Been shopping today and then took the kiddies to a play place where they had lots of fun and tea. Goy home and E hasnt stopped whinging and they have both been following me round whinging. They have hundreds of things to play with and yet i am more interesting

Morning everyone. You have been a chatty lot lately, I have no chance of catching up.
I'm sorry I've not been around a lot recently, we have so much going on at the moment I don't seem to find the time for the computer.
I'm up early today to try and make myself feel human. I think I have pharynigitis again and I feel like shit. I can't swallow properly and everything from my throat upwards hurts. Just to make me feel even better my mil is coming today to stay for the weekend and she is a pain in the arse. Also sil who is 11 is coming and I can't stand her. I'm escaping to a hen party tonight although I don't really feel like that either!

Kids both up at 6.30 this morning, E in a foul mood for the first 45mins and squealed/threw herself across the room. They have had breakfast and are now munching through bananas!

Had a bloody leak in the new house! Where the fitter took the bath and sink out of one of the bathrooms the valve wasnt sealed (or something technical) and had a nice steady drip down the walls all the paint either side of the window in the playroom is all rippled grr and means that it will probably need re-painting. Have already moaned that 4 weeks after starting the project that not one of the rooms is finished. I was told that i would have 2 teams and it would take 3-4wks! I have one man and 1 room that is very nearly done, 1 that has had the plumbing moved and walls/floor put back in but no furniture and one that still needs to be ripped out.... likelyhood of it being finished for us to move in on the 18th July?? Am hoping i will get a call on monday saying that they are sending another team to do the 3rd room and toilet and let matey get on and finish 1&2.

Oh no April, how annoying about the house. A friend of mine waited for a new house to be ready and she had a similar nightmare.
Btw, has the screen gone funny for everyone or is it just me? It's gone black and white and I have to flip the thread every time to get it to recent messages first. I don't like it.

Chaos yesterday, had to take another Spanish girl along with mine to the college for 8. I cannot say no, woman phoned me at 5 to 8 to ask. I had to leave the twins at home!!! They didnt move from the tv

TYG i went to an Aladdins cave of a nursery shop yesterday with my friend (due in 18 weeks) it was fab! They had every buggy, i played with them all. First one i saw was yours, carrycot on it. Ohmigod it is massive! Lovely and plush though. The icandy one was lovely too, the baby in the front seems to be very low though, short chassis was good. I still like the powertwin but am disappointed to see that the matrix lie flat car seat does not fit on it. My babies (well some) are tummy sleepers and it is essential i have a carrycot type thing to put them in or they screeeeeeam.

The arrival of mil is imminent! Dh is at the train station now collecting her! Please wish me luck!

LG&T--Don't worry it's still early. I remember the first time I studied abroad in Mexico I barely understood what they were saying. It's hard going for that long and only hearing another language. I remember having a massive headache for the first few days, My mom said the same thing when she went to China.

By the end of my 6 weeks in Mexico I was chatting with the family with no problem and getting myself around the city.

Good luck Abby. My FIL is arriving in a minute for a couple of days. He is an old Africa hand, but is v old. The dc adore him. Should be fun. Often he just disappears off, once we had to send the gardener off to find him on his bike, he came back riding pillion

I didn't get a double nipper in the end. Didn't think I would due to cost and space in car/house.

Ended up with a Maclaren Techno Twin so hopefully will get on ok with it.

DP has just spent nearly all morning putting a stairgate at the top of the stairs. He is not best pleased as he had given himself a long list of jobs to do today bless him.
