Peace has finally been restored

We called a truce Sat evening. Had a bit of chat, but nothing substantial, iykwim. On Sunday morning, I told him that my biggest "thing" was NOT how much I do, but the lack of appreciation. And that seemed to flick the switch
So we all went out Sunday, didn't argue (I got a very nice pair of jeans) and had a lovely roast when we came home.

Home now feels like a lovely place to be

runnyhabbit · 07/07/2008 18:26

Except dh is away tomorrow until Friday

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/07/2008 18:42

Dippy - I should be there, even leaving early so we can be there from the start x

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/07/2008 18:43

that's not really a kiss, just a typo

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/07/2008 19:11

now look, it is very unfair of you to leave it at the top of the thread for so long

J has his last few teeth coming through so is grizzling. Have dosed him up on the pink stuff and hoping he goes off soon.

I'm off to soak in the tub again (my legs ache even more today if that's possible!) and then sleep I think, still catching up

I have a challenge for you too ladies, but think it might have to go via email/msn/facebook as I want it kept away from prying eyes

oooggs · 07/07/2008 19:17

yes gm - probably - very lovely

Hi everyone
Happy birthday for Saturday Dippy, as I'm bound to forget!
lexi, you sound stressed, hope you're OK x
mammyjo, it's lovely to hear you sounding so positive
Hi everyone else - Eddas that all your work has gone to waste!

runnyhabbit · 07/07/2008 21:41

Evening all

W had has pneumonia/chest drain checkup today. X-ray showed a lovely clear chest and then the dr compared it to the original taken when he was poorly. Felt quite weird seeing it.

Anyhow, he's been discharged from respiratory, but the dr did detect a heart murmer(sp?), which has stunned us a little.

have started a thread here, in case anyone can give some advice

Doobydoo · 07/07/2008 21:47

Bloody hell Runny,I have no advice or experience but agree not looking on net always a good idea. However there may be some support groups out there,if you have questions for the consultant you should go and arrange a time when you can ask them.It is , I feel a good thing that they are relaxed about it but you and dh are prob going to have many questions over time.LOve to you and W.

runnyhabbit · 07/07/2008 22:04

He is going to be referred for an echothingy (ulatrsound of the heart) so it hasn't just been left, iyswim.
The staff have been fab, and I trust their judgement.
Its just something else to think about. As if I didn't have enough

off to bed
x

saggyhairyarse · 07/07/2008 22:06

OMG, I am losing it. Leo is on 3rd lot of antibiotics for a chest infection, that is his 6th lot since the New Year as he has had repeated ear infections. I am going maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

He is naturally very sweet neatured but is just miserable, poor thing. If this lot of antibiotics does not clear it up I am taking him to the childrens hospital.

So am sorry that I am not around these days, life is jsut hectic with the other two as well as Mr Cling-On....

WestCountryLass I think?

elkiedee · 07/07/2008 22:31

Poor Leo and W, hope Leo feels better soon. And Runny, this must be really scary. I read in an NHS booklet on tests in pregnancy and on babies that a lot of heart murmurs clear up very quickly with no further problems for baby.

saggyhairyarse · 08/07/2008 07:23

Yes, WCL, shows how sporadic my postings are, sorry!!!!!

oooggs · 08/07/2008 09:24

morning - dh on nights and last night was night from hell at home - he probably got more sleep than me

cazboldy · 08/07/2008 09:50

oh dear Oooggs

Runny - it must be very worrying for you, but there seems to be some very positive stories on your other thread - not least from NL xx take care xx

Bramshott · 08/07/2008 09:59

Poor W (and poor Runny and MrRunny). Hope you are feeling more settled about it soon. NL had some helpful advice on your other thread.

Ummmm, no brain, but really must go and do some work. Have just been making friends with my first ever boyfriend on Facebook .

Must be dedicated today, the end of term is in sight and with it the implosion of my carefully constructed childcare! N is so ready for the end of term though - she's exhausted and we've had a couple of full on screaming toddlet-style tantrums recently because of the tiredness. Mind you, it is nice to realise that she doesn't really do them any more (while O on the other hand . . . .!)

cazboldy · 08/07/2008 10:08

I amstill friends with my first ever boyfriend Bramshott He phones me with his women troubles!

He was my only boyfriend before dh, and my best friends brother

Bramshott · 08/07/2008 10:39

What Caz, you managed to fit in a boyfriend before your DH ?! My first boyfriend is now an accountant .

geordieminx · 08/07/2008 10:49

Sorry ECL/SHA....I didnt mean to offend you - I am so crap with remembering name changes.
