CaptainDippy · 21/07/2008 21:41

Happy Anniversary for Fri before I forget Octo!

Absolutely PMSL @ oooggs saying that E chucks the Krispies at her face & hopes some go in" Exactly what P does too

Octothechildherder · 21/07/2008 21:54

Ernie is eating absolutely nothing at all - for about a week now - no sign of teeth or temp - so maybe ears - but I have to say he will eat choc and crisps!!! May need to brush up on parenting skills!

CaptainDippy · 21/07/2008 22:04

LOL - P is the same. but I am pretty sure it is teeth .....

Oooooh oooooh ooooh .... she actually has one now Did I mention that before!!!!!!!!!!!?

Night. x

oooggs · 21/07/2008 23:26

bugger!!!!!!!!

I fell asleep at 7.30pm and Erin woke me just after 10pm - she is still awake, has had calpol and milk & is still stropping and I am in fear of her waking Jack

oooggs · 21/07/2008 23:33

she has shut down

elkiedee · 21/07/2008 23:41

Half price Family Railcard offer here, worth having one even if your dcs are all under 5 and you ever use the train, as you still save money on most journeys - you can save more on your ticket than the cost of buying one for a toddler.

oooggs · 21/07/2008 23:43

will look into that elkie

bugger!!!!!!! she has started again

CaptainDippy · 22/07/2008 08:42

Thank you for that Elkie - my older 2 are always badgering me about going on the "proper big trains" (as opposed to the mini one at the adventure park)

Hope your night wasn't too bad in the end oooggs. xx

Morning all

mammyjo · 22/07/2008 08:45

Morning all

Oooggs, hope the night turned out ok in the end! F has been waking for milk at around 5am for the last week. I am not impressed, I need my sleep!!

Hi CD, how are you feeling today?

CaptainDippy · 22/07/2008 08:50

That's yuk MJ xx

I'm ok, still ill, DH & I still not great, still anxious about stuff; but I am here and I am ok enough. Off to take DDs 1 & 2 to end of year pre-school party (sob) so "see" you later ........

Sexonlegs · 22/07/2008 12:28

Hello

Nipping in whilst at work - which is v boring today.

Had a pants night here too. I woke up at 2 with my heart racing and a bit of a dodgy tummy. Lay awake for ages. K woke up at 3.45 crying her eyes out - assuming teeth. Gave her nurofen and she was crying on and off until about 5.30. B shouted out at 6.00 and then the alarm went off at 6.45.

I feel dizzy with tiredeness.

Started taking Yasmin (the pill) last night - do you think I could have reacted so quickly to it?

Dippy, I am sorry things are still rough for you. xx

MJ, that is pants indeed

runnyhabbit · 22/07/2008 12:56

Very quick as I'm work

Internet still down at home, but at least my brick mobile works So I can pester text MJ for coffee and cake

Take care all

(I'm really missing you)

mammyjo · 22/07/2008 15:34

Hey Runny, good to see you!!

I am stressed, just having one of those I can't cope days. F had her pneumococcal jab earlier on and I decided to take the dc's to the beach following this. Ds wanted to take his scooter to go along the prom - no problem, put it in the boot.
When we got there I couldn't open the bloody scooter (it was folded down to go in the car boot). Cue stropping and shouting from ds, he kicked the pushchair too. I pretty much lost the plot and told him to get back in the car. I put F back in too, and put the buggy back in the boot. If I was a smacker, he would have got one today I can tell you. I felt that I was completely boiled and angry.

We came home after that, and I am very narked that I wasted money on the car park when we didn't stay! Why is it that some days I can just laugh these things off, and others I feel like I am about to explode.

mammyjo · 22/07/2008 15:36

Sorry, garbled post, just kind of blurted it out!

I have my interview tonight too at 11.30pm. Crap time, will be the first interview I have ever had where I am wearing my pyjamas! Bad timing too as I have to be up at 6am tomorrow to go to work. Oh well, typical.

Sexonlegs · 22/07/2008 16:15

Oh MJ. I hate those scenarios as you described. We have those regularly, and mostly I blow up. I hate those arsing fold-up scooters - nail breaking to open for God's sake!! Hope your day got better.

Good luck with the phone interview tonight - how exciting

Hi Runny, lovely to see you.

She just seems to be under the weather all the time

Pisha · 22/07/2008 20:18

Hello!!!!!

Well I have skimmed through the thread I left and searched my name in the last thread but can find no clues as to what this thread title concerns I can tell you that I do indeed have a lovely tan as temp was up in 80s at least all week! I also have a couple of bottles of wine, some Tia Maria (J's friend wanted some and it was buy 1 get 1 half price on the ferry so thought he can full price 1 and I'll have the half price 1!), some brie and pate, lots of chocolate, possibly an extra half stone and a rather nice bottle of local liquer from St Cirque Lapopie but thats it Well that and 4 3 very over tired children who've been staying up till 11pm most nights and then sleeping in the day so not tired again the next night!

Holiday was absolutely fab, weather was glorious, we all did loads of swimming in the pool, went to some amazing towns, nice picnics, and Le foret de Singes wghere the monkeys wander freeely and eat popcorn from your hands! Although obviously vast amounts of popcorn because you have to get right up to them to for them to take it, if they have to reach at all they wont bother!! DC really loved it, all 3 of them would have happily spent the whole week in the pool! Although it seemed to have a lot of chlorine in it which irritated D's ezcema so we tried to limit his time but there was a paddling pool too that kept him happy.

BIL and SIl were fine for most of the week until the last 2 days (may go into that more later!) but generally fine as were rest of ILs.

Completely knackered now though after lots of drunken late nights and early mornings. Left Cahors at 10am yesterday and got to Caen at 10.30pm last night A combination of lack of funds and wanting to see some of France on our last day led to us programming the Sat Nav to avoid all motorways and toll roads and taking The Scenic Route. Which would have been fine had we not hit Tours at roush hour while it seems to be in the middle of a complete over work of all its roundabouts and junctions That and the small bladders and large tummys of my children!!

Anyway off to load holiday pics onto computer now!

Can anyone give me a brief run down of what I've missed please. And by that I mean on this thread, mumsnet on the whole, throughout England, anything major in BB (was only half following before I left when bored!), Eastenders (set sky+ to record it but then J unplugged it before we left!) and life in general!! I've not picked up a paper or watched telly or listened to radio all week (despite the house having English sky and J's grandparents watching it regularly I refused to have any contact with English life!).

And apologies for my spelling and general crappiness of this post but I am very tired!

oooggs · 22/07/2008 20:23
