Hey everyone!

FF my sister has just been to see Kylie! Haven't had a chance to ask her how it was though, although I'm not much of a fan, but the four year old me would be v v . I used to dress up and pretend to be Kylie my sister has a picture somewhere!

Natty, I just want to second what Foxy said! You do seem like such a positive, upbeat person! I really love your attitude. BTW I just wanted to tell you that re: moving the furniture - please please do not beat yourself up about it! Whether you had gone hang gliding or you had been on bed rest from the second you got the BFP it wouldn't have made a difference iyswim. In my first pregnancy I did EVERYTHING right. Made sure I ate all the right things, made sure I ate my 5 a day, wouldn't lift anything etc etc. It ended in mc In my second pregancy, because of what had happened before I just tried to completely forget that I was pg, I was lifting Springer Spaniels onto grooming tables (was doing a dog grooming course and didn't want the owner to know that I was pg!) That pregnancy ended in DD. Sorry to ramble on, but I just wanted to enforce on you that what happened was nothing to do with you. You could have neither prevented or caused it!

Foxy, yay, you're back!

Next door came round yesterday. She has decided not to take the dog.

I don't know what to do. I don't think I can get her rehomed, I don't think I can do it

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/07/2008 20:26

Oh no Izzybel, I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out .

justbeme · 26/07/2008 21:35

Evening all! ( I sound like PC Plod - well I don't half look like one in my lovely uniform!!)

Izzy - Im so sorry - how about if she just agreed to help you out with dog walks if you agreed to help her in some way?? (and maybe you wouldnt have to help her that often, just water her plants when on her hols etc).

Im on the wine and Im guzzling it like its going out of fashion!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/07/2008 21:36

Jamlet has had a raised temp all day, and took ages to settle tonight. Not sure if it's teeth, or a late reaction to her jab, or ear infection, or just the heat, or a combination of some or all of the above. She cried several times during our dinner, but thankfully self settled each time. We had a nice afternoon out though at the local paddling pool. And when she was distracted by watching the other children she walked (holding my hands) with much more confidence than she has so far, despite the fact she was in the water. I think it's because she wasn't concentrating so much and therefore became less self conscious.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/07/2008 21:36

I've been on the wine too!

foxythesnowfox · 26/07/2008 21:41

A dog share. Not such a daft idea. I know a family who 'borrowed' a dog for two days a week. Kind of respite care. Might work for you both

Hi JBM and Jammy. V jealous of your wine guzzling! But I did get my Hotel Chocolate End of Season sale delivery today DP has scoffed the cappucino ones already

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/07/2008 21:45

mmmm Foxy, I got some of those end of line boxes as well. I have to admit to ordering 3 lots as I thought they seemed a bargain . I was a bit gutted though that they all contained exactly the same selection, including dark choc with chilli [bleurgh]. The other chocs all look scrummy though and I will give the chilli ones a try. I had, perhaps naievely, assumed that they would all have at least a slightly different selection in them.

Izzybel · 26/07/2008 21:51

I've been on the wine too. Just one glass though

Jammy, maybe it's the hot weather and she was happier in the pool because she was cooler. DD gets very irritable in the heat and her head sweats loads.

JBM, she did offer to give her walks, as she said that she misses taking her dog for walks and that would be perfect for me, but DP wants her gone full stop as there have been incidents such as her weeing on the floor and us finding poo on the floor and he says it's not healthy for DD when she has to crawl around, which is right I suppose.

justbeme · 26/07/2008 21:53

Hi Foxy/Fairy/Jammy!!
Gotta go in a minute as promised DP I would be quick!!
Jammy, L's sick bug started with her being grisly 4 days after her jab. DP's been sick this afternoon so it must be a bug. She went off her food 1st as well and then went very sleepy. Hope its not that. She's still not eating much since wed.

MMm choccies - mind you its abit hot for chocolate.

justbeme · 26/07/2008 21:55

Izzy, naybe the dog messed on the floor as it needed to go out and your neighbour would sort that problem?
If the messing stopped and you didnt have to take the dog out so much - would your DP still want the dog to go?

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/07/2008 21:58

Hi JBM.

Fark it's hot and sticky tonight. DS's monitor says 29C, and that's with his window open. He started off in a babygrow but has alredy woken up a couple of times so have put just a loose vest on instead and he has a fan in his room. I don't like complaining once we actually have nice weather but bleugh.

Izzybel · 26/07/2008 22:13

I don't think she has messed on purpose, it is stuff that has fallen from her as she has walked in from doing it outside iykwim, like if she has just been outside and then she comes in and shakes. I wipe her and give her baths, but sometimes it happens before I get the chance(sorry tmi.) I'm not sure whether the peeing is an attention seeking thing or whether she just didn't get out on time ( I was at my first aid course, but DP was in.) She is free to go in and out all the time when I am in, which is most of the time.
I also have been out and come back to find the contents of the bin emptied all over the floor and DP has just had enough. I think I'm just gonna try not to mention it for a while and make sure that the dog gets plenty of attention coz I really don't want her to go.

Izzybel · 26/07/2008 22:15

DD has gone to bed in just a vest too. The room thermometer says that it is the highest temperature, so might even be off the scale and I've been stuck indoors at my First Aid course today!

justbeme · 26/07/2008 22:36

Oh Izzy - i hope u get it sorted
Just watched some fireworks at a concert nearby - am REALLY off now
xx

Izzybel · 26/07/2008 22:54

That sounds good! I like fireworks in summer when it's warm, when you actually feel like standing outside watching them, rather than when it's freezing bloody cold in November.

Take care JBM xx

StorminanEcup, I like your new name! I want a new name, I'm bored of Izzybel and it's a bit crap but I'm so uninspired and not creative!

Is it really!? I didn't know that.

The first name I posted with was missdaydream but it didn't 'feel right.' I've just kinda stuck with this one.

Thanks for that link . I don't know if it would convince him as you would have trouble to convince him that black is not white. I'm just not going to to think about it for the mo, or mention it to DP. It's too upsetting. It's not just DPs fault, it's me aswell I've been far too preoccupied with DD. The dog has been a little ignored and it's ashame. Any family who wanted a dog would have my arm off to have her and would be lucky to. I feel like I need to try harder.

Right I'm off to bed. Told DP I would only be quick . 'Night x

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/07/2008 06:33

OMFG I just had an awful night. Don't ask what happened when, it's all a blur of waking, crying, soothing, feeding, applying teething gel, giving painkiller etc etc. I think I got 2 x 2 hour blocks plus a few 30 - 45 minute chunks. Finally got up at 6am. Am exhausted. But her temp is coming down so hopefully that was the worst of it. We are meant to be going to a 1st birthday party this afternoon, so hopefully she'll be well enough to go, if only for a bit.

foxythesnowfox · 27/07/2008 10:02

Jammy, same happened here too! she's been on my breast constantly since 2am. God know what her temp was but I could feel the heat radiating off her. She'd cooled down by the time we got up and it was 39.8 .

I have no idea what is wrong, but she's been out of sorts for a few days now, so I think its either the end or the beginning of something.

She and I have staying in from a Christening, and the others have gone. I'm really about it as I was really looking forward to it, and the children went off looking so lovely in their Sunday best with their hair brushed. It promises to be such a great day, and we're stuck here being clingy, whingy and miserable (both LO and me!)

LittleMissNorty · 27/07/2008 10:07

Oh you poor things Jammy and Foxy.....the temperature outside isn't helping I suspect either.....it was 29 degrees in bedrooms last night here even with windows wide open....wakes me up feeling pissed off, tired and irritable...let alone LO's who aren't well...

Hope they (and you) feel better soon x

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/07/2008 10:20

She's been clingy and sleepy all morning. Is now having a nap on DH's lap but her sleep is fitful . I don't think it helped last night that there was a fair on in the nearby park, so lots of noise until about 11 or so, and because of the heat couldn't shut the window. We put her to bed just in her jammies - short trousers and tshirt - with no sleeping bag, so that might have unsettled her a little too. But I think the main thing is she's just not feeling so good. I think it's teething and/or ear infection, so should be safe to call in to the party without risk of spreading disease. We can at least take the present round and if she's perky enough stay to play for a bit.

Foxy sorry you had a lousy night too and that you're missing the christening.
