April 2007 - With the holidays upon us it'll be wild sleeping bag antics abound! Speaking of which, anyone care to take bets on whether Pesha's coming back from hols with more than a suntan .....

OMG MJ (and SOL) i could've written that about my dh and I. We had a chat on wed evening(well early morning). Maybe it's just life with small children. The mundane blahness that comes with it I love my children but I yearn for what other people seem to have which is a close relationship with dh. I said to him that all we do is houseshare he said that he thinks all he does is go to work, come home put dd to bed(he doesn't get a chance to put ds to bed as dd demands daddy) then we do our own thing as we're so tired/pissed off from our days. In a weird way it's nice to hear on here that we are not alone.

I'm feeling like absoulute crp today I have the biggest lump in my throat. feels like a rather large apple and i have slept for England. I went to bed at 8 last night slept til 6.30 when small people decided to get up. then i kept napping on the sofa and eventually at 9 had to wake dh up and went back to bed til 12 I felt all cold last night and was only better when wrapped tightly in my duvet. bleughhh. really hope it goes asap as dh back to work tomorrow and it's holidays so no respite from dd's demands

StealthPolarBear · 20/07/2008 16:22

oh no Eddas, hope you're feeling better soon
SOL, pics of dirty nappy contents are in an email to you as usual Glad K seems better!
About to post in health as T's rash has spread

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/07/2008 18:17

Evening all

Absolutely whacked here. Took the boys out on bikes today, J goes in the trailer. Journey home ended up in a typical M melodrama meaning that I had to take both of them in the trailer. OMG my legs are going to hurt tomorrow morning!

Taking some time off work this week and going wandering for a few days though so should give me time to recover a bit. Skott and his gf are babysitting for the week

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/07/2008 18:18

I'm feeling very lucky, M has always had a very good immune system and J afetr a few dodgy months when he first started nursery seems to be the same (although both have had 3 days in hospital when babies with suspected meningitus, both in December too!)

Really hoping that K and T are better soon

Evening all

Eddas, it really helps coming here and realising that others are going through the exact same thing doesn't it. Things are better between dh and I, partly due I think, to the fact that I have got my concerns out in the open. Weight off my shoulders type thing Hope you are ok now too xxx

SPB, what is happening with T now? Hope you are ok, couldn't find your rash thread to read.

SOL, hope K is better this evening xxx

POTC, eek to sore legs tomorrow, but I am very very of your babysitters and child free time!

oooggs · 20/07/2008 19:42

weird how different things effect different people, dh and I had a great relationship until ds1 was born then it went pear shaped, I eventually went on ads, I kept thinking of leaving them both, then things got better and I was pregnant with dts and now it is stronger than it has ever been

hope you feel better soon eddas and that mj & sol get things back on a nice even keel

ellie of child free time

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/07/2008 19:44

ah, but I've not had a night off for 4 weeks now thanks to twunt Justin. I know I'm lucky to get nights off but it is bloody hard work when you can't ever switch off and let someone else do the running for 10 mins!

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 20/07/2008 19:54

Awww, POTC - you soppy thing You must be exhausted. I had so much admiration & respect for you as a single mum. I couldn't do it. You do a sterling job girl. xx

mammyjo · 20/07/2008 19:56

Hey Cd, how was the hen night?

oooggs · 20/07/2008 19:56

ellie - hats off to you, I may have one extra but dh is 'sometimes' here

mammyjo · 20/07/2008 19:57

Nights off are an essential are far as I am concerned. There should be more of them!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/07/2008 20:01

Some of it was my choice to be fair, I took M down to stay with Pesha which meant I didn't get a night off, or at least, I did (marines, ahem!) but had to do bedtime and be alert in the morning!

Since then J has been with me every night.

And now I'm fixing emergency J-care so I don't have to miss out on my night with Eddas (unless her dh is feeling obliging ....)

I want to go out with pillock and eddas! Why do I have to live so far away?!

oooggs · 20/07/2008 20:12

I want to go aswell and I can be very useful as making all my friends look super slim

Sexonlegs · 20/07/2008 20:14

Evening

I want to go out tooooo [stamps feet childishly]

It is fab to come on here and know that you are not alone in certain situations. MN is really fab for that. Glad you and dh are ok MJ xx

So Oooggs, we all need to fall pg with dt's then eh???!!!

POTC, I don't know how you cope either. You are a star

SPB, how is T. I never got your email

Dooby, how are you my love?

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I have had a fab day meeting up with my brother and his family. It was as if we had only seen each other last week
K was not on good form which was a real shame. I think it must be teeth, as her nappies have been a bit loose - sorry for tmi, but you know me....

elkiedee · 20/07/2008 20:21

Eeeewwww at the idea of sending each other pics of LOs' nappies.

Bramshott · 20/07/2008 20:37

Bookmarking, rushing, shovelling gravel, drinking wine, sitting down (finally). Back tomorrow.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sexonlegs · 20/07/2008 21:28

Blimey Bramshott, you sound manic!!

Right, am off to bed soon, as am shattered. Have just been a nerd and done a spreadsheet for the summer holidays! I need a life!!!

It is the only way I can manage the time and all the ruddy meals I am going to have to shop for and cook.

The summer hols are too long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Righ t, hope everyone is ok. See you tomorrow at some point. xx

StealthPolarBear · 20/07/2008 22:16

It must have been stopped by your poo filter
night all xx

Eddas · 21/07/2008 07:32

so is everyone coming to my house on friday night The more the merrier.

I'm feeling better today, not 100% but much better. I pretty much lay on the sofa all day and dh dealt with dc.

So it's day one of the school holidays, alone, I have no plans. I have told dd that I want to take it easy as I still don't feel great. So what time will she start whinging

Ooo did i tell you all that i got a bargain trmpoline the other day? The one which is about 1.5m and has a net, £25 in Tesco sale bargain! They love it!

Oh and I also went to the Next sale on Sat and spent far too much money, although some of it is going back. And no I wasn't up at 5am to go

StealthPolarBear · 21/07/2008 08:56
