Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 13:17

just got a box of goodies from halos'n'horns (it all smells good enough to eat)......including toothpaste, which I wont use because a) it's strawberry flavoured and i think they need to use mint from the start to get them used to it and b) it's only 525ppm flouride and we use either full strength or 1000ppm (due to years of it being ingrained in Scotland to help get the appaling dental health record improved)

so, if anyone wants some strawberry flavoured toothpaste...it's yours

PMSL at your DH DKMA

Right, off for DDs MMR

We've not heard from tallulah for a bit....I hope she is OK

or BZ for that matter

and there are others as well....come back to the fold; we miss you all

justRia · 08/07/2008 14:36

I couldn't find any Halos&Horns stuff here fury. I was giong to give it a go after you said how it had cleared up your DSs skin.

LOL DKMA, my DH is just like that. It is a miracle they live so long.

Hi annobal & JBM. & jammy & bumper.

Aargh - I want to eat.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 14:44

Well...MMR done, and they sneaked in a pnuemoccocol booster as well. DD remembered the needles from her boosters a months ago as she started whimpering when she saw tham lying on the table

she screamed and screamed but seems alright now, although I don't think she'll forget that nurse in a hurry. the nurse was very impressed with her bumgenius nappy!

Annobal they were Greenkids. I had a problem with a couple of mine and they had to go back, but the other one I have is just fine.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 15:02

just got the cottontail nappies delivered.....very swanky cotton velour which feels lovely and soft. The adjustment from birth to potty is.....novel to say the least, as you can adjust the width between the legs of them as well as the rise and waist fitting. Looking forward to using them, as the leaflet says they are prewashed and ready to go!

I heart testing

just waiting on the flexitots and the other lollipop ones and a few bits of toiletries.

oops....I've forgotten about DS

Back after bedtime as I'm on a promise to him not to MN between school pick up and his bedtime

justRia · 08/07/2008 15:08

Good luck daisy!

I'm bored.

justRia · 08/07/2008 17:56

DH is a twunt and I hope he gets a paper cut.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/07/2008 18:06

What's he done now Ria?

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 19:43

Evening all. Well I did it, I did MN cold turkey from 3 till 7:30

What's DH up to now Ria?

HellHathNoFury · 08/07/2008 20:08

Ria, what's DH done?
I have just been perusing your FB profile.

Apparently you can get Halos'n'horns from Asda and superdrug. I get mine from costco. It really is v good, DS has eczema on his legs and as soon as we came off johnsons and boots own brand and went on to Halos'n'horns it all cleared up straight away.

DS and I have been having a battle of wills lately. If he keeps it up he is going to be an only child. Perhaps that is his plan.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 20:08

MMR hasn't affected DD too much. She ate a huge amount for tea and then had a 7oz bottle as well and completely terrorised DS and the cat. She was a bit grumpy though but a new tooth popped through today so that's what that was about!

DS has his first wobbly tooth. He is very at the thought of pennies from the tooth fairy. I am that my baby is getting all grown up

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 20:09

It all smells deeeelish fury.....

ooops not allowed to mention any more

HellHathNoFury · 08/07/2008 20:24

love it

Bumperlicious · 08/07/2008 20:33

DD is no. 453 in the 2000s!

Bumperlicious · 08/07/2008 20:34

How you feeling fury?

HellHathNoFury · 08/07/2008 20:42

I'm ok. Poor. Just paid out £5000 for my season ticket, which smarted a bit.

The stresses are slowly easing away but it's hard work to actually MAKE myself relax and identify why I am anxious and help myself work away from it. I am not finding it easy, esp as DS is being so very, very difficult lately and with working full time I never get any time to sort out my life...but I am getting there.

My mum is going to babysit saturday... it will be the first time we have been to the cinema in over a year. Good lord.

How are you? Is DH any better?

Bumperlicious · 08/07/2008 20:49

Yes he is thanks. Had a couple of slices of toast, but I expect I will be on the sofa again tonight as he has slept all day so not tired.

I'm you are taking things a bit easier. I wish I had some more advice for you. We are going to the cinema next week. What are you going to see?

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 20:50

DD was 91st in the 1880s....and 1st in the noughties. I didn't think it was that popular, she is the only one I know...apart from foxy's DD1

DS 983 in the 1880s.....and 39 in the noughties.

Some of the boy's names at the bottom of the 1880s list are decidedly female...julia, nora, orla anyone? right that DS2 sorted

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 20:53

enjoy your night out fury. the only times I've been to the cinema in the last few years have been to see Disney/Pixar/Lucasfilm efforts aimed at little people.

bumper glad DH is feeling a bit better, but surely if he has been asleep all day it should be him on the sofa and you in the bed?

HellHathNoFury · 08/07/2008 20:53

Hancock I think. I want to see SATC but as it's for DH's b'day I guess he can choose!

I shrieked at DS today. And I don't feel guilty. He has been doing my head in for 2 weeks now. He refuses to eat anything except milk, as soon as he sees food he starts having a paddy. It can go on for over 45 minutes before I cave and stop trying to feed him.

So today I didn't cave and screamed back at him. Didn't work but made me feel much better. After an hour he calmed down enough to eat a pea.

Excellent.

HellHathNoFury · 08/07/2008 21:09

oh well, I am off to bed. Night all.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 21:33

oh, fury...that made me laugh, but I can inderstand your frustration. It'll pass, just take the food away and keep offereing him little and often. I've had to move the fruit bowl as DD takes two mouthfuls of her meal, then points and shouts NaNa (applies to all fruit, but satsumas in particular).

I also shrieked at her today after she paddled in the cat food and water then emptied the spice drawer for the 10th fucking time today. she smells like a farking pet shop and one of these days she will get the chilli flakes open and IT..WILL..HURT.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/07/2008 21:46

Evening all.
Bumper, glad DH is on the mend.
Fury, hope you enjoy the pictures. We might be seeing Prince Caspian on Sat afternoon leaving the Jamlet with my in-laws. We're visiting them up in Cumbria this weekend, going on Thursday.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 08/07/2008 21:47

Gay! I just wrote a really long post about my ds not eating either and firefox crashed and I lost it! All I wanted to say was fury you have my sympathy, my ds is a PITA with food too!

I am famous! Ds and I are in M&B mag this month! I've scanned the pages in here. It's a load of bolleux though, I didn't even say half that stuff about the travel systems. The one that won I thought was shit! It was really nasty and tacky!

Both my dcs are in that list! Ds is 2nd and dd is 10th. They are both really old fashioned names though, that's probably why. Good thing is dp was looking over my shoulder when I was reading it and we have decided if we ever do have another baby (not bloody likely) and it's a girl we are going to call her Florence or Martha!

Bumper, glad dh is better. Poor love!

Daisy, hope the cottontails are going well !!

justRia · 08/07/2008 21:50

amusing link DS1 & his cousin found.

DH humphed because I a) pointed out he hadn't eaten his tea which I had cooked because he was reading his fecking book, b)asked him to sit with the kids while they finished their tea - he could read his fecking book while doing it, and I "commented".

Hi fury. My FB profile is pretty boring.

justRia · 08/07/2008 21:51

oops, try this
