lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 18:49

poor DH bumper. I hope you and DD avoid it!

And fingers crossed for the weather; it's looking really rainy down your way again this week.

How did I do that?

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 07/07/2008 19:06

daisy they sound great. whats the fit like? i find the smart nappies are now sliding down at the front and riding up at the back.. she looks like an ant.. very annoying as normal clothes dont fit because of that so she lives in 12-18 dresses and babygrows now lol.

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 19:11

natty the fit is really good, wiht just the big insert in them they are as slim fitting as a disposable. DH didn't even realise she was in a real nappy until he went to change her. They are quite low rise so I don't think they'd be great for long skinny babies. they popper down really small as well and have cross over tabs so i think they would be great on a newborn......I just need to find a newborn to test them on before November. We were going to sell them, but i think these are staying in my stash. They will be good for the MIL who is deliberately obtuse clueless where real nappies are concerned.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 07/07/2008 19:14

lol.. mines the same.
hmm.. dont know what to do about ellen, the low rise thing is annoying me. they still function fine, it just bugs me that they are so far up her back.. grrr

OP posts:
NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 07/07/2008 19:16

you will have to let me know how they do for a new born.
the cradle bit poppers in then? any room for extra inserts in them?

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 19:42

they come with two inserts and the night booster is designed to go around the two inserts that you get....so bags of room. I will take some photos of DD and post them on FB

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/07/2008 19:43

Evening all. Had a lovely day out with my Dad and the Jamlet, but now my tummy is bad again . Not as bad as before, I think it's something different which DH had yesterday. He had a few toilet trips, had a nap, moaned a LOT, but was fine today. So I'm hoping this won't last long or be too serious. But I'm not having dinner (avoiding the lamb again at least ). Bumper, hope your DH is OK and the illness doesn't last long or spread to you & DD.

And congratulations Norty

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/07/2008 19:48

I can hear DH talking to my Dad while they eat in the other room - is quite funny listening to him trying to make polite conversation

justRia · 07/07/2008 20:06

Just saying Hi so I don't have to scroll down so far later when I finally get back.

Sorry for the poorly tummies Mr Bumper & Jammy.

Back later, little brats fighting again.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 07/07/2008 20:21

Congrats norty! Fab news! When is your EDD then? I've had 2 highchairs so far, the Mothercare one and the Bruin one. Bummer about the Nuna being a bit crappy though, I really like the look of it.

Daisy, those nappies sound like the Itti Bittis. They are absolutely fantastic. I have a standard and a D'lish and I love them. They are so trim and really thirsty. The D'lish will go all night with no extra boosting. I wish I'd have bought them from the beginning, but they are not all that hot with bum explosions!

Natty, hope you are ok today..

Jammy, get well soon!

Bumper, hope your dh is ok.

I am testing MORE travel systems!! I have got another Concord Neo, a Mothercare MY3, a Petite Star Zia4 and another arriving on Weds ! I can't keep up with all this testing! I need to get some sort of testing diary or a PA!

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2008 21:06

bloody hell Holly ....more!!!

My mothercare one came today and I can't collapse it on my own as my hands aren't big enough .....DD is wondering what the bloody hell is going on....every time she looks she's in a different highchair

EDD is 8th Feb ....got to go back for Nuchal in 3 weeks...it was a huge relief to see that heartbeat....hopefully (after Wednesday - got a big inspection at work), I will start to feel a bit better.

Hope you feel better soon Jammy - and Mr Bumper ...

justbeme · 07/07/2008 21:10

Evening!

Congrats Norty!! How are you feeling?

Hope you feel better soon Jammy.

Holly - who are you testing this lot for then?

Been shopping today - I havent bought L anything for her birthday. Wanted to get a baby swing seat -
I like the type like Little Tikes - but DP says he doesnt like high backed ones???? any views?

and have also been looking at trikes - Im not totally convinced that 1 is a good age for one -what do you think?

DKMA · 07/07/2008 21:15

JBM - Hi! Lo got a trike - very similar to that for his birthday last week and he loves it - laughs his head off in it all the time. DP has taken him to the pub in it twice (just down our lane) and it's great. The straps on the seat are a very good idea - they keep them in the seat whilst there is tonnes of room for them to grow into it!

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 21:17

jbm...that trike thing looks good to me...it's a parent propelled thing while they are wee, but a trike when they can reach the pedals. not a bad idea.

we had a swing for DS and he hated it so we haven't botheresd with DD. You can get some that have a high back chair for when they are little and then you can swap the unit to a standard swing seat when they are older. Not sure at one they need to have a very high backed one, but it certainly needs to be of the "baby" swing type of seat imo.

holly.....who are these for? and how the hell do you manage it?

justbeme · 07/07/2008 21:18

Hi DKMA! Do you know what make your one is?
What did you get E for his birthday?

lackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2008 21:18

oh, and holly, it's similar to the itty bitty nappy; same principle. Like blueberrys as well I think....either snap in AIOs or AITs (all-in-twos)

DKMA · 07/07/2008 21:19

this is the one he has JBM - one thing to note is that this one has a front mud gaurd (which DH forgot to put on at first) which is VERY useful if it is a bit wet outside and you don't want lo to get a face full of splash!!

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2008 21:23

Hi JBM....was thinking of you today....how are you doing?

We got K a swing for her birthday and she loves it.

DKMA · 07/07/2008 21:23

That meant to say 'guard' duhh!
We also got him this he loves the tunes it plays and always has a little dance to them = very cute.

My mum got him this which has been played with everyday since!

We got him a swing but the weather has been too crap to play on it much!

justbeme · 07/07/2008 21:27

Thanks DKMA!
Norty - Im ok - can't believe it was 4 weeks ago now - and Ive been bleeding since thursday but its not like a normal period - very light - would be great if it is a period and this is how they are going to be - ( i doubt it!!).

Dont understand how you other BF'ers are getting away with no Auntie Flo's tho!!

Be back later - when you've prob all gone to bed - Im watching Corrie that we taped earlier and DP is drumming his fingers waiting for me!!
