i'm thinking of doing school dinners for dd. I hated them myself and mum took an age to say yes t me having packed lunch I think i'll see what her friends will be having.

People from Kent are very posh, bet that comes across in my posts

oooggs, ds1's school looks so cute

glad to hear you're wearing pants potc

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2008 12:35

of James eating everything!! Not sure what K will have - packed lunch probably - definitely going for cooked meal option once S is at school too though ... I am faaaaar too busy like Bramshott

No one made any comment on P's excessive cuteness

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:38

at the pants talk

Oooggs - Jake will start with packed lunch, seems to be what others are doing. Then move on to doing half and half. I don't think I can be bothered to do packed lunch everyday! Anyway Jake is quite fussy and I'm not sure and can vary his lunchbox enough and am worried about him getting bored with what he's eating.

School lunch is £1.90 per day.
Jake takes packed lunch to pre-school 3 times a week at the moment. He usually takes cucumber and carrot sticks, marmite sandwich or soemtimes crackers (plain), apple or banana, drink, small packet of biscuits or soemtimes cheddars occasionally crisps. Sometimes sausages . Sometimes plain pasta with sweetcorn.Very occasionally cake or flapjack if i've had a baking day!!

What were you thinking of doing Oooggs?

Dippy I was going to ask the PG question as well.

It's so dark here, I just tried to put the lights on and it's blown the lighting circuit downstairs so am sitting pretty much in the dark. I can't reach the fuse box in the garage and DH is in Winchester and won't be back for ages at least I've still got internet and TV!

Bramshott · 09/07/2008 12:39

The funny thing is, that N will eat almost anything at school, but is picking as hell at home .

Dippy - P does sound very cute (and grown up), loving the mental picture of her peekabooing out at you!

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2008 12:40

Poor dinky Ange xx Couldn't J reached up and flick the switch in the fuse box for you!!?

(Only teasing!)

Hurrah for Internet & TV though.

@ you all thinking I am PG.

Three's my lot. Finito.

OK!!!!?

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:40

OOOh meant to add how cute of P to be hiding in the duvet cover Dippy

Bramshott · 09/07/2008 12:41

Sorry, my typing is atrocious today!

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2008 12:41

Well I couldn't exactly miss her, Bramshott, her illuminous orange face was just radiating at me

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:42

Sorry loads of x posts then!

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2008 12:42

Right, really do need to go now. Not looking forward to the walk in the rain. Yuk.

Wish me luck .....

"See" you lovely ladies later ......

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:43

orange face Dippy?

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:44

Good luck Dippy xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/07/2008 12:46

Dippy, have you been feeding P nuclear active peas again?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/07/2008 12:50

I'm bored, can you tell?

Just me here, far too quiet, have iPod on playing Warwick Avenue on repeat. I'm a bit odd really aren't I?!

But I do have my new fire-proof filing cabinet, so all is not lost

AngeG · 09/07/2008 12:52

Hello POTC OOOhhhh the excitment of a fire-proof filing cabinet

mammyjo · 09/07/2008 12:57

Oooggs, ds has packed lunch because that is what he prefers. He has tried dinners, but is not fussed on them and ends up coming home starving! He eats most things, but I think they gave him a fair amount of veg, and that is the one thing that we have been struggling to get him to eat!
He normally takes a sandwich, fruit, yogurt, maybe a babybel, biscuit and crisps. He is a creature of habit and likes the same sort of lunch every day!

POTC, glad you have your pants on today

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/07/2008 13:02

I know Ange, it's really exciting. Shall I take a photo and upload it later?

now I just have to move all the legals from the old safe boxes to the new cabinet, have already had to break the lock on one of them to get into it

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/07/2008 13:05

As for the rest of my day, well, expect another call tonight Ange! (or anyone else that feels like volunteering themselves to listen to me rant/stress/cry/laugh until I get bored or you fall asleep!)

Eddas - no idea when the twonk will sort himself out, not heard from him since Sunday when my bro went to collect J from him. Can always try to get someone else to do it though, just in case. Skott won't as he's already booked for August's allocation of babysitting, but I can find someone!

Bramshott · 09/07/2008 13:10

MJ - sorry, hope I didn't offend you with my comment about precious parents! I think Mumsnet is making me more argumentative and opinionated

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2008 13:10

Afternoon all

The excitement of the filing cabinet!

Dooby, how is M today?

POTC, pmsl at the offer of "support" Honestly, men are a different breed
Hope you are ok.

Ange, you poor lamb sat in the dark! Have you got a tall neighbour???

Eddas, yuk to explosive nappy. What have you been feeding ds??

Elkie, hope you are ok; you sound as though you are having a really rough time with pg.

Oooggs, sorry you are having such a pants time. When is dh back to help out?

Erm, what else?? Brain emptied.

B has school lunches every day and she seems to enjoy them. I also cannot be arsed cooking a meal each afternoon for tea She isn't a sandwich person either.

MJ, I can't believe B is going to year 1 in September. The year has shot past.

Right, need to shovel in lunch whilst K sleeping. Back later. x

mammyjo · 09/07/2008 14:28

Bramshott, no offence taken!! Tbh it would be easier if he would have dinners, but it isn't going to happen!

Bramshott · 09/07/2008 16:02

How can it STILL be raining ?!? Off to watch Horrid Henry!

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2008 17:09

It is utterly awful isn't it? Bloody British summer

liath · 09/07/2008 17:43

I think for the first time in about a billion years we're having a much nicer summer up here than England !

Oooggs, hope the acupuncture helps.

All the talk of packed lunches reminds me that my mum always refused to make ours so I had to make my own - tomato ketchup sandwiches anyone?

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2008 18:35

Evening, just putting girls to bed PMSL @ fire-proff filing cabinet
