you too trace . chloe is so lovely and happy and smiley. she is definately one of life's fighters. DS hasn't stopped talking about your two all afternoon! They way he told it to DH, he and your DS are new best friends

If you are up for Cannon Hall in the last week of the hols let me know. It'd be nice to meet Phoenix as well if she can make it.

gotta get this madam to bed. she woke up when we got home so has only had a half hour nap today.

Well DH has gone away for the weekend, and my digestive system has gone to pot again! I just a very urgent and messy trip to the loo (sorry, TMI) He is only in London, so if it it is too bad I can ring him to come home early tomorrow instead of staying out until Sunday afternoon, but I'd hate to do that to him.

The bruising came out on poor Jamlet's eye today, she has a right shiner But she didn't seem bothered. But I have taken the word from the wise and gone out and bought some arnica cream, because something tells me that sooner or later there'll be more bumps and bruises around the corner.

trace2 · 15/08/2008 20:10

daisy same here, they go on pretty well didnt when hey finaly got talking lol,and yes your dh should come to, chloe as had an hour all day and still fighting it

LackaDAISYcal · 15/08/2008 20:37

Is anyone else crying over Well'ard in Eastenders, or is it just my hormones? poor doggy.

trace, the slug incident is forgotten

sorry your innards are still dodgy jammy, and I hope the weekend isn't too hard for you on your own. Just lie on the sofa watching films and letting the jamlet wreck the sitting room. DH can tidy it all up when he gets back

my boys are still out fishing. DD and I went with them and I drove, hoping DD would sleep...fat chance; she spent her time trying to escape from the buggy and trying to throw herself in the canal . We came back and the boys said they'd get a taxi home. They called to say they were on their way and could I order a (well two) pizza for them. I had already stopped at the chinese as it was late and I couldn't be bothered. so DH's really cheap fishing trip out has cost a tenner for chinese, seven quid for the taxi and eighteen for the pizza. farking hell . But DS caught four fish all by himself so it was worth it all for that

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/08/2008 20:42

Ouch at the expenses Daisy, but yay for the fish! Glad your boys had a good time.

Feeling better now I've had some immodium (well Tesco's equivalent). Another day with no real food though. I managed to miss lunch somehow as wasn't hungry and was a bit hungry just now so had a clice of bread. Hopefully I might lose a little weight with all this illness ? There has to be some silver lining surely? Wedding reception to go to in a few weeks, would love to have lost a bit by then.

trace2 · 15/08/2008 20:45

trace2 · 15/08/2008 20:50

hi jammy yes i wish i was coming to i dare no drive to london am working on dh to drive me there and him do some thing while we meet

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/08/2008 20:52

ok folks, I'm off to bed with my book. Don't think I'll be reading many pages before I fall asleep though.

trace2 · 15/08/2008 20:53

me to good night

LackaDAISYcal · 16/08/2008 12:21

after two days of wrestling with my shitty little buggy (it has suspension at the front but all that happens is it bogs down and I can't get the fecker to move) over different ground surfaces over the last two days and feeling quite a bit of strain in my tummy muscles, I bent over this morning to lecture DS, after racing upstairs after him, and something went cruuuuuuunch at the top of my bump

I have either pulled a muscle or done something to the ligament and it fucking hurts. Can't stand or sit without help or move my upper body in any way. Everytime virgil wriggles I let out a yelp and I'm feeling very sorry for myself as i have a bit of a cough and can't clear it as it's too bloody sore.

AN unit say rest, have a bath (erm how can I get in and out of it ) and take some paracetomol and see CMW if still bad on Monday.

And I'll miss my friends BBQ this afternoon as well

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/08/2008 13:30

Aw Daisy, that's pants!

LackaDAISYcal · 16/08/2008 13:43

hey jammy; how are you feeling today?

I am wondering whether I'll be OK to drive on Wednesday. I don't want to miss meeting all you guys, but not sure a five hour car journey then traipsing around Londinium will do me any favours.

DH said I'll do anything rather than put the laundry away.

I'm bored.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/08/2008 13:56

I'm Ok thanks Daisy. Had some indigestion, but no rushing to the loo. Went out shopping with the jamlet this morning, got her some stacking/nesting cups, a thing that clacks noisily when you shake it (she was impressed!), a book and a tshirt. Lucky girl! And me? Zilch! I've got a credit card bill to pay.

Be sad if you can't come down to London, but don't make yourself any worse. Perhaps see how you go over the next couple of days?

trace2 · 16/08/2008 14:20

aww daisy hope you feel better to go to london, as i said wish i was coming to

dont know what happened there dd not good today was going to party with her but dont look likewe can go i feel awful for not going

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/08/2008 19:19

As compensation for being on my own all weekend, I had promised myself a take away tonight. Just realised though that I forgot to go to the bank and our local chinese doesn't take cards. So I've had to very carefully order to within what I had left in my purse, which makes quite a pathetic order - especially to get delivered, which of course I've had to do because I can't really go out despite it being about a 2 minute walk. They'll be laughing at me I bet, but at least it's an easy order for them

LackaDAISYcal · 16/08/2008 19:22

hi jammy.

saw you on the other thread. We have one of these which I got on ebay for about £15 NWOT. We got it because it's much heavier than the regatta one......like a waterproof coat vs a showerproof cagoule. Every toddler should have one!

I also noticed that Next are selling wellies from size 3 upwards.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/08/2008 19:32

Hi Daisy.

I feel a little bit alpha mummy (though probably not so-deserving). I took jamlet out shopping this morning, and managed to put up with her grizzling crying half the way home on the bus because she was tired and hungry without giving her too many sugary yoghurt coated raisins as a pacifier; I played with her most of the afternoon, yet let her have some "independent time" too (while I checked MN ); I cooked her a healthy tea (and got 4 portions over for the freezer; we had half an hour out in the garden where we rolled and tickled and found ladybirds in the grass and watched butterflies fluttering about; I've prepared some cooked spaghetti for some "messy play" tomorrow, and have got the swimming things ready for the morning; and I got her washed, teeth clean, and into bed without any tears, and she was asleep about 5 minutes after I left by the sound of it. Can I have a star please?

(And hats off to anyone who regularly does all of this on their own every day. I appreciate that I usually get help from DH, and shouldn't be so blinkin' smug.)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/08/2008 19:34

What is NWOT?

LackaDAISYcal · 16/08/2008 19:37

one star? That sounds like 5star parenting to me. Well Done you .

I have let DH do all the work today and sat in a corner chatting to people all afternoon. I trussed myself up and dosed myself with co-codamol and went to the BBQ. Still feel pretty grim though and in a lot of discomfort. I don't think I'm going to get a good sleep tonight.
