Oh Dooby. I am so sorry about your cousin's wife. How awful I remember you posting to tell us she had cancer. So so sad.

Oooggs, I am sure you can get a T shirt printed!!! Hope you are feeling better today.

Bramshott, pmsl at spending child benefit on gin

elkiedee · 31/07/2008 16:41

Bramshott, did you get yourself anything?

Eddas · 31/07/2008 16:50

dooby, that put's everything in perspective

CaptainDippy · 31/07/2008 18:34

Dooby - praying for your cousin and the family. xx

Have been to docs. Have to go back at 8am tomorrow (barf) for blood tests. He thinks there's something wrong with my kidneys and/or liver Also wants to give me steroids for my chest, but reluctant to give them before he gets blood results. So there you go. The saga continues ......

Eddas · 31/07/2008 18:48

glad you managed to get to the doctor cd. fingers crossed the blood tests help solve the problem

i need the children to go to bed. I can tell dd is going to be a pita. They've been up since 6 and dh and I have had enough. They have been good today it's just all the other 'challenges' at the moment. I'm looking forward to work tomorrow, will be nice to not have any children in my ear. Saturday i'm off out without them too and i'll be seeing my brother, sister and 2 cousins so that'll be nice. We're getting together to have photos taken for my nan as she's 80 in october and deserves something nice. She loves photos. I'm also going to make her up a little scrapbook type thing of my dc as she'll love showing them off to visitors

i need to work again tonight so kick me off here if I start posting

Doobydoo · 31/07/2008 19:26

Thanks for your posts ladies.Dippy, how are you feeling[mentally I mean]?And no flip answers please.I am very glad you went and will be even more pleased when you know what is going on.Once you arein the system they will hopefully get on with it.
Eddas that is a lovely idea for a scrapbook,I shall remember that.
Just spoke to my grandad who is 89[he was a stretcher bearer in the 2nd world war]and has always had such a zest for life, but has been quite poorly the kast year.He told me he loved me with all his heart!
I feel things have been put into perspective in a massive way.I have worked as a paed nurse and in a childrens hospice so have always had a bit of a different outlook and do try not to take things for granted but every now and then maybe we need reminding.Well I don't want to be reminded anymore I promise I will always remember what is important

Doobydoo · 31/07/2008 19:27

I keep thinking how lonely my coz must be they were soulmates and then I wondered how I would feel if it was dpAnd there is nothing anyone can say to him that will make it ok.Nothing.

Doobydoo · 31/07/2008 19:29

Consider that a wry smile

Feeling a bit if I am honest. I'm good with needles so nervous. Bit scared tbh.

Oh your grandad told you he loved you with all his heart - that is completely lovely.

Bramshott · 01/08/2008 10:18

Dippy - I am getting the spotty dresses for the DDs (and it's all your fault !)

Does anyone know whether Boden kids normally comes up large or small? Will I regret it if I get 12-18 months for Orla (bearing in mind that she is a dink), or will she be lost in 18-24 months?!? Anyone?!?

Bramshott · 01/08/2008 10:32

Nope, I've stopped being indecisive, and ordered the 12-18 months! First time I've ever bought them matching dresses

elkiedee · 01/08/2008 10:42

I had to work really hard to resist the spotty dog babygros in Harrogate Mothercare in 18-24 months and 0-3 months - D already has several sizes which new baby can inherit but I thought it would be funny to dress them both in the same ones. I'd probably have done it if I'd been more confident about the pregnancy at the time (I was panicking re test results).

Bramshott · 01/08/2008 10:43

The dresses are for a wedding we're going to on 16 August so I'll take a picture and post it!
