Oh Holly....I'm sorry!

I'm a second time passer!

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2008 16:49

Arse to it Holly. I am an umpteenth time passer due to massive nerves.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2008 16:49

Congrats on your engagement JBM

LackaDAISYcal · 18/08/2008 17:19

jbm...sorry for my ungraciousness last night; I didn't even say Congratulations

soooo....big big congratualtions to you and DP

holly, all the best drivers pass secind time . Sorry you didn't get it, but it will make you a better driver when you pass next time

am in an arse of a mood today. Had a really bad night last night and was woken up with severe abdominal pain just above my right hip; paracetomol didn't even dent it and I thought I was going to have to call 999 at one point. It's calmed down a bit this morning so when after an hour I couldn't get through to community MWs, AN unit or my GP, I gave up as I was feeling better. Anyhoo, was having book thingy today so struggled round the house tidying and dusting and very nearly killing myself in the process (I can hardly walk now) and not one fucker turned up. I had had two cancellations, but not a peep from the other six people and their assorted kids I had invited. And I spent a fortune on nibbles and fancy biccies and stuff for the kids. Arse wanks all of them . You'd think a phone call to say sorry would be an easy thing to do wouldn't you.

so after an hour sitting on the sofa, I tried to get up and my leg went from under me. Finally got threough to the CMW who said call the AN assessment unit. They have decided it's all connected to me pulling my muscles on Saturday and have probably strained the ligaments. All without even seeing me and then said call if it gets worse...erm that's what I'm doing after being told that on Saturday

It's not looking very likely that I'll be able to drive to London at this rate and have spent the afternoon in tears as I feel so fucking rotten and down and disappointed as I really wanted to meet all you guys . And DH is away until Friday this week too

sorry for the self absorbed post; I was starting to feel much better about the world and then this all happens and I'm back to square 1

I'll be following the DCs to bed at 7:30 I think.

norty, ouch to all those teeth, poor DD. I suppose that explains her horrible bottom of last week.

DS lost his wobbly tooth today; he looks very strange with his gummy gap. Now what's the going rate for the tooth fairy?

Oh Daisy you poor thing. Bastards might have called.

Have a fancy biscuit or 2, give your DCs the easiest tea possible and rest. The ligament business sounds sooo painful, I really feel for you I hate the last trimester. Do take it easy.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/08/2008 17:38

Awww daisy, what a shitty day. How rude of people just not to turn up, I am actually very about that! You poor thing. Bollocks about the pain as well, that's really crap. Hope you feel better soon.

Don't think I'll be able to make it to the meet up. I was really counting on being able to drive. After doing a train journey to London a few months ago I don't know if I can face it again. Especially with ds being death wish boy, he'll probably escape from the pushchair and throw himself under a train! That is the main reason I am so upset about the whole failing thing. I really wanted to see everyone .

Storm, I am going to make myself feel better by watching My So Called Life DVD. Do you remember it? It is actually really dark and depressing, something you don't think about when you are 14 and being a teenager!

Congrats jbm, I forgot to say last night.

I need a fag !

Thought you might have Storm, we are one and the same after all ! It is still really good, but just a lot more depressing than I remember. Jordan Catalano is still mighty fit though!!

I feel really deflated now. I hate not being able to drive, it is shit. I am stuck at my parents' house atm because I can't drive home and my mum hasn't got the car seats for the dcs. Dp has gone to get the boys for a week (something I really could do without, but that's a whole other story) so I won't get home til gone 9, maybe even 10. All I want to do is get my jammies on and snuggle on the sofa.

Boooohoooo!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/08/2008 17:55

for Holly and for Daisy
for JBM though!

OK, so if Daisy, Holly, Storm and maybe Fury can't make it on Thursday, who CAN? Is it at a stage where we say stuff it, let's do it in September/whenever instead? Or if is Thursday still on, I suggest we should do another meet up fairly soon AS WELL.

Today was kind of bah and dull for me. Hope the rest of the week picks up.

Oh, and Norty said she can't come either So that might just leave me, Bumper, FF, Andiem & Foxy. Anyone else I've forgotten?

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2008 18:18

so many people can't do the meet-up. I still can. I am happy to do it this week and then another one soon or to postpone. It's really up to the 'out-of-towners', I reckon.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/08/2008 18:29

I might still be able to come. If I cry then dp might be able to take the boys back a day early (they live in Kingston)and bring me up! Fingers crossed. I haven't asked him yet, but it may be a possibility.

As soon as I've passed I'm going to drive up and see all you Londoners anyway. I've only ever met fury, she was lovely and now I want to meet more of you!

I wanna go home

LackaDAISYcal · 18/08/2008 18:32

I say you guys still meet up and we'll do it again another time.....I was going to say October hols, but, get real daisy

DS is crushed about not being able to make it and is having mega tantrums just to show his disapproval, so I've discussed it with DH and instead of going to Staithes for a week, we are going to do London instead, so I will see you all then, with a 3mo old baby for everyone to get broody over

Made chicken soup for the soul tea and it was delicious (and I feel much better). But can you believe it, soup...in August

I am aiming to get them in bed as quickly as possible and then go to mine.

DD has just taken delivery of her first pair of wellies and is stomping round in them and falling over as she can't walk in them. We will go out puddle stomping tomorrow if the rain continues and I can walk.

storm, if it's the first languages ones they are in the catalogue.

DD keeps trying to stand on the cat

Ok Daisy, but very not to meet you before then

Get your best female persuasiveness skills going Holly. ?Could you argue that he could still spend the last day with them, in Kingston/London, while you are seeing us, so he wouldn't be missing out on any time with them?

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2008 18:36

Daisy - otherwise we'll all have to hire a minibus and come on a day trip to see you

trace2 · 18/08/2008 18:38

holly sorry you didnt pass,

daisy glad you feel a little better, and please say when you going to london and we will tag on if you dont mind

andiem · 18/08/2008 19:06

hi everyone back from my hols

daisy sorry to see you can't make it ds1 was looking forward to meeting a new friend

holly I live in kingston so if fairy can make it we could meet up in kingston at my house on thurs if anyone is up for it that way if it rains we can stay indoors if not we could go to a local park

I am equally happy to meet up in central london if that is easier
you decide guys and let me know

we had a nice hols but the weather was shite only one day on the beach when it didn't rain
dh and I have decided we will not be spending out on 2 weeks in devon next year

LackaDAISYcal · 18/08/2008 19:14

hey andie, sorry about the shoite weather and not being able to make it to yours . I was going to email you later as I wasn't sure whether you would be online this evening or not.

oops Dd has just pinged her fingers on an elastic band....gotta go.

Bumperlicious · 18/08/2008 19:19

Hello all

Sorry I've been away so long, been mega busy which makes a nice change, though I have been semi-lurking. Now DH and I are on leave. We've been to see relies on the east coast this weekend (got some lovely pics of DD running - yes running! - around the beach in the nuddy!). Now we have come to stay at my mum's friend's (empty) house. DD was fab this weekend, even when confronted by 30 odd relatives on saturday. It does help when there are 2 of you. Usually it's just me who takes her away and it's exhausting. Just managed to avert a sudocreme crisis earlier...

Daisy, I'm so sorry you are feeling shit. How awful for you and that the MWs aren't being a bit more concerned.

As for the meet-up, well, we are kind of in the area but if it's not going to be many of us I'm inclined to take a rain check, just because it's a day out our precious holiday time (plus a day where I have to deal with DD by myself instead of with DH's help and we aren't seeing much of each other at the moment). But I am happy to see what everyone else thinks.

Fury, sorry DS isn't well, poor lad. Hope you are ok. Good news about DH's job. Did you ever hear about your green card?

Holly, if it makes you feel any better I took 4 driving tests! I put my lack of visuo-spatial ability down to my overwhelming academic prowess . Tis really shit though and I cried every time .

JBM haven't had a chance to look at your rock yet but congrats again!

Hey everyone else, hope you are all doing ok.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2008 19:26

Welcome back Bumper and Andiem. for crappy Devon weather though.

Phew Bumper, I thought it was just me who took loads of tests - I took 5 and cried each time I failed. I failed on the blardy reverse park every time, and now I can virtually do them with my eyes closed.

I'm happy to meet anywhere as well. Otherwise, Holly, if you can't persuade DP and can come on Friday with him instead, maybe you could meet andiem and i at Wisley gardens which is just off the A3/M25 junction while Dh takes the boys home. (Andiem, I'm assuming that we are still going?)
