Well done mj

Hi all

Dd1 is much better, her tonsils have shrunk to approaching normal size and she can talk properly again. I've had some stuff confirming my new post so can put my notice in on Monday!!! Very excited I will be working 5 days instead of 4 but am finishing early on two of those so it's not too bad. I'm really pleased they've been flexible about that and also that B is so happy at nursery, I can watch her in the garden there before she sees me and she always looks contented and absorbed so that is a MASSIVE weight off my mind. I think that this is just something I need to do right now and see how it goes.

Anyway - enough of my ramblings.

POTC - I did that sort of thing last week when the big girls were away - you've got to get the hours in where you can haven't you?

MJ - well done on the BMI and having a lovely day with ds.

I've had a text from dippy - she is at the docs about now so praying for some good news.

Oooggs- this baby is really putting you through the ringer. I would be astonished if it isn't a girl - they are the troublemakers!

Oooh - my shopping is here early

better go......

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2008 17:24

Just came on to see if anyne had heard from Dippy
NL glad your new job looks good and all going smoothly!
Hi everyone!

NorthernLurker · 07/08/2008 17:35

I've heard from Dippy - doc thinks it could be her gall-bladder and has given her more antibiotics and said to see how it goes.

Eddas · 07/08/2008 18:21

CD, hope the ab's help

NL, fab news about the job, when will you start?

MJ, brilliant news about the BMI, you are doing so so well. I ocassionally look at our dieting thread but don't post as i'm too I will one day restart so pleased for you

oooggs, i don't know how you do it, fingers crossed the sickness stops soon

Erm, sorry i'm crap and can't remember more, oh potc at all the pub lunches

I'm getting the new car on monday i can't wait. It's a Fiesta, 5 door(been using a 3 doorsince december) 2002(so not new but seems in good condition) and more importantly to us girls its silver a dark silver so i'd call it grey really. I can't thank my nan enough as without her we'd need another loan. Need to get her something nice or do something nice for her to say thanks

Right, best be off to help dh with the devils dc, back later, although I should be working

mammyjo · 07/08/2008 18:26

Fab news about the car eddas

NL, really pleased you have had confirmation of the new job. I hope you relish the opportunity of handing in your notice to the meanies you have been working for until now!

CD, hope the antibiotics do something to help you. You have my very highest sympathy with all things gall bladder related. Been there and most definitely got the t-shirt! Look after yourself xx

Doobydoo · 07/08/2008 18:26

dIPPY,HOPE ABS HELP.hOPE YOU OK.
Hurrah NL.Sounds like things are improving.V good re nursery.
oooggs so sorry you feel ill.
Hurrah for tonsils too NL.
Hi everyone hope all have peaceful eve.

Doobydoo · 07/08/2008 18:32

Oh and M secretly ate 3 ferrero rocherwe can deduce from this that he is not allergic to hazelnuts tho imwould have liked to check in a controlled way!I thought dp was with him when I was cooking. He was but on comp!
M also likes a small cup of earl grey now and then and swithces tv on and off and sticks his head on screen so static makes his hair stand up!xxxx

NorthernLurker · 07/08/2008 18:57

That is so cute about M and the tea! Glad he's not allergic - do yo have nut allergies in the family?

I've just realised - I've never handed my notice in like this before. I left one job after maternity leave (with dd2 - was still at uni with dd1) then the next one I left for promotion within the department and so this is my first time actually leaving one job for another

Sexonlegs · 07/08/2008 19:45

Evening all

NL, glad dd1's tonsils are getting better. And lovely to hear how happy B is at nursery

Dippy, hope you are feeling ok. What's next after the ab's - have they said?

Oooggs, sorry you are feeling so awful. Have you felt this bad every pregnancy?

MJ, congrats on the BMI - fab news
Will there be anything left of you when we meet up

Eddas, fab news re the car.

POTC, I am also v jealous of your pub lunches - enjoy them

Hi Dooby. Pmsl at M stuffing choccies! Bless his heart.

Hope everyone else is ok.

All fine here. Long day at work and now on the red wine. K seems to be taking an age to drop off, but is singing to herself in her cot bless her.

Cooking guru's. How do I take the sharpness out of something lemony?

I am cooking chicken and asparagus risotto with lemon juice, and it is too lemony!!!

NorthernLurker · 07/08/2008 19:53

sugar? pepper? some cream? I used sugar when the wine I was cooking sausages in turned to vinegar but I don't really know about lemons....

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/08/2008 19:58

absolutely no idea I'm afraid, my cooking leaves a lot to be desired
