Happy 30th birthday TYG! Hope you have a great day.

AbbyLou · 29/06/2008 15:15

They've gone! I've survived!
Sky we had the Techno Twin which we borrowed off my sister - great buggy and really easy to push!

AprilMeadow · 29/06/2008 21:01

Surely you cant all be out enjoying the rare summer sunshine on a weekend.....?

Abby, well done on surviving the IL's

Had a very housey weekend. Dh mowed the lawn and weeded yesterday and today i went to B&Q to get some arcitrave and skirting for the kithen, was very pleased with self as i found some that was pre-undercoated, managed to get it in the car only to get it home and realise that i got the wrong design of arcitrave and skirting that wasnt deep enough . So that'll be another trip back there this week to swap it over. I did some shrub/tree trimming in the new garden today and managed to open hte borders up a fair bit (have the scrathes to arms to show for my hard work). Kiddies had a great time running around and getting familiarised to the new surroundings. Moving in in 2.5wks!! Have managed to con ask a friends son to help me with some painting in the kitchen as he is sitting on his arse all day free at the moment. List is ever growing and am rapidly running out of time. Can see myself spending time in the evenings sorting rooms out. I refuse to delay the moving in.

Anyone else watching the Euro final? GO SPAIN Pebble, didnt you have a bet on Spain winning? Looking good so far

anneme · 29/06/2008 22:13

Tummy bug has hit our house again. DH in and out of loo. I am, once more, worrying about whether he will keel over again.

TMAM - love the image of your FIL riding pillion!

Feeling v depressed about Zimbabawe thing - used to live there and it is all so sad and makes me so ANGRY

Will probably be back in the middle of the night if I have to get up with DH

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 08:13

Morning all

TYG i hope you had a fabulous birthday and were waited on hand and foot!

Abby well done on surviving the inlaws. We went to see ours on Saturday. They have just moved closer tous, about an hour away. It is a lovely house and big garden. I am so pleased to have them close, makes me fell better about dh going away and means i can go off there for the day at the weekend sometimes.

They also had B on Friday night! Heaven.

April is the leak fixed? The house is coming along great guns!

Master pmsl a your fil!

My tummy is so big, i look relatively normal in the morning but by the evening i look 6 months pregnant! 12 weeks tomorow! Nuchal scan on Saturady, MKG didnt they tell your Cruz was a girl at the 12 week scan

The student seems fine, happy and smiley. No problem really, we just point. Took her shopping yesterday for food she likes so that should cheer her up too. I have never seen someone eat so much ketchup!!!

Busy week here, appointments tomorrow and wednesday. Dh sails on Thurday (has been pushed back a day) Toddlers this avo, must keep motivated. The boy was up at 520 again

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2008 08:24

Oh no Anneme thats not good! How was dh last night?

LG&T, great news on the pil moving closer and also on having the scan date through. Leak was sorted pretty quick just now have to see if the plasterboard is needing to be replaced. Fingers crossed that it will have dried out and can just be painted.
Poor you at having to get up with B so early.

Morning all,

quiet wk end on here.

TYG hope you had a fab b-day.

SKY good choice and much cheaper than anything else on the market.

Abbey hope you are feeling better.

Anneme what a nightmare how is the household this morning?

LG&T cant believe you are 12wks already snap on the stupid belly wake up look like I have had one too many pies by bedtime am waddling!

AM how exciting to be moving soon, I feel your pain with B&Q we are forever doing things like that.

Bit of a bad night here, my never wakes up child has been pretty much awake on and off since about 12.30. Bit of a temp but not too much tried bringing him in with us but he just doesnt know what to do (see thats what happens when you are a mean mummy and make them sleep in their own bed) so at 6 put him back in his own bed both of us crashed until an hour ago. Feel like a zombie Archie meanwhile is running round the kitchen and has just eaten a massive bowl of shredded wheat.

X post MID. You will be ok Freddie will be ok its just hard in a couple of wks you will all be in the swing of things and it will all feel much easier

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 09:29

Be strong mid, distract yourself. He will be ok and you will get used to it. We are all here to vent at

Jam, B is awake early every morning. It is killing me, he needs to stop. He is so pooped by 9 he wants to go back to bed and can sleep for 3 hours!! Ok for some.

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2008 09:41

MID give it a few weeks and you will feel totally different. You will be in your routine and the time you will be spending with F will be all the more special. Jack went to nursery when he was 5.5mths and did Tues-Fri. We were up every morning with him from about 6am (sometimes earlier)and then would get him to nursery about 8.45 then pick up at 6pm and bed at 7.30. tbh we found it hard when we had him for longer like long weekends or when he was off sick (god i souns awful!)

JamInMyWellies · 30/06/2008 09:51

3 hours! blimey have just put A back down hoping he sleeps enough for me to do a quick tidy and hoover oh and shower.

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 09:57

Hmmmmn, B may sleep longer this morning. He has just fallen off the futon and bashed his head on the heavy wooden chair, There is a HUGE bruise\egg on his forehead, poor little man. It is going to look awful, dh will come in tutting later!

JamInMyWellies · 30/06/2008 10:05

oh dear poor B, at least you dont have social services as neighbours A fell down the stairs last wk and in the eve next door went out to speak to DP to tell him in case I hadnt!

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 10:24

Jam!!! Nice living in a village then?

He has gone to sleep, poor little mite. It looks very bad. May pic him later and show you

Themasterandmargaritas · 30/06/2008 11:21

What are you ladies doing to your poor boys?

J currently 2 hours into his daily 3 hour sleepfest. Jam does Louis like to nibble A? It's the dog's latest trick, she tries to nibble him as he bounces on the mini trampoline. She lies underneath and he bounces on top of her.

FIL arrived without any glitches. So far so good. The dc are very happy to have him here and as I drove him to dh's office this morning he pointed out places where he had lived as a small boy. Very fascinating. Imagine travelling halfway around the world on your own at 88 years old. I hope I will be.

April, sorry about the leak, do I recall you saying it was Dolphin doing the bathrooms? My sister had a battle with them.

Anneme, poor dh I hope he didn't pass out again. I am with you on Zim. Why did everyone make such an effort with Kenya yet will do little to interfere with Zim? What can the do now he has sworn himself in? Sanctions will only make the life of the average Zimbo even worse...

I think I may have a chest infection or something, I have a bad cold but when I lie down my right side of my chest and shoulder hurt so much that I can't lie on that side, anyone had anything similar??

Scoot, where are you? I am worrying about you.

Pink, tell us tales of your weekend purlleeeassse.

Lupins71 · 30/06/2008 11:52

TYG happy B'day hope it was a nice day, hope the bit for bits for the buggy arrive in time

ANNEME it is awful what is appening over there, I cant for the life of me understand why someone wont just do something about this awful man, surely the UN should intervine?

LGT good luck for the scan, I am already feeling rather pressed into my normal clothes - sure its just water retention and slowed down bowels at this stage but none the less I feel like a biffa, hope B's head is ok, am I right in remembering that you had a visit to Derriford while you were down this way when pg with B - would you say it is a good hospital?

AM hope the house gets done in time and you get your leak sorted

JAM at your neighbors, who the bloody hell do they think they are

SKY well done on getting your buggy

CAM hope you feel better soon, A also 1.5hrs into his shutdown sessioon - ohh I am jealous of him

Think my washing machine is dying it is making some strange grinding noise - please do not die I neeed you!

Had a nice w/e with dp, tried to have a romantic evening saturday, hired sweeny todd and snuggled up on the sofa........... where I was wrapped in 20 jumpers feeling cold and mega queasy , clothes are tighter already am left with my next joggers that fit comfortably, going to have to have a ebay shop to get some looser trousers for work and a pair of jeans.
Have got MW on 11t July, 3 days after my bday, I have heard good reports about her as dd's friends mum has just had a baby (must ring up and find out details) but apparently she was a great help as she too had lost a baby at 29wks and it was the same MW who was with her that time too.

Am trying to get lots of washing and tidying done today - the house seems to have been trashed with dp here

Where is that Scoot, I really hope she is ok, if you are listening to us please pop in and just let us know your ok!

Pink any news on the sleep front?

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 12:10

Lups Derriford fantastic hospital. You will have to drive quick to make it from Tavvy I had Beau there and dd.

Cam at your fil! How fabulous at 88, makes me want to phone my Nan and tell her to stop whinging about popping to the local shop!

B still asleep and Hugs has playschool soon, i hate waking him up. Poor soul.

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2008 12:23

right you lovely pg ladies.... i have been given 3 pairs of maternity trousers by a friend. They are brand new and in the packet from Next. They are a short size 12. She bought them only a few weeks back but bubs arrived before she would wear them and next wont refund so as i mentioned that several on my mn friends were pg she asked if they would be any good... let me know if you are interested. I think there is a pair of jeans, and some brown linen trousers and maybe a black pair.

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 12:30

Me! me! me!!!! I believ i am the shortest

Oh hang on Lups is isnt she? I would be interested, what does she want for them?

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2008 12:44

Lupins, what's your maternity size? In a few weeks time, I'd be happy to pass on any of my maternity stuff which isn't bobbly and old looking. It's all size 14 though. Probably too big for you?

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2008 12:47

she didnt want anything for them - just wanted them out of her house

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2008 12:47

Too big for you as well LG&T! I'm such a biffer.

MKG · 30/06/2008 12:52

Good morning everyone!

LG&T--Yes the did tell me they thought Cruz was going to be a girl at the 12 week scan, but in all fairness she did say they are trying to see if it can be done and wasn't to be taken too seriously. I'm resigning myself to the fact that may be the only time I'll hear, "It's a girl"

Well today is CD30, only two more to go. Although one time it went to 45 days with no apparent reason.

Master-I'm sorry you're not feeling good, could it be respiratory infection.

MID-It will get easier. I had a hard time in the beginning, but now I look forward to dropping the kids off. I do so much more when I don't have them.
