pmsl at my spelling of picasso!! see, I agree with you sol, they have so much storage and I personally would have one. But dh says i'll just fill the storage with crap. He does have a point He did say last night that he's not too bothered since he rarely drives the car. He even said he wouldn't mind a micra that was my very first car. I bought and brand new one and it served my brilliantly for 6 years until dd was due and we thoguth we needed a bigger car. In truth it would've been fine. Anyhow I loved that car and miss it

I'm gonna try and go looking either today or tomorrow and see what I can find out about the cost of tax etc on each car so we can get one that doesn't cost too much to run in terms of petrol/tax.

SI think my posts maybe quite car orientated for a while

geordieminx · 30/07/2008 08:44

Morning ladies!

Eddas - I have a focus - bit of a boring family type car in comparison to my last one and to dp's sports car but to be honest its grand - big enough for all of our crap, not like trying to park a bus, cheap parts etc.

mammyjo · 30/07/2008 09:48

I have a focus too, nice big boot for fitting lots of crap in and plenty of room for two car seats in the back. Roof rack for the dc's sounds good though Eddas!

WO, lovely to see you When do you start your new job?

NL, work is just shite sometimes isn't it. I will be crossing my fingers for you next Tuesday. I am a strong believer in fate and some things are just meant to be. Perhaps things have to be so rough in order to give you the push to change them iykwim.

SOL, sometimes I feel down for no reason and dh just doesn't understand it. I know what you mean though and it is a weird feeling. Hopefully it will pass soon. Just think, only a few weeks and you can come to the wonderful place that is welshest Wales! Now that has got to cheer you up

Off out today to a play place to meet a couple of ds's friends. Saves me having to make lunch anyway as they can get something there!
See you later everyone xx

CaptainDippy · 30/07/2008 10:09

Morning - feeling rough again Will go to Docs tomorrow while Dcs are at nursery, promise

We have a Multipla - I know they are ugly, but I love my car - it is soooo practical, bags of room, easy to drive, not too cumbersome (even I can park it ) Took me a looooong time to persuade DH to buy one

Doobydoo · 30/07/2008 11:58

Haloooo.Quickie.
Dippy.
Know what you mean about change NL but feel the fear and do it!Hope it works out.
SOL,ds1 and i clash,we are very alike!
WE have a nissan almeira which is very old and covered in food and dog hair but i love it
Dp has a volvo for work car which is nice....don't know how long for though
Have good day all.
Hi to all i missed.xxxxx

I looove my Audi A3 but prob not sort of thing you looking for! There is some sort of VW, I think a polo, that is tax free as emissions so low and I think VWs pretty good cars. General advice I have received from car people is too avoid french cars, they can be fab but they are more likely than other makes to have lots of problems and you never know if you're getting a good one or not! My peugeot 307 was a nightmare, 2 new gearboxes in 3 years, new clutch, new exhaust...the list goes on and none of it cheap

SOL - don't really have time to post properly atm but I know how you feel about B. Maia and I have problems, she is a good girl and shes lovely but she has this attitude and can just wind me up so much.

Phone just rang, post more later

oooggs · 30/07/2008 13:58

Eddas - I love my Picasso but she will be going soon

Bramshott · 30/07/2008 14:07

I was to hear KHIN's news and then more that it was not her news IYSWIM! Anyway, it is confirmed that no-one is more mad than Oooggs!

Have added some new pics to profile.

Eddas · 30/07/2008 17:39

i'd love a picasso but dh really not keen he seems pretty set on a ford of some sort.

this time tomorrow we may have a definate plan. May have any put down a deposit I have prepared my nan i told her dh is taking tomorrow off work so we can go looking. I think dd may get just a little bored i've suggest we set out at ds' nap time

Fingers crossed dc are worn out, i am. they need to go to bed at the usual time and they need to go to sleep without 'issues' tonight as I am tired and need to do about 30 hours work, not sure i'll get that much done but wil do my best

Eddas · 30/07/2008 17:43

aw cute pics bramshott. i like the sandwich one. ds does that with things puts them in his mouth, then snarls whilst running off

Eddas · 30/07/2008 18:31

i'm tired

ds in bed and not squeeking yet, so fingers crossed

dd being put to bed by dh(only daddy will do) and fingers crossed for her too as i'm not sure she'll get much more than 'back to bed' from me tonight

Doobydoo · 30/07/2008 19:21

Evening all.Am knackered.Dp and I are lurgified.
M was watching Last of the summer wine earlierstaring really intently at the screen[we wern't watching it honest!Hate it]then he went up to the screen pointed at Compo[old little man with woolly hat]and then went up to dp and pointed at him and said DADA.M was smiling.Dp now keeps asking if he does look like him...bearing in mind dp is about 30 od years younger and has longish not too greyish hair i assured him he dosen't but it won't be long[hehe]
Compo also had string holding his trousers up which will prob be us soon as dp has been summoned to the office on Tues.
Hope all babies sleep well.and us too of course.xx

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2008 19:24

Hi everyone
Lovely pictures Bramshott
Eddas, hope you get some work done

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2008 19:25

Dooby, sorry you have the lurgy, can you not be a bit more of a drama queen about it, as I am when one of us is ill? What do you mean DP summoned to the office, is this to do with redundancy???

Doobydoo · 30/07/2008 19:26

Yes I think it is.
Ok for drama...I am sooooooooooooo tired,I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to drape myself across a chaise longue and be fed chicken soup and weak tea and be made much of[fat chance]

CaptainDippy · 30/07/2008 19:54

OI!!! Geroff mi chaise longue, Dooooooooby poo

Don't forget - you need a dainty lacy hankie to dab at your forehead too!

Doobydoo · 30/07/2008 20:00

I also have my smelling salts.I am having mashed spuds,my comfort food and a nice cuppa tea

oooggs · 30/07/2008 20:01

dooby - great drama

Bramshott - mad? no very stupid - we are both very very tired and have put dts in different rooms because we panda to their every need because they share a room and whip one out when they start creating so they don't disturb the other one. I am fed up and so is dh

I just want to cry, got home from nursery and had to run as was being sick - why can't you buy sleep on mastercard?

sorry very self absorbed

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/07/2008 20:05

SofaBoy just asked me to marry him.

OP posts:
Eddas · 30/07/2008 20:23

not sure why oooggs, would be nice. buying free time and a night off would be good too

potc, and you said??????????????

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/07/2008 20:26

No. But am seriously wondering whether that was the right thing to do. Really wish there was that spark, he really loves me, that much is obvious, and is completely willing to change his lifestyle to suit me and the boys......

who knows.

OP posts:
geordieminx · 30/07/2008 20:28

eh? Is sofa boy the man? I'm confused...

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/07/2008 20:34

SofaBoy is the friend from yonks ago who was virtually living on my sofa for a long time! He took J for his mmr today.

His housemate is my occasional fuckbuddy social partner
