mammyjo · 06/07/2008 21:28

I thought so

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/07/2008 21:30

but f*@k my foot hurts!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/07/2008 21:32

and I am most annoyed that the blardy tennis staying on so late has meant the Silver Fox that is Martin Shaw won't be on til next week

Sexonlegs · 06/07/2008 21:54

I love tennis! Very much enjoyed seeing Nadal's shapely bum for so many hours

Ow to your foot POTC.

Fab news Ffion!

Bramshott, good luck tomorrow. Has that case been in the news, as it sounds vaguely familiar.

Hi GM.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/07/2008 22:09

yes, but it means I don't get to see the Shaw! have never looked to see if he has a shapely butt...

elkiedee · 06/07/2008 22:35

Congratulations to Ffion

I also forgot that to multiply cats by 4 for legs!

Can only plead tiredness, been a good day but soooo tired. dp's last weekend shift for a while hopefully so that's good - I had to get up at 6.15 but got to go back to bed until 9 and actually woke D up at 9.25 to take him swimming.

weeonion · 06/07/2008 23:16

good evening /night folks. i have been reading for an age to try and catch up but the skim didnt really sink in!

how are you all? and isnthis weather pants? where oh where is the sunshine????

C & I have been home i ireland for a few days for my wee sis's graduation. it was so so nice. C stayed with my wee bro while we were at the ceremony - 1st time apart from nursery that she has been left with anyone. they had a fab time and he now thinks she is top fun. they are so sweet togther. we are heading back to G'Go in the morning and i m dreading it. i feel so guilty as they all dote on her and miss her loads. i also know that she gets so much out of being here. she is a real chatterbox now - never stops babbling but seems to pick up new words every day. bum is the latest addition.

i will try and be on more often this week. 'Til then - take it easy folks. x

geordieminx · 07/07/2008 08:52

Hey ladies.

Another glorious day here.... NOT!!!

Havent got much planned for the week - possibly a wee MN meetup on Wednesday, but the rest of the week is going to be spent getting our arses into gear as we are off to a wedding on Saturday in the north east. Its only 2 nights away but still a mammouth expedition, sorting dp, c, the cat blah blah blah!!

Hey WO - pleased you had a lovely time back home - must get a coffee organised!

Morning everyone.

It chucked it down all weekend here and is miserable today. Consequently Dh & I are plotting a return to Australia (lived there for 2 years) but the soonest he can do a sabbatical is in 3 years. We reckon Sydney would be nice......the weather has got to be better at any rate.

Eddas · 07/07/2008 09:55

Isn't July supposed to be summer

It's peeing down here too the pre-school sports day is supposed to be tomorrow but the manager is cancelling as even if it's not raining tomorrow the ground'll be too wet. I've already made bloomin cakes and sorted the programmes Like I have time to waste

ho hum I guess

cazboldy · 07/07/2008 10:36

dh still hasn't spoken to his boss.......

I know it must be really hard, but I am losing patience, and he has got to stand up and face it!

Harry much better today, but still here at home

mammyjo · 07/07/2008 11:11

Morning

Not much to report here, normality is resuming after my 2 weeks off post surgery. Back to the treadmill of school runs, tesco shopping and general household boringness.
I know that sounds like a whinge, but it isn't. It feels very good to be back to some sort of regular routine, and be able to look after my children without being totally reliant on someone else

WO, fab to see you. I have worked out that you have/are getting a new job. I must have missed your post about it. Anyway, wanted to say lots of luck and enjoy the extra time with C!

NL, I love my Nigella book although I have never made the cake that you do. I have tried many other things though and they have all been delicious! Not a good diet book unfortunately

Oooggs/Elkie, hope you are not feeling too sick today. I am still waiting for my neighbour to have her baby, she is due any day. I keep waiting to hear a newborn cry in the middle of the night and feel glad that I don't have to get up to it!!! Makes me broody though, but definitely no more babies in this house (unless they are just visiting!).

Ffion is so cute today just pottering around. It feels good to be a mum again!

mammyjo · 07/07/2008 11:13

Caz, men will put off any difficult conversations for as long as possible! I think it is an inbuilt skill

cazboldy · 07/07/2008 11:19

Glad you are so much better MJ xx

CaptainDippy · 07/07/2008 11:40

Oh and when is your birthday CD??

elkiedee · 07/07/2008 16:18

It's not nice in London, perhaps Maveta has nice weather?

Dippy, is your birthday this week some time? And is there another one coming up soon.

I've just been very sick, I want to go home and lie down, and I'm feeling really sorry for myself.

Sexonlegs · 07/07/2008 17:03

Hello

Poor Elkie. Really hope this phase passes soon. x

MJ, so glad you are sounding so happy

WO, lovely to see you - and GM and Liath - must be the weather... the rain has brought all the Scottish mummies out!

Oh Caz, hope your dh pulls his finger out. And pmsl at mj's comment re inbuilt skill! They have many of those "skills' don't they??

Hi Dooby Sorry about your toe. I did lol at the description of your stumbling

It is Dippy's b-day on the 12th July! A wonderful date as it also my birthday. Dippy is about 100 years younger than me though !

Need to rant about dh. He has been home with K as he is on a Monday while I go to work. Why is it he cannot tidy up a bit - put the recycling stuff out, put the empty wine bottles in to the glass collection box outside the front door or put away clothes that are now dry rather than leave them for me to do. It makes me so cross. I manage to do that and a whole lot more when at home with K. FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, feel better now. x

elkiedee · 07/07/2008 17:08

Men don't multitask well, SOL!

Doobydoo · 07/07/2008 17:14

Sorry bout you dh SOL,but I think THEY find it v,hard when they looking after kids.Dp dosen't know how I manage! He does loads round the house but not when he has em both.Though expect he would if he was at home.
I am sorry you feel sick Elkie it is horrid.Hope it dosent last.M is on my knee so apologies for mad typos if there are any...whivh i know would be rare occurence. My toes are still sore and that combined with my SPD makes for an attractive sight
Have to store some of our stuff when we move not loads and looked at storage...100 EUROS AMONTH.lUCKILY my friend lives in a house with a castle attached and will store it for us...thank feck.I would sell it other wise.
Dps job is pantsipoodles in a big stylee...he reckons they will go bustHow come some people with zero business sense set em up and make money!?Though think it will be short term. When ds1 is settled in skool am going to see if i can childmind,as i am not able to nurse over here.Don't really want to be one again but would have.Any way, long, boring ramble over.Have a lovely eve all.xxCan't believe my ds1 will be 9 in August
