Foxy, I definitely have a climber - he can get onto his sisters TrippTrapp-style chair, the back of the sofa, our bed, the dining chairs, etc. He tries to get onto the windowsill, but thankfully hasn't made it yet 9windows locked shut, just in case!). He has been known to push things across the room to us them to climb up to something. DD is a climber too, so I am at least used to it. He jus looks SO pleased with himself when he gets up somewhere new

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:52

Thanks Norty, taht makes me feel better. I had him in the bag with a T-shirt. I think he's just a hot-bod, like his Dad - who is always reallyhot. DS's room says 27C as well.

LittleMissNorty · 25/07/2008 21:52

Does he have plenty of bumps and bruises Fairy? windowsills....oh god....have I got that to come?

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 21:57

He's always covered in bumps. He doesn't so much walk as run everywhere so he's always careering into doors, etc - as well as falling off things, etc. He needs a safety-net .

NattyThomasAndEllen · 25/07/2008 22:10

fairy i have had to put ellen to bed in just a nappy and a sheet for the last month, because it has just been so hot in their room.
ive got a fan going in the corner tonight to help it cool down, do you think thats ok? i vaugly remeber seeing somewhere not to do that..

foxythesnowfox · 25/07/2008 22:12

oh I've only just stopped using the sleeping bag too and I've noticed the difference so am with you there Fairy!

NattyThomasAndEllen · 25/07/2008 22:22

its only cos i know someone who had a cot death in high summer due to over heating that i over strip them in summer. if anything my babies are always a little too cold lol

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/07/2008 22:25

Generally I think it's better to keep them too cool, rather than too hot.

I'm no expert Natty, but I wouldn't worry about the fan. DS was in hospital with an unidentified virus when he was 10 days old (so late June last year), and they put him in his cot in just a nappy with a fan trained on him all day and night.

NattyThomasAndEllen · 25/07/2008 22:32

i think perhaps i worry to much about things some times

Sputnik · 25/07/2008 22:48

Natty, just saw your news, hope you're feeling better, and take care of yourself.

Sputnik · 25/07/2008 23:11

been out to the athletics in Crystal Palace. Taking all 4 on my own was a bit daunting, as they have to sit in stadium seats, but it was great.

OOh, I have my wii fit hidden until next saturday. Tell me about it!

Bloody well burnt the potatoes for tea and ruined the pan as I was offering my opinion on another bf thread I shouldn't be involved in. Am well pissed off now. (About the pan, not the thread)

LittleMissNorty · 26/07/2008 17:28

LOL Foxy....MN sabbatical didn't last long then

We've been watching the athletics on my tele.....I used to live pretty close to Crystal Palace and last time I was there was to see Beautiful South and Texas

foxythesnowfox · 26/07/2008 18:43

What do you mean Norty? It lasted days!

Anyone know if you can hide a thread in your 'threads I'm on'?

I like the Beautiful South (first band I saw was the Housemartins).

Natty and Holly are going to come on and say "Who?" aren't they?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/07/2008 19:12

Oi foxy, I lurve the Beautiful South, I have 2 albums and I have a Texas album acherlee!!

Hi everyone btw.

Sorry about your news natty, take care of yourself xxx

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/07/2008 19:14

And I have a Housemartins album!

My ds has just woken up after a 4 hour snooze! There's no way he's going to go to sleep before 11 now and dp is going out tonight. I am not looking forward to the rest of my evening. I think I may need to crack open the wine!

WTF happened there?

Bumperlicious · 26/07/2008 19:21

foxy, I am (almost) as young as Holly and Natty, I might not know who The Beautiful South and Texas are either.

I do though. And I listen to Radio 2

foxythesnowfox · 26/07/2008 19:24

your wisdom and maturity are beyond your years Bumper, hence my error. please forgive me?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/07/2008 19:29

So do I bumper ! Proper music and sensible chat....OMFG I am my mother!!!

Bumperlicious · 26/07/2008 19:36

As long as it's just my wisdom foxy and not the damn wrinkles that are starting to appear

Btw, natty, so sorry about your news. Good luck trying and look after yourself.

I am KNACKERED! 3 nights away with the baby on my own, the first night she woke up, refused to go back to sleep, so I tried her on the bed with me and she fell off . God I was was shaking, and she was NOT happy, and it was 2am. The next two nights were better but she still woke up once a night, albeit briefly but enough for me to be up. Plus 2x5hour car journeys on the hottest days of the year. Urghhh! I want to go away without the baby!

How are you all anyway?

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/07/2008 19:40

Hello everyone.

The athletics sounds like fun Foxy, but didn't you swelter?

Bumper, those car journeys do not sound like much fun.

I'm of my next door neighbour who has gone to see Kylie tonight
