LG&T keeping fingers crossed for a pink beany .

Lups, glad you had a lovely evening out.

just worked out my schedule for the week - i think i have about a minute spare on sunday evening next week!

Off to Reading today to get some curtain poles. I realised that i have the curtains but nothing to put them up with!

Madamejaffa · 06/07/2008 11:20

TheMAM... No stinky smoke here, I am already a repulsed non smoker...lol it smells vile now. Still going really, really well, not thiking about it at all now. Get the very occassional thought after a meal sometimes but thats it. YAY!! I'm so very proud tbh of both of us, it's been a massive feat.

lg&t fingers crossed for a girlie then, sounds hopeful. So glad everything looked good though.

AM, sounds more like you need to let me know when you are free for a natter...... lol Not long now til the move, yay, so excited for you. Have been looking at plaques for our rooms. Don't burn yourself out, retirement is supposed to be chilled. x

Lupins71 · 06/07/2008 17:08

AM hope Reading wasnt too much of an ordeal - I sooo dont miss that place

DS and I have just had a 3hr nap - argghhhhh lovely, dp away again as of tomorrow morning so no more kips till next weekend

MJ you are doing so well on the smoking - its funny how quickly you can go off the smell if your determined to give up

Themasterandmargaritas · 06/07/2008 17:34

Bravo, bravo MrsJB, I was just jesting

at the nap Lups.

Dh got home this morning and we went to an elephant orphanage where there were 9 baby elephants, they brought them out and you could get up really close and see all their hairs on their trunks and touch them! So sweet. We then pootled through the national park, smelling lots of wild beasties and spotting one rhino, then lunch with some friends, where J proceeded to amaze them all as ever with the vast quantities of food he put away. Twas pretty chilly though..

TYG, where are you? I do hope you are ok, you have been very quite this week?? Too busy bashing out the brains of the plumber or too busy getting out the bleach and scrubbing those skirting boards?

largeginandtonic · 06/07/2008 19:37

Lups glad your meal out was nice, am very of your naps.

April John Lewis are great for curtain poles, good selection. You sound busy! Work ending is supposed to be relaxing!

MrsJB wahoooo on the non smoking till, dh is a repulsed ex smoker too. I think he still misses it a bit though, especially when he is sinking a vast vino rouge.

I have baked a lemon cake this afternoon, must be getting back to normal. Although i still cant face a tea\coffe\coke yet. So odd, usually i am back drinking it by now.

I am soooo tired, waiting for the twins to return so i can go to bed. They have been away all weekend and i have missed them. They will come in and get a hug before i trundle up the stairs! Poor things.

Master the elephants sound sooo sweet! The kids are so lucky to see all this wildlfe, do you take lots of pictures?

TYG is ok, i have been texting her She must be birth pool assembling this weekend! I am off to see her in a few weeks, hoping the little lad put in an early appearance so i can see him too

Must go to bed.

AprilMeadow · 06/07/2008 20:55

MrsJb you deserve a big sticker for being such a good girl!

TMAM, how lovely to see so many baby elephants the dc's are so lucky

JAM, i saw a P&T Vibe today in Reading and had a good old nose at it (was asking lots of questions - had massive buggy ) the lady was very pleased with it and said how comfy it was and that her 2 kiddies loved being in it.

LG&T, hope the twinnies got back safely. I did go to JL and bought the curtain poles. I had 2 pairs of curtains made by them the other week (7 day turn around) and just wanted to get the matching poles to go with the eyelets on the curtains. Nearly passed out when paying for them as it came to over £500! the bloody tie back things were £25 EACH and obv packed singularly.

Have been working through the list making payments to the carpet people and cheques to the people who have made the blinds. Think i will be running round like a blue arsed fly these next two weeks and then maybe i can relax

Dh had a fab time at Silverstone this weekend and is just on the train on his way back. The kids have been brilliant and i have really enjoyed spending time with them. House looks like a bomb has gone off so am sure that dh's ocd will kick in when he gets back

elkiedee · 06/07/2008 22:53

Well done MJ

JamInMyWellies · 07/07/2008 10:44

Hi everyone,

tis pishing down here today.

MrsJB many congrats I am one of those sanctimoniuous ex smokers too unless I had had a few fizzy pops and then a little hankering for one rears its head.

AM I had a look at the vibe the other day it is lovely. I know what you mean about curtains and curtain poles cost a fortune none of our windows are standard sizes so all blinds and curtains have to be made to measure.

LUPS very of your nap.

Well ts day 3 of changing Archies routine he decide that 2 sleeps a day were too much so we have been keeping him up and giving him an early lunch then down for a long nap at 12.30. I am entering suicide hour now he is wandering around throwing himself on the floor and sofa and looking at me waiting for a reaction. The reaction he is going to get today is I am abut to turn the hoover on. Mean mummy that I am.

The master am very very of your lovely time with the elephants your children are going to have so many amazing memories of their childhood.

Hi everyone.

My car died yesterday. I was driving and all of a suddent he oil light went on, and it died. I'm so glad I was going up hill because the brakes locked up and everything. i was on the side of the road for two hours. Dh came and was so angry "because I never check the oil" that he just drove away and left me there to call a tow truck. The only thing he said to me was, "I told you to check the oil" other than that he hasn't said a word to me.

largeginandtonic · 07/07/2008 11:27

MKG how awful of him to behave like that! You can bet if it was him who had broken down you wouldnt have done the same. Is the engine knackered? My ex let his run out of iol before and he had to have te engine rebulit, it was a BMW too so cost an absolute fortune!

How are you feeling?

Mrs JB the bump band arrived!!! I have it on already the gap in my jeans is quite erm.. large.

April at your curtains! Bet they look lovely though. You will need a nother holiday after all this running round. Take me next time will you

Jam B has just gone up for his sleep, he woke at 2 this morning and finally sttled at 5. I have dredful insomnia at the moment and have been awake since he woke me at 2. I will be dead on my feet by this afternoon!

Lups i have swapped my Buzz for a Jane Dakar and Matrix. Will hold on to the Matrix for the new baby so she can lie flat in the car (did you see that, i said SHE) A bargain, no?

MKG · 07/07/2008 11:56

No LG&T I wouldn't have done the same. I think it is the engine, but then again the car is 11 years old and has been on it's last leg for the past 4 years so this was bound to happen at some point.

I'm just sat on the road and cried. He came tried to get it started, and got in his car and left without saying a word. I called and he was like "What do you want now?" I cried at how he could just leave without saying anything. He had the kids with him, so he couldn't stay with me but it's still nice to say ok I'm going to go, call me when the tow truck comes and I'll pick you up at the auto shop. But he didn't. I called him when the truck came and he said he'd be there and then when I got there I called and he hadn't even left the house yet.

Before my car broke down he went on and on how the house wasn't clean enough and there were things to do. I'm of the opinion that if you see something that needs to get done, do it, don't cry to me about it.

I don't know what we're going to do because we can't afford a new car and we can't afford to fix this one.

JamInMyWellies · 07/07/2008 12:14

MKG what a wanker, blokes can be so mean sometimes. Do you think he is having a little panic about the new bubba I know my DP has momnets like that and it generally comes down to him being worried. Not that it excuses his behaviour.

LG&T poor you can yu grab a quick nap now or have you hugs at home?

Just took the dog out for a walk I hate walking the dog in the rain.

JamInMyWellies · 07/07/2008 12:21

I am sorry MKG just a wanker then.

elkiedee · 07/07/2008 13:24

MKG, how mean and nasty. I'm sorry.

ShowOfHands · 07/07/2008 13:26

I am delirious with mastitis and broken hearted after the season finale of Dr Who so incapable of typing anything other than the utter truth. I can't offer my usual pinko, liberal, perhaps he's worried about the baby, it's his gender platitudes. What your dh did MKG is fucking disgusting.

And no I don't apologise for swearing.

MKG · 07/07/2008 13:35

Oh I Love the truth. I don't need warm and fuzzies.

What get's me most is that he was waiting to feed the children until I got home. He always does that and always tell him to feed them earlier (because he's lazy) I mean 7pm is too late for them to eat dinner. So in the midst of everything they didn't eat until 8pm.

I'm waiting for the mechanic to call.

Personally I don't get what he's so mad about anyway we talked about getting a new car the other day because neither of ours will safely fit 3 car seats. I take this as a sign from God.

largeginandtonic · 07/07/2008 14:13

SOH you swore

Am stunned. Almost as stunned as i am to see you on here and that i may be having a girl

Is definatley a sign MKG, you need a bigger car and this is just a nudge in the right direction. H is still a wanker though...

SKYTVADDICT · 07/07/2008 16:04

Hi all. Been lurking and keeping up but haven't had much to say.

Congrats MKG (obviously on being pregnant - not on having numpty DH!)

JW - I also keep C awake until after lunch and it can be very challenging! He didn't get to sleep until 2pm today and I am just about to go wake him up - don't really want to but he won't go to bed tonight otherwise!

DD2 off sick again - GP this morning said just a virus! We were convinced it was tonsillitis. Poor thing been poorly all weekend. I am supposed to be helping at Brownies tonight and they need me for the numbers so "bad mummy alert" we are going! She says she is fine now! Bet she isn't after though.

Lupins71 · 07/07/2008 17:45

AM you are so naughty, thankyou they are beautiful, I am a total numpty tho Bday isnt till tomorrow I was convinced it was today - I blame pg brain lucky I realised early before getting in a mood that ev1 had forgotten , thanks again I was mega shocked

LGT did you do the swop with horsemadgal? I am just about to swop buzz for pliko p3 in optic with car seat - hmmm we loved the buzz, not , should be able to whack a buggy board on the back for ds - who hopefully will have found his feet by then, and get a double for when need be

MKG what a toss pot sorry but what a way to treat anyone let alone your missus - I hope you give him no sex for 6 months!

SKY hope dd2 feels better soon

DP didnt make it back to work - he was feeling queasy, and as bad as it sounds - good - now he knows how i feel, he did even do the dishes when I got up from my lie down, I hate the sickness part of pg - well actually apart from feeling the little squirt kicking I hate all pg lol!
