DD knows precisely what No means.....she says it all the time when she is doing something she shouldn't.

No-one here tonight? I've just popped in to check a quick question that I put on the health board earlier - I'm pretty sure that DD has a cavity. The dentist did tell me last time I went that she had soft enamel, and I've been trying really hard to brush her teeth well, limit sweets, etc. She's not even 3 ffs. I feel pretty dreadful about it.

Anyway, am off again. We are going to a wedding tomorrow so are staying with my parents for a few days. Need to sleep as DS is still doing his long nightime wake-ups, unfortunately. Hope all are well and i'll catch up at the weekend. Byeeeeeeeee

foxythesnowfox · 13/08/2008 21:14

Sometimes their teeth can just have weak spots Fairy. Sorry to hear about it, but if you do have to have it filled once its done it will be sorted. Things like dried fruit can cause them because of the high sugar content.

I'm off to bed too. If I go now I might get 3 hours before LO wakes up again. She's a bit out of sorts and vommed at teatime. But she has been given aniseed flavoured medicene FFS, so its no wonder. Poor mite has to take it until Dec. Aniseed? For baby medicene. FFS. Now I'll never get her to take it.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/08/2008 21:26

Aniseed flavour does seem odd, and a bit harsh. I wouldn't like to have aniseed flavoured stuff.

Jamlet was howling late afternoon after her dinner, and when i checked her nappy, she'd had the 3rd stinky poop of the day and her bott was bright red . Bloody teething! Poor thing I cleaned her up and slathered on some cream and she was a bit better tempered, but still just wanted to cuddle and suck my finger for comfort I'd already given her some calpol, so couldn't do much more then. Plenty more cream went on at bedtime and fingers crossed for the night. She settled quickly at least.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/08/2008 07:36

OK folks, one week from today we are meeting up, so can we hatch a definite plan please?

Sputnik · 14/08/2008 09:57

Baby Sputnik just ate 4 over ripe plums. I am awaiting the result with curiosity......

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 10:02

Well, I can be somewhere for 1pm. I will try to come up with some suggestions, though we have:

Eddie Catz in Putney
Kew Gardens
Richmond Park

I was being flippant when I said Wandsworth Common, but if it does work for anyone, add it on by all means. It has an overland station, I think from Clapham Junction/Victoria.

I think the weather just isn't reliable enough so will investigate some soft play places further SW. Infact, I will do that now.

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 10:03

Ewwww Baby Sputnik!

Postie brought me:

new Lakeland catelogue
a Hotel Chocolate Taster Box

now that is my idea of a good time.

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 10:17

Wimbledon Park
Barnes Wetlands Centre
Eddie Catz in Wimbledon
The Tropical Forest in Brentford
Dean City Farm

I thought we were going to Kew though. Was it discounted?

We really need Andiem and FairyFay for this I think. Me throwing up random places which no-one will know is no use to anyone!

Well of the places Foxy mentioned, Kew would be my favourite, but I can be persuaded otherwise, as long as there is some scope for keeping dry if we get foul weather.

Jamlet much better today. We had to pop into my work and then went to the children's centre where she was really happy and active and into everything. And that continued at home after her nap this afternoon

HellHathNoFury · 14/08/2008 18:14

ok so how about we say Kew if the weather is good, Eddie Katz if it's shit?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/08/2008 18:22

What and where is Eddie Katz?

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 18:54

Eddie Catz is in Putney (East Putney nearest overland I think). Its a soft play place. Actually the soft play is quite small, but there's OK for the little ones, quite a lot for the older ones, a cafe. Its OK, an you can stay as long as you want, not a 2 hour limit as with many.

Car parking is in the shopping centre opposite. Can't for the life of me think what its called - The Exchange perhaps? On the high street, anyway.

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 18:56

Kew would be my first choice too. Does it have indoor places if it showers?

LackaDAISYcal · 14/08/2008 19:23

I will go wherever we are herded to by andie. Kew if good weather would be nice though

had a lovely day with my MNer friend today and got lots of cuddles with her 5 week old baby.......am so looking forward to virgil's arrival now; I'd forgotten just how lovely ickle teeny babies are and how gorgeous they smell

foxy, you will be in shopping heaven if anywhere near Trafford; the centre is mahoosive with lots of nice shops, including selfridges, and across the road there is an all weather/indoor ski slope which looked fab. And, it took me less than an hour to get there; we will practically be neighbours

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/08/2008 19:40

Kew has the glass houses and claims it is good even on a wet day. I would be happy to go as long as it's not torrential

foxythesnowfox · 14/08/2008 20:40

Agree Jammy, as long as its cool for rampaging 6 yos!

We were thinking Chester at first, but will look at Trafford. In my head it will be similar to where we are now. Fairly central but not too central. Of course that is only in my head.

And how very exciting that I shall be able to pop in whenever it takes my fancy

Cor blimey, I've just done 30 mins wii-fit and my legs are shakey.

DKMA · 15/08/2008 12:50

Foxy - are you about?
Got some info on you about the borough of Trafford - where's good and where to avoid when looking for houses!
I've been asking some Manc friends of mine

trace2 · 15/08/2008 16:59
