Just popping in before work. Norty DD nearly always cries when put down to sleep and I nearly always ignore it!

LittleMissNorty · 30/06/2008 09:23

Welcome back JBM . Good time?

Thanks Bumper ....and everyone else.....DD even shouts when she's put down for a nap....I'm a bit more relaxed now and just letting her get on with it! Can't think where she gets her stroppiness and stubbornness from??

Beautiful day here again

anyone about?

Seansgirlthesequel · 30/06/2008 12:24

Afternoon all

Hope you had a good time on hols JB. Blimey MHC sounds like a good idea, you must be very pratical.

Today has not gone as planned so far, , found nit eggs in DDS hair this morning at 8.10am, FFS!!! So had to do emergency nit treatment and comb through, with DS being a complete pain clambering all over me whilst I'm knelt by the side of the bath. So that made us late, but had an appointment at 9.20 at GPs to talk to her about taking the pill whilst on hols as have been really heavy since DS and the thought of coping with that on the beach makes me . Was not planning to take DD as she picks up quite alot these days when you think she isn't listening. But she was a pain too. finally got her to school. In the meantime DS slept for 10mins in car and wouldn't go for his normal nap when I got in. So he has only just gone to bed! AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!! Oh and I under estimated my postage costs for my ebay as well so had to spend an extra £1.43 this morning [grrrr]

All in all a pants morning.

andiem · 30/06/2008 12:24

Welcome back JBM, have you been anywhere nice?

Bumper you are lucky your DD only cried when you stopped the buggy, mine has taken to screaming non stop when he's in there at all. I can't get anything done, and the other day I actually left my cashpoint card in the machine because I was so distracted (someone handed it in at the bank, luckily).

The other day I had to go to the bank to sort out a replacement credit card (and pick up the cashpoint card). He was ok when I went in but got more and more restless and ended up screaming the place down. Meanwhile the useless bunch of fuckwits of an excuse for bank employees didn't know how to go about getting me a replacement card, and the person they were trying to phone to ask wasn't answering. So I am still no closer to replacing my credit card. I am going to miss all the sales, but maybe that's a good thing.

Sorry about the rant.
Hope you all had good weekends. I spent yesterday sitting reading as I felt really dizzy every time I got up, didn't even have the energy to come on here. Feel ok now, so I think it was just lack of sleep and the heat, it's very hot here atm.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/06/2008 12:52

Hello everyone!

Norty, have you had a list of the highchairs you are testing? I have seen your list and you've got the Nuna, I am very ! I have got the fucking Graco Contempo, the highchair with the impossibly short straps that I took ages trying to send back to Kiddicare! I shall certainly give that a good test ! Oh well, can't complain, I have 4 free highchairs coming my way soon!

Welcome back JBM. Hope you are feeling rested and generally well! Good to have you back x

MHC, I went to the JL sale on Saturday and was v impressed! I bought ds 2 pairs of Startrite shoes (much better than Clarks IMO) for £9 and £5 and loads of clothes for him too. He is all kitted out for summer now! I love that pirate ship, it is sooooo cool! How much was it ex-display?

SG and bumper, I am not looking forward to AF making an appearance again, you poor things! I am crossing my fingers I have got a few more blood free months left!

Hi everyone else!

Sputnik · 30/06/2008 12:54

Mine has messed up his naps completely too SG, as we went out and he slept on the way back. Now he has no chance of a lunchtime nap, and I'm supposed to be working. Gah.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/06/2008 12:54

OOoooo sputnik, how annoying! I hate banks and bank staff, they are all a bunch of twats! I guess it's an international phenomenon! Hope it gets sorted in time for the sales!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/06/2008 12:56

Grrrr...I keep getting those Nigerian phishing emails telling me I've won lotteries etc. I've had 5 today already! Obviously they think I'm pretty stupid!

Sputnik · 30/06/2008 12:57

Hiya Holly. AF free here too still. There have to be some advantages to round the clock bf.

Seansgirlthesequel · 30/06/2008 12:57

Startrite gets my vote too Holly, DD has been protesting that she wants the clarks shoes for school with the toy in but I won't let her, Startrite are much more suportive IMHO, I let her have other shoes for out of school though.

Seansgirlthesequel · 30/06/2008 12:59

Sputnik your bank sound like a right load of useless gits, I thought they were bad in the Uk, but at least you can phone up and get a new card!

Sputnik · 30/06/2008 13:00

I find those emails quite amusing. I read a blog once where someone tried responding to them, it was really funny.
5 a day is a bit much though.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/06/2008 13:00

Indeed sputnik! Ds is still on newborn time...every 3-4 hours ! Oh well, at least it keeps the red tide at bay!

Seansgirlthesequel · 30/06/2008 13:00

Am very of the AF zone, but then I am not BF, but even when I was with DD AF returned pretty quickly (by 4 months I think)

Sputnik · 30/06/2008 13:02

My bank are total crap. As soon as DS is at nursery and I can do stuff without dragging him around I am changing bank.

andiem · 30/06/2008 13:03

sputnik what a fag about the cards

af free here too but am only bf in the night now

holly where do you keep all the highchairs?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/06/2008 13:04

I don't know why they've all of a sudden started sending me them. I'm so careful about my details etc. I may try and respond to the next one for a laugh!

I got ds these. They are sooo cute. The horse even has a real mane and tail!
