DH has been asked to be Governor for SEN. must be a job no-one else wants.

Baggins has got nasty evil nappy rash.

Good luck with your scan norty.

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/07/2008 11:27

Good luck with your scan Norty

Ria, that sounds like an interesting job. It sounds like you did a great job with DS's costume, especially given the time you had to do it in!

Really horrid, cold and wet here today. Both DCs were up in the night - 10 until 1 for DS and 1 until 2:30 for DD and they have both woken up with colds. I've even put the heating on for an hour - it's July ffs.

ria the costume sounds fab am loving the fake boob idea

hi mhc

justRia · 07/07/2008 14:00

hi everyone. Just checking in as back from work and DH is STILL out (why do his 2 hour interviews never produce a job worth having?)

I could do to NOT make costumes and stuff and tidy my house. I am at a loss today as to where all the mess comes from. I didn't think I was really that idle. I have to move all the furniture in the conservatory to day too as DS1s glasses lens fell out yesterday when he was sword-fighting with DS2 and apparently it has vanished. Another flaming task I could do without.

Better get on with it I suppose!

andiem · 07/07/2008 14:57

my isofix car seats are arriving 3 have arrived today have to test 6 by next monday

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 15:19

bloody hell andie, they don't give you a lot of time do they?

hope the scan went well Norty.....

Went To Lidl for my shopping today, and spent just over £39. Just been on sainsbury's website and a comparative shop using their own brand stuff would have cost £52.....that's an increase of 33%. didn't get everything I needed, but was surprised to see a lot of branded stuff there (lurpak, nestle gold blend, tropicana to name a few), but the branded stuff was the same price as JS)

I'm still waiting on two types of nappies (cottontails and flexitots) and pretty much all of the toiletries I need to test. They are all supposed to arrive today, but cottontails did change it to tomorrow so that's ok. not sure what's happened to the flexitots and I can't remember if they have even contacted me.

Modern baby are being quite impressive so far. We had a bit of a leak this morning, but I had forgotten to tkae a nappy swimming so had to put on the already wet one, and given that she swallows half the pool, we were lucky to just have a little danp patch on her trousers.

The SEN stuff sounds good Ria.....could this lead to a future job as a teaching assistant?

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 15:20

oh, and fairy, I hope the DCs are both feeling a little better

DD is being a bit cranky butI think it's her teeth as she has been a bit dribbly.

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2008 15:22

Afternoon

Thank-you for your good wishes. I can report there is only one baby [phew] with a heartbeat [phew] and am 9+1 today

daisy those nappies are really intriging me.. you'll have to keep me updated. they fit from birth to potty right? hows the drying time, and how do they fit together?

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 07/07/2008 16:44

great news Norty

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 18:09

hi natty...they are a bit like the smart nappy I suppose in that there is a waterproof outer bit, which is lovely and soft and downy, and then two inner bits that popper in position and you can either use the little one for a newborn, then the bigger one and then both together. there is also a separate nightitme booster that wraps around the inner bits. they are pretty dear though...£15 each , but the multipack looks to be good value as you get 10 nappoes, a storage bag, a few night boosters liners etc for £123. A bit more info and a review HERE

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 18:17

andie...I'll bring my own bread and pasta and cereal with me......I'm used to trailing food all over the place . And it;s only me, the kids are normal. I'll email/facebook you about the trip soon; been meaning to do it for ages!

Norty...I missed your post . congratulations . Have they given you a date then?
