Glad to hear you're doing OK JBM....and sorry if I've been a bit insensitive

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 21:34

jbm...glad you are feeling OK . Just keep an eye on that bleeding incase everything hasn't come away though and it;s that rather than a period. your holiday snaps are fab..DD looks like she had a great time

(and my AF came back when DD was only 9 weeks inspite of exclusive BFing )

Just had an email from lollipop nappies; the people who only sent one of each type. Obviously some testers have complained to Jeessica as the email says another four of each type are on their way

My flexitots and cottontails will be arriving tomorrow

hi mhc....how are the chooks?

justRia · 07/07/2008 22:16

Hi again. Hi JBM, glad you are ok.

We are thinking of gettng baggins a trike like those (probablythe smart trike from Argos) with his birthday money. I think we have a swing seat in our garage or DFs.

congratulations norty, I forgot before

I'm a bit peckish. Old habits are hard to break.

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 22:22

Does anyone recognise too much of themselves in Grumpy Old Women. It would be funny if it wasn't so desperately "me"

Bumperlicious · 07/07/2008 22:25

Hi all

JBM DD got this one for her birthday, along with a pink and purple basket to make it a bit more girly! She loves it!

Going to bed now, I'm sleeping on the sofa as DH will be up all night

Holly very of all your testing. So gutted about the M&B buggies. I could have really done with the money from them.

Anyway, night all. Sorry I am so sporadic ATM, I am lurking though

justRia · 07/07/2008 23:39

Just popping in to moan. Am feeling really flat tonight. Probably tiredness and should be in bed...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 07:54

Morning all!

Daisy, I recognise myself in Grumpy Old Women a hell of a lot! I love it! I'm clearly an old woman at heart ! Glad Lollipop are sending more nappies through. It did seem a little odd that they only sent you one. Hope the others arrive today, bet you are excited! I heart new fluffy fluff! Make sure you take pics off dd in them!

I'm doing travel systems for Practical Parenting and I don't even remember registering with them! I have trawled their site and there is nothing on there about testers or even anywhere to register. Maybe they got my name from somewhere else? I haven't a clue.

JBM, glad you are feeling ok, look after yourself. I still haven't had AF return yet, but I am still bfing ds every 3-4 hours day and night, so that is probably why!

Bumper, hope dh is ok and hope you got a good sleep ria x

Ria, hope you are more cheery today and sorry I didn't see your message last night; I was up till after 12 so we could have had a bit of a chat!

LOL holly, so do you hoarde old wrapping paper and bits of string and ribbon. The nice stuff goes into my card making box....only I never seem to have the time or inclination to make cards (another business pipe dream of mine)

lol at the chicks in the shower mhc.....and this is odd how????? you could have just pretended that the rubber ducks had come to life

yay for fluff. I so desperately want to get this business off the ground, but not sure I can while still on maternity leave (unless of course I neglect to tell the IR.....but that would be madness as they always catch up with you ime)

just had a delivery of full sized Johnson's baby bedtime range......bath, wash, lotion and oil. I heart this testing lark

eeew stinky baby...back in a mo

LittleMissNorty · 08/07/2008 10:13

Oh that baby bedtime range is lovely....we use that.....the talc is gorgeous

justRia · 08/07/2008 10:14

Morning all. Am still a bit self-pityish. Should be cleaning the conservatory trying to find the glasses lens before DS1s eye test tonight. Can't be bothered. DH has gone out to do a buffet which I'm very surprised at as he can't do anything helpful at home If I have to listen to him moan all afternoon I may add to his pain.

5p listing on ebay today. That'll be another late night for me if I get organised with the camera. Stuff has to go...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 10:21

Yes daisy, I do ! I hoarde everything though...pens, paper, ribbons, elastic bands etc. I am of the opinion that everything will come in useful one day! Maybe that's why my house is so full of shit!

MHC, I have found myself an Eglu! Hurrah! I am probably going to buy it next week. It is pink and everything! It is a rabbit one, but they sell conversion kits on the Eglu website, which is some slatting for the base and a perch. I can make that myself with some old bits of wood! I am very excited! I can't wait to get some chooks, I want a cream legbar and a Faverolle!

I am sat here ebaying in my dressing gown ! It's 5p listing day today, so get selling!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 10:22

x-post rai! What are you listing?

Hi norty.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 10:24

rai ria!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 10:39

What another horrible, shitty day! If this carries on I'm doing an annobal and heading down under!

Crap...just took my ds's nappy off and he's run away and pissed up one of the boxes with a test highchair in it! Oops!

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 10:53

ooooh...need to get my big pram on then. Thanks for the heads up holly.

i just typed a long post and then Dd pressed something and the screen refreshed and if I go bak it's not there....f*** knows what she has done.

That nappy was horrible. I got popper bambinex (pregnant brain not thinking straight) and although they are a nice snug fit around the waist, they sort of danlge loosely between her legs....not nice on the poo explosion! so, I've folded the front down and used a nappy nippa....and I've had to use a fuzzi bunz as a wrap as my bambinex ones are dirty!

and used the Lidl nappies last night....fantastic overnight, no leaks or anything and they are about 25% cheaper than sainsbury's own brand for 6 more nappies as well. they have a faint whiff of pampers about them, especially first thing in the morning!

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 10:54

Jonhnson's baby bedtime lotion is making me sneeze

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 11:01

I tested the Aldi nappies a while ago daisy and they were fab. No leakage and super cheap. I'm going to buy a pack of disps as soon as we get some nice weather so I can wash all the nappies together a few times without detergent. They are starting to smell a bit!

Testing is great fun...until you have to write the reviews! Then it's dullsville !

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 11:06

I try not to use Johnsons because of all the random chemicals in it, so I bought some of this. It smells divine and has no nasties in, but dd got some in her eyes yesterday and she went mental. It must have really hurt because she was screaming and now she won't let that bottle anywhere near her!

I love Horns n Halos, no nasties and kind to eyes!

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 11:08

I'm writing notes on the nappies as I go along holly......

having a feeding quandry at the minute. I've been giving DD follow on milk at bedtime, but farley's have discontinued their milk, rebranded it, bunged in some dodgy artificially derived ingredients and hiked the price by 50 farking % , so my theory that they were one of the more ethical brands has gone out of the window. HV says she should be on cow's milk now, but part of me, for some reason, thinks she still needs formula at bedtime to help her sleep better and to make up for her sporadic eating throughout the day. Am very pissed off with Heinz though and really don't want to fork out nearly £8 when it used to cost a fiver.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 11:09

I'm getting some horns'n'halos to test
and some organic baby wipes which should be interesting.

annobaldownunder · 08/07/2008 11:11

Hey! My ears were burning

Wouldn't want to come here as the weather is also shite - it has rained all day! I even hung some washing out in a burst of optimism but it wasn't to be...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 11:13

That's shit daisy. Of all the formula manufacturers I will only buy Heinz products (only because we couldn't live without Heinz beans, ketchup or salad cream)! I wish I didn't have to buy their products, but the unbranded ones taste like crap!

Have to go now, dd wants to watch Charlie and Lola on the computer! Bye!
