturday etc etc. Toby keeps singing him happy birthday it's so sweet!

My sister beat me 3-1. great fun though!

Where's CB? Need her to help me prep for tomorrow.....

Hey Annie, fallen off the wagon yet?

aGalChangedHerName · 09/09/2008 14:17

Spin you look really great in all your pics, are you sure you need to diet???

Well i stopped going to my diet class months ago and hadn't weighed myself for ages.
I started off at 14st 3lbs and got to 10st 4lbs for my wedding last April. My Scottish Slimmers target was 9st 7lbs. I have put on loads since the wedding. Weighed myself at the gym 2 days before my gallstones attack and i was 11st 12lbs and bloody .

Weighed myself agian on Sunday and i am 11st 6lbs. I can eat no crap whatsoever sadly, and no flipping booze!! I don't think i want to be 9st 7lbs tbh but if i got down to my wedding weight i'd be quite happy

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 09/09/2008 14:31

Hey Ladies!

Day Six! Still high on the wagon. DH has tried to tempt me most nights but I WILL NOT give him the satisfaction.
Unfortunately have put on two pounds since starting my Wii Fit 'regime', so THAT is a load of crap. Though it may help if I ran for more than three minutes. At the moment I have a really sore ankle, it pains me to walk. I must have twisted it or something...

Bloss, Best of Luck for tomorrow, you'll blind 'em I'm sure. Your two boys last day at nursery .

Mimi had her first day today! Well, dropped the pair off this morning. They were straight in there, happy as anything. Joey was 'looking after' Mimi, 'do you want to play something else now Mimi?'. DH and me said goodbye etc, and snuck off, not a bother on them! It was harder to say goodbye to DH, I had to catch my train and he just wanted to moan about what he was going to do with himself! Anyway got a text from him about 12.30 when they were home and eating lunch, 'All home and sad, Mimi cried a bit and Joey cuddled her better. Where's mammy'. AWWWW!
She'll be grand though I'd say. We'll see next week anyway, when she'll know we're leaving her there!!

And her bed arrived on Friday so she's been in it every night. She still wakes a lot though, just for cuddles mostly. Her top canines are coming through now so hopefully once they're through, we'll have even more improvement. But I can't complain, it's a million times better than having her in our bed. DH even suggested bring her in last night, as she wasn't very well (teeth, snuffly) but I nearly screamed NO! at him. I ain't ever going back to that! He was quite miffed. Fine for him, he's safe on his side!

Anyways, I'm off tomorrow, visiting one of Joey's potential schools and going to a Toddler Service at church, you know, just to big ourselves up for the nearest CofE school. Hypocritical I know (even more so as I'm RC, the DC's are RC and DH is CofE but not really!). It's just so near! The things we do for our LO's eh...

So, best get on.

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 09/09/2008 14:32

Algach, meant to say, so to hear of your not-so-impending surgery. Hope you are not suffering too much.

thefortbuilder · 09/09/2008 19:49

well jacob decided after saying yes pizza would be nice for dinner that he would have one mouthful only. and had 2 smoothies.....and milk and has just laid in bed and thrown up.

and dh's reaction is "listen flick i'll call you back in a while about this" in his best "i'm going to lecture you like you're one of my associates" voice.....

might as well open the vino now am sure i'm going to need it in a few mins as he's going to overreact about having pizza for dinner.

do your 2yo's get pizza on an odd occasion for tea? assuming they're not allergic to ingredients of course.

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 09/09/2008 19:49

Bloss - I am here if you still need me

Annie - great news about Mimi and her bed - I can completely see why you don't want to go backwards but men don't seem to understand the 'taking the consistent approach' do they?

ceebee74 · 09/09/2008 19:51

Flick - just seen your post. Poor Jacob Of course Josh has pizza - in fact I don't really consider pizza to be that bad (depending on the toppings I guess) but bread, tomato sauce and cheese are all good things for little ones (in moderation of course). Am sure that it is not the pizza that has made him sick - either just a bug or the 2 smoothies on top of the pizza and then lying down?

thefortbuilder · 09/09/2008 19:59

he had 1 measly little bite of pizza as well and then declared he didn't want any more! but trying to explain that to dh won't wash....

i totally agree it was the 2 smoothies then bottle of milk that did it. he's such a greedy thing sometime and can drain one of those innocent smoothies in literally less than a minute now

how you feeling cb?

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 09/09/2008 20:20

Definitely not the pizza then! Josh used to down a bottle of milk before bed in 10 seconds flat - and then would almost always throw up about 2 hours later. Once we stopped the bottle (about a year ago now) and give him his bedtime milk in a sippy cup, then he doesn't drink as much/as fast and has been fine. So it does sound like it is all the guzzling that caused it.

I am fine - thanks for asking. This pg seems to be DRAGGING though - did your second one drag? I can't wait for it to be over tbh - even if it does mean a return to chaos and sleepless nights - I just want my baby

thefortbuilder · 09/09/2008 20:26

well i've just had the phone call.

i got the following from DH
why are we feeding jacob pizza? isn't it just junk food that you are feeding him? why did he have 2 smoothies? why did you let him ? what are you going to do tomorrow when he wants 2? why is he having so much bought food in the evening at the moment? (pizza tonight and chipolatas last night).

i'm so fucking angry right now and i know i'm sorry for using the f word on here but i could really throttle him right now. and he's just shitty to me on the phone because he knows i can't yell at him because then all i'll get is the "well i'm really stressed at work and you being like this isn't really helping me at all" well his attitude isn't helping me either.

sorry rant over

cb yes it practically dragged by as well.

OP posts:
TheGoddessBlossom · 09/09/2008 21:26

ignore him Flick. What a ridiculous thing to say. I am 100% certain that if he was looking after your two they would get "bought" food more often than you give it to them. And what the hell is wrong with pizza every now and then anyway? I'm sure you're not talking deep pan meat feast every afternoon!!

Hi CB Not really sure what I want your help with, just wanted my resident HR expert to wave encouragingly! So thanks!

Off to plan "Sock it to 'em" suit for tomorrow....

xx

HumphreysCorner · 09/09/2008 21:32

Sophie has been having pizza for as long as I can remember-we have it every Saturday tea.

yes well we had a rehashed version of the talking to a few minutes ago when i pretty much told him to sod off.

he said "I know it's difficult to have the time to make home made stuff all the time when we don't have an au pair".....smug git, to which i replied "actually it's the crappy small freezer we have that means i can't freeze portions, because you won't let me buy a bigger freezer because we're moving because of your work" and then i was really childish and hung up on him

grovelling phone call from him about 45 mins after i hung up on him but that's as far as it goes.

and if i hadn't been so mad at him i'd have rofl'd as well at that ridiculous remark! I know he means well but I am perfectly capabale of doing it on my own, just means my business won't get touched...

first lot of stock arrived yesterday so i can now get promo photos done for the baby show - v excited, but also a little daunted by the amount of work i have to do! dh has finally realised this and offered to take boys to park on saturday or sunday for a few hours so I can get on and do stuff. will have to disable tinternet so i don't MN

Interview Day Summary:

London one this morning went really well. Second interview next week, have to meet the big boss. I have "gravitas" apparently. Does my gravitas look big in this? How hilarious.

Second one this afternoon was more inconclusive...interest on both sides but they aren't sure of what headcount is available for another couple of weeks, which does beg the question why bother to see me....????

Anyway, that's done. Wine in freezer. Knackered.

HumphreysCorner · 10/09/2008 19:33

Well done Bloss!

Hi All

Just a quickie as I have to get back to refereeing constant wrestling matches and screaming competitions (me included). We're all very tired...

Some pics from camping, and Mimi's bed. She's still sleeping in there every night, and only one morning came in and tapped me on the shoulders, and whispered 'I wanna come in your bed, Mammy' so sweetly I couldn't resist her. It was time to get up anyway, so it was only for a few minutes. Last night was probably the best sleep ever, woke only twice for a few minutes. It's getting better! Like everybody said it would!! Yaay!

Bloss, sounds like you blew em away, well done you! Deserve that vino.

I'm on DAY SIX and still going. DH however had a pint and a half yesterday when he went for lunch with his mate. Ha ha! One-Nil to me!

Flick, sympathies on your DH. Sometimes their attitudes just stink. And that's all I will say on the matter, otherwise I may rant for a long time... let's just say I don't like being told who to talk to at a toddler group.

We've been visiting schools for Joey. Two so far, really nice and happy for him to go there, but we are so far outside the catchment area chances are slim-a-rooney. Just have to Pray even harder and more often!!

Ok, must go. Laters.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 11/09/2008 15:15

Hey all - just been skimming the thread.

Annie - glad sleeping is continuing well, love the tent photos. DS has his naps in the big bed when he is home with me during the day, but he's still in the cotbed at night. Had to do cot hurdling for the first time in ages the other night as he wouldn't settle and twanged my poor pregnant groin , cue much hobbling.

Bloss - sounds promising about the job and happy birthday to H.

flick - good luck for baby show

thefortbuilder · 11/09/2008 15:34

well diet coke all over the laptop yesterday so had to get new one today. got fancy new little hp thing which is lurvely!!!

spin will carry on with mail order side of it and probably come back to UK once a year (anyway) and do baby show then. for orders will send a big package back once every couple of weeks to UK and get my mum to post for me here so should be ok.
