damn it, I logged on specially to be rude to you while you couldn't get online to see it and now you're here

am thinking about wandering down your way tomorrow . . .

I can get on at work now, much better, so no rudeness please!

I was late in this morning, been doing really well for weeks, but let myself get distracted by more interesting things this morning

oh, and smile and wave please ladies, smile and wave

Pisha · 04/07/2008 12:31

Posting as im reading so apologies if any of my comments are redundant nowor if I have to go after doing just a half a catch up!

OK

MJ - really glad you're feeling so much better.

Dippy hope cough is clearing up

SOL - glad K is much better now

Bramshott (think it was you!) - I hardly ever feed D (toolazy busy) so he feedsd himself with fingers and waves a fork or spoon around a bit! He loves all pasta, particularly the stuffed fresh pasta, lasagne, spag bol, chicken korma, tuna cheese sauce and rice; sausages; home made burgers; pizza; cous cous with a load of veg/beans/chick peas/tuna/ham/cheese/dried fruit/whatever chucked in; toad in the hole; gypsy toast (or eggy bread I believe people outside of my family call it!) with a bit of marmite; beans on toast (very messy!); cheese on toast; jacket potatoes with tuna mayonnaise and cheese and all the usual quick oven things like chicken nuggets and fish fingers.

GM - don't blame you at all for not wanting to work 4 half days for a tenner. That was pretty much the situation with the job I got and I didnt take it in the end. If it had been 2 full days it would have been different as I'd then have 3 full days with D but spread over 4 by the time I've dropped him off, got to work, worked 4 hours, got back to him, got home it'd pretty much be time to get older 2 from school so would feel like nearly a full day out and about anyway iyswim.

Right D asleep in highchair so going to try and transfer him to ccot and get some kip myself after only 4 hours last night! Will come back and finish catch up later!!

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 12:47

Right quick update

Glad to see you back properly pisha

Molly pretty much fully recovered

Harry covered the bathroom in sick at 2 am this morning however.........

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/07/2008 12:54

oh no Caz
that's what happens when you have so many children, illnesses last for weeks!

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 13:19

you are telling me!

mamiguay · 04/07/2008 13:39

Hello Ladies!

I am so sorry I've been so absent. I have started writing a catch up post several times in the last few weeks and then something has called me away and I've left it and never gone back.

So if this post ends in

You'll know it's because I pressed 'send' this time before I ran away

I don't even know where to start with news. My sister had her baby boy 2 weeks ago and I am going to meet him in a couple of weeks which I am very excited about. I was supposed to go visit on my own well, approx 2 weeks ago, and was up all night with a vomiting bug the day before I was due to go. So I couldn't go and then sis went into labour 2 days later!! so I would have been there and I wasn't which was pants but obviously was not meant to be.

Otherwise working hard, it's really hot now and I'm still lily-white due to general lack of beach/pool activity and when we do go it's very early/late and staying in the shade. All very sun conscious but a little bit of colour would be nice so might leave dh playing sandcastles with N while I sneak off to catch some rays.

Little sis has just arrived from China, not seen her since xmas so looking forward to a big catch up later on.

All is good. Hope you are all doing well, have I missed anything important??

runnyhabbit · 04/07/2008 14:36

I must've finally got to sleep at some point last night, because I woke up about 5.30am
Rang dh earlier and said that although I love him, he has really, really annoyed me. I knew that he knew I meant it, because he said this wasn't a conversation to have over the phone.

Anyway, the boys are with mum and dad today, so I'm going to try and catch up on some sleep.

x

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/07/2008 16:55

I'm off to stay with Pisha for the weekend

Back on Monday ladies x

although obviously there are likely to be a few drunken posts from both of us her over the weekend, especially as we're off out to meet some navy boys socialising tomorrow night

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 17:43

ds1 hadn't been sick anymore, and in desperate need of shopping so off we go to tesco....and he was sick everywhere

NorthernLurker · 04/07/2008 17:54

Pisha and POTC - have a lovely time
Mamiguay - how lovely to see you.
Congratulations on your new nephew!

Runny - hope you and dh can have a good chat.

Luce - you've maybe gone now - but have a good holiday anyway

Caz - oh dear to the sick. hope tonight is better. Any news from shagponywatch?

Dippy's phone has gone mad and keeps sending me the same text message

Dd1 was in floods of tears at the end of school. Her class are doing a theatre project thing with a performance for parents at the theatre next week. They were told today that if they don't shape up it will be cancelled. Poor dd1 is very conscientous and has been working really hard on it - obviously not all the class are the same. I bet those children are blithely carrying on regardless whilst my poor baby (ok, ok, she's 10) is breaking her heart over something she can't do anything about I'm a bit cross with school actually - I know they need to push those who aren't pulling their weighht but dd1 and her mates always do so why should they be made to feel wretched?? Grrrrrrrrh!

On the plus side I got a new top and a lovely jug in the sales in town today The top has stripes and the jug has hearts. I know you all wanted to know that

NorthernLurker · 04/07/2008 17:54

x posted Caz - oh dear - still better out and in tescos than in and in your bathroom!

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 18:00

lol NL

It is indeed nice to "see" you Auntie Mamiguay

Right, Charlie has been potty trained for a few weeks now, and asks for a wee quite often. Molly has started saying "need wee", so who thinks I should take advantage of this and sit her on the pot? she does climb on it anyway, and she is kind of aware what it is for as she always has a look whenever ds3 has used it ( delightful child that she is! )

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 18:03

sorry NL, no , no news. Don't want to keep hassling the people. Might go and see her on Sunday, as dh has got the day off. He is going to hand in his notice tomorrow!

NorthernLurker · 04/07/2008 18:08

Good luck to your dh for tomorrow!! Do you think Dancer's just not that into him?

cazboldy · 04/07/2008 18:13

Thanks - I have a feeling he might need it. His boss can be a real piece of work

I don't think horse are generally that fussy - it's more likely the wrong time

NorthernLurker · 04/07/2008 18:33

All the more reason for you to get out if the boss is like that isn't it? Don't worry - I'm sure it will be ok and soon you'll be in your new place remember - no more livery fees!!!

Pisha · 04/07/2008 18:41

Hello again!

[waves]

Really must get us another copy of Madagascar. When ds1 was in his destroyer phase (6 months to 4 years!!) he ruined loads of our dvds so very few of their films still work I much prefer sitting watching Nemo, Ice Age, Madagascar etc than Space Hawks, Ben 10 and Baby Channel! Although I have been known to get involved in an episode of Ben 10 before!

Caz - can't hurt to try Molly on the potty. Is probably too young for her to have proper control enough but if it amuses her to try and you catch the odd wee and save yourself a couple of quid on nappies then why not?! Also might make it easier when she is old enough if shes already used to it. Sorry abut ds being sick but as nl says better in tescos than at home or even worse in the car on the way home! DD was sick in the car on sat but luckily told me she was going to be and I had a hole free carrier bag for her to use! We stopped fairly quickly and found a bin to put it in though before itr started to leak! Although shes quite upset as I took her to A&E in the pushchair holding our 'sick jug' and then she was sick in it in A&E just before she got taken up to the ward so it got left there! Need to get another one soon before its needed again!

DC are very excited about POTC's impending visit. My first thought was sht ('ed especially for you potc!) I need to tidy the house and then I remember who it is and think no actually, its fine!

I have a dilemma - N has finally got an appointment for his pre-school jabs next thursday, 3 weeks before his 5th birthday after 1 full year at school , however we are going to France for a week and a half on the Sunday after. So do I take him for jabs, which include MMr booster, and risk him being ill from it while we're away or do I delay but risk having to wait another few weeks/months for him to get another appointment? I had to phone and hassle them to get this one as he'd been missed off the list but then now hes on the list he should get another appointment the next time they do them which I think will be 1 month later. What should I do?!

NorthernLurker · 04/07/2008 18:42

Tbh - I would wait as B was really grupy following hers for a couple of weeks and it was a pita!

mammyjo · 04/07/2008 19:09

Hello.

Runny, hope you have sorted things with your dh now. We must meet up again soon, I need to start getting back to normality now

POTC, glad you are so much brighter. Have a good weekend!

SOL, glad K is much better now xx

Caz, bleugh at the sick, but hooray for Tesco floor rather than you own!!

I am a bit stressed today. One of my wounds has opened up and looks horrible. I went to see the practice nurse who said that it would have been better if they had put a stitch in it originally as it would have healed better. Now it will heal (eventually) but leave a bigger scar. I feel really about it, and it is stupid really as it is on my abdomen which I am not in the habit of flashing regularly! It is also really small so not a huge deal iykwim. It has just made me feel down today. Pants. Oh, and I do wear them!! No commando stylee in this house.

mammyjo · 04/07/2008 19:10

Pisha, meant to say I would leave the jabs if it was me. I wouldn't want to take the risk. Enjoy your visitors!

Caz, I would give the potty thing a go. No harm in it and may well pave the way for very early non-nappyness!

StealthPolarBear · 04/07/2008 19:21

hi everyone
mj at your wound, that sounds upsetting.
Pisha, I would delay it, not worth the risk
What's this about M getting potty trained caz???

oooggs · 04/07/2008 20:10

MJ, so sorry about the wound; sounds horrid you poor love. Hope it is better soon and you feel happier xx

Oooggs, sorry you are still feeling sick - is there anything that helps?
B has her school fair tomorrow. Can't believe the weather is going to be pants

Huge congrats Maveta on becoming an aunty!!! What a shame though that you were poorly and couldn't see your sister.

Runny, hope you and dh have sorted things and that you had some rest today.

Luce, hope the summer hols have gone well so far.

Brain emptied now!

Had a good day, although B is knackered. She keeps waking up early and then of course is busy at school and we have after school stuff 3 days a week. Nightmare. Anyway, thankfully K is totally back to her normal lovely self.

Hope everyone else is ok; sorry I haven't metioned everyone. xx

elkiedee · 04/07/2008 21:56

Good to see you Maveta, hope you get more time to come and play soon.

Pisha, what everyone else has said about the jabs. We need to make an appt for D to have 1st MMR but for various reasons including a few days in Yorkshire mid-month, it will probably be end of July/early August.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 05/07/2008 00:15

we are always good

I'm here, pretty easy journey really, and for the first time ever I found the house without having to ring for help or go round and round the town several times!

it's very tidy here, quite confusing, I'm not used to being able to see the floor when I visit here

night all x
