elkiedee · 30/06/2008 13:11

TYG, if they are too big for Lupins I might be interested in your size 14 maternity stuff.

JamInMyWellies · 30/06/2008 13:19

Well just had to make Archie's first ever app with the Doc, he now has a quite high temp 38.8/9 and its not going down with nurofen and he has been in the shower with me to try and cool him off a little. bet they te;; me itsd a virus and to go away.

AM afraid those trousers wont fit, grr.

Cam it sounds like a bad chest infection get yourself down to the docs. Your FIL sounds amazing I hope I am like that when if I get to that age.

Can not believe B sleeps for that long A did 30mins and then was awake again.

Have to say I am very worried about the Zimb situation why oh why is something not being done about it. They said on the news yesterday that villagers were made to dig mass graves and told if they did not vote ofr that man they would be back to be filling them its disgraceful.

Jam, if fever not going down then I think it's more likely to be an infection of some sort. Maybe ears? Have learned my lesson in Australia and it's never a bad idea to go to the doctor as soon as something like this comes up with a baby. You have no way of knowing what's wrong until you go, because they can't tell you.

Hope he's feeling better later. x

MKG · 30/06/2008 14:21

Jam,
I had to use my conversion tool for this one but that is about 102 F. Which I was told by our pediatrician was not too high for children. Infants can spike higher fever than adults without it causing any harm. I was told to worry if it got up to 104 F Which would be 40 C.
I would say just let him sleep it off.

I hate viruses all they tell you is to let it run it's course. Great, but how does that help us.

Lupins71 · 30/06/2008 14:51

AM thanks but I am a 10 bottoms at the Mo suppose I could scoff loads of choc cake mmm no better pass on these thanks

TYG I would love any 14 tops you may have, due to my rather oversized boobs my top is a 12/14 but easily a 14 when pg, I would be very grateful

On the subject of Mat Clothes if anyone has any size 8/10 bottom halfs they are no longer planning on using (I know not many of you ) then I would be very interested

I have just told dd about baba I explained how pg tests work then let her do one - she was amazed and now keeps touching my tum I was trying to cheer her up, she is so down in the dumps at the mo, she says no one loves her and that she is no good at anything, she is always crying and cross, she has got no time for arlen - I have just interupted this post as she bit him badly on the arm as he wouldnt get out of her chair - I dont know what to do with her she is so unhappy she really is taking des working away very badly anyone would think he spends all day playing with her not locked in his room on the pc - any advice greatly appreciated, she is usually such a lively cheeky little monkey it is starting to get to me alot

Lupins71 · 30/06/2008 14:53

LGT - I am asking you as I cant think right now of anyone else who has had 4pg's how early did you start feeling movement - I dont mean kicks I mean the sort of bubbling that tickles the front of your uterus?

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2008 15:38

No problem Lups. As soon as I pop this baby out you are welcome to them! Email me twelveyargap at gmail dot com so I can send you a list of what I have and you can tell me what you'd like and send your address.

Elkidee, my trousers are all for a shortie. I'm 5ft 3. If you think they'll fit then you're welcome to anything. Email me so I can do the same and send a list of anything worth having.

JamInMyWellies · 30/06/2008 16:07

just a virus. carry on with the nurofen and calpol.

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 16:22

Oi OI! I am a biffer too, will be in size 14 this time round as i have still not shed Beau fat. Am in a 12 at the mo.

Jam poor little lamb, keep him dosed with alternative paracetemol and nurofen. Cool him often and let him sleep.

Master have you been to the docs? Not like you to get ill, off you go. Dont delay it will only get worse you know that.

TYG where are those pics of A???? I have seen your beast of a buggy in a shop i went to Friday. It is nice, i am not sure what to do now. By the time i have my baby Oisin will be out of the carrycot and i could buy it from you... >

I have a house full, extra friend for tea so i will be cooking for 8. Am making cowboy casserole, all boys like that dont they?

B's egg is lovely, not so egg like now just purple Bless him.

Lups i felt fluttering\bubbles at 14 weeks with twins and the last 2. Otherwise it was 15 up. No bubbles here yet, although the height of my fundus would measure about 16 weeks i blame the slack muscles

elkiedee · 30/06/2008 16:30

Thanks TYG - I'm short myself, about 5'2" but don't wear trousers much. I'll email you in case there's anything left over though. Last time round I had some wonderful non-maternity clothes which worked better than the proper maternity stuff for a while - skirts with elasticated waistbands and a flattering cut, but they're nearly all worn out. I seem to be putting weight on much earlier and faster second time round though.

I don't know if they still have anything useful but I found Dorothy Perkins had some excellent tops that were long and easy fitting with sleeves without feeling totally shapeless.

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 16:33

Have added pic of egg sporting child

Lupins71 · 30/06/2008 17:09

LGT pass the cake round that looks fab

TYG will email you shortly

ELK how many weeks are you now?

Have just taken dd out on her bike to try and cheer her up - she whined the whole time pretty much, however the farmers wife who we rent off came out and took dd of to see te goslings and chicks yipppeeee a smile however her irish accent freaks ds out for at least 15 minutes until he realises she isnt going to stew him - then he smiles cutely at her

Going to try and upload some pics shortly as I finally have a new gadget for uploading pics to pc as its impossible to buy a usb lead - you would think a make as popular as fuji would be slightly more readily available

Had a thought earlier about when I concieved dp's bday was 16 may, i know it wasnt that day but somewhere near there may be possible - god I wish I had a clue.

MKG · 30/06/2008 17:12

OK ladies tomato alert. Yesterday I made manicotti (mmmmm) anyway I had left over sauce. So I put it in a bowl mixed in some leftover ricotta and called it lunch.

elkiedee · 30/06/2008 17:34

Lupins, on Friday I thought I was 11 + 2 by LMP (last period) date, but scan revealed that I was only 9 + 4. So 10 weeks today, and I have to go back for a further scan so that they can do nuchal fold and other tests. So I was hoping to feel ready to tell people this week or next week, and now I'm not sure when.

Themasterandmargaritas · 30/06/2008 17:53

MKG I hope it tasted nice

Lups, sorry about dd, perhaps she just senses change and the fact that daddy isn't there either often throws them a bit. Is she having any playdates since she has left school? Perhaps she is just missing that social interaction and is not able to express how she feels? I always find a little one on one time with dd perks her up, any chance you could leave the little fellow with your mum for a morning and you and W just go somewhere nice for a hot choc and croissant?

Jam sorry that A is not his usual self. A temp rule we always use is two days with a temp is often a virus but if its not down on the third day then its off to the docs. Most important is to go with your instincts.

I'm feeling perkier thanks, its still a bit sore, but frankly I'm not sure when I would fit in a trip to the docs between school runs, ballet show, gynmastic shows and fil. Actually I'm not even sure where to go

Ooooo love the egg LG&T, that's a corker. Good to see J is not the only tho without any hair.

TYG, I also want to see some pics of A, if not only to have hair envy.

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 18:00

Need you even do a pregnancy test alert MKG???!!!!

Master, sort it out. Painkillers will only mask the problem >

Lups i agree with master re dd, take her out for girly fun. Hopefully it is just a blip and she will come good.

Have packed all mine out to play. Driving me crazy. B is now whinning and being a pain. Too early for bath and bed yet though, my god how early would he get up if put him to bed at 630

Lupins71 · 30/06/2008 19:18

Hmmmm I dread to think what time A would get up if he went to bed before 7pm, it would probably still be classed as night

We have been doing lots of girly stuff and we spend most of arlens nap time chatting and making stuff, se has been playing with lots of kids at the park, next week we are going to the national marine aquarium as an outing with nanny, she has actually been quite pleasant this evening and has said she is not fussed about the sex of the baby as it will mean she can boss 2 around (thats my girl) I think she is probably overtired, missing having daddy around - oh god better go she has just shouted from upstairs that A has my make up on arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh will be back to report

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2008 19:21

He might actually get up later LG&T. His night sleep could run into his morning nap type thing. But don't hold me to that! A did it for a while. V tired by 6pm, so I started bathing her really early, like 5.30 and she didn't get up any earlier at all, she just wasn't shattered at 8am like before.

You could borrow the carry cot, my love. I know you'd look after it.

Will do some pics tomorrow. I can't be arsed keep forgetting.

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2008 20:24

So i have spent this afternoon in a&e with Jack after he split his eyebrow open (horizontal over half of the eyebrow)! He was swinging on his chair and it fell backwards and he smacked into the corner of the table. He had been at nursery for HALF AN HOUR. Had it all glued up and steri stripped and has been so brave.

MKG

TMAM, get to a Dr's

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2008 20:46

Borrow are you nuts, that means you are contemplating another after this little chap

How was your birthday btw?

April poor Jack! Brave soul. DH would say excellent 'man up'

Thought he was duty tonight but he is on his way home! Hoorah. B been screaming and finally settled on the couch of all places, dh can move him now.

Oh for fecks sake i cant stop sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes. I need a glug of PIRITON, must get some tomorrow.

Night all, MKG dream of tomatos

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2008 23:25

Not a fecking chance. I just meant that I won't be selling the double for a while and will prob sell as a package, since they're not popular enough for the carry cot to sell separately.

Poor Jack.

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/07/2008 07:04

Oh April, poor Jack, what a fright for you all. Hope he had an ok night after all that.

Lupins71 · 01/07/2008 07:33

AM hope J is ok

LGT good news on dh coming home

Now should I tell my mum today, I was going to wait only because I know she is worrying about stuff atm (money ect) and I didnt want her to have the added trouble of moi to worry about, however now I have told dd I am just wondering if I should tell her - she would certainly wonder why I havent told her - as we do share most stuff, if dd were to accidentally let slip, just not sure I can cope right now with the "you shouldnt be doing that in your condition" which she is bound to say when I am walking tons of miles for milk wit 2 kids ect - I dont actually find the walking that hard, nor does dd for that matter, but I can see what my mum will say?

TYG please tell me what buggy you bought dying to know it sounds like a beasty, emailing you now about clothes

MKG is today testing day?

elkiedee · 01/07/2008 07:56

Lupins, I think it's really good if you're happy to do lots of walking to carry on while you're pregnant. It's got to be a good thing surely to get some exercise. And it also sounds like a great thing for your daughter.

AprilMeadow · 01/07/2008 08:47

J had a good night thank you, in fact he actually slept through from half 8 to 8 this morning. He was fantastic yesterday, apart from the wound you wouldnt have known anything was wrong. He didnt even flinch when they were touching it. He sat as still as could be whilst his bp was take and even let the nurse shine a light in his eyes. Only time he did squirm was when the dr put the glue in because it stung.
