Caz, my aunt did that - 3 at 18, 21 and 22 (20 month gap between the last 2) and then 1 at 36. But she's possibly not a recommendation as my youngest cousin has turned into a nightmare (though I don't think age gap has much to do with that).

Hello

NL, poor poorly you. Hope you are ok.
K is a still whingy I think it is tiredeness today though as she was coughing so much last night poor love.
Have put her down for a nap even though she had half an hour before lunch. It was quite sweet - I changed her nappy and put her down and she stood up at her cot pointing! I put her in and after a bit of chatter she has dropped off

Caz, your poor dh's gran. It is such an awful state of affairs losing control of your faculties. My gran (93) has a catheter and finds that disgusting. She is such a proud woman and hates it.

Hi MJ. Hope you are feeling good today

Dippy, no more children???? I thought you were going for number 4.

Oooggs, hope you are ok today too.

And Elkie, hope you are all well.

I am knackered. Had a crap night. I had planned to sleep in the spare room which is at the front of the house. The double glazing must be shot, as I may as well have been out on the motorway - the M3 is a mile from us - and it can be noisy.

So, I went downstairs and slept on the lounge floor - not the most comfortable.

K was also coughing loads and was up with her at 1.00.

Managed to turn the alarm clock off by mistake and overslept until 7.30.

Cue, mad rush, with me in a shitty mood due to tiredeness.

On the plus side, dh is better so at least he can help out now.

Oh dear, what a rant!

We had a rough night too - D's coming down with a cold, I'm sure now, not worried in the sense that he'll get better some time, but he woke up crying and needed lots of cuddling and snuggling as well as milk. I'm glad it seemed to comfort but am sooo exhausted now.

Doobydoo · 18/06/2008 18:23

How is everyone else?

All ok here. K is really being a pita. I really hope this is the after effect of MMR and not the start of a new shite phase. I know a few of you have said there have been after-effects.

Dh back to good health but just tired - join the club I say!

Right, need to sort dinner out of some description. Back later. x

Hi everyone
SOL, sorry you had sucha rough night
Dipy - I wondered about the Queen's head thing, assumed it was stamps though

Pisha · 18/06/2008 20:17

hello [fingers crossed emoticon]

NL hope you're feeling better.

Dooby - when my dog got done he barely seemed to notice Was trying to give the vet kisses when i went to pick him up. Hes such a stupid dog!!

Dippy - i dont blame you reconsidering a 4th. I find 3 very hard work and a drain to try and balance ll; their needs and put up with 3 whingy/moany/stroppy voices all at once and 2 of mine are at school all day! I don't know how you do it! |And I know exactly what you and caz mean about heart vs head except luckily atm my heart seems to be siding with my head and i am completely off the idea of 4 and looking to moving forwards to new things.

m alo with um someone else (sorry ) on funerals. M and N didnt go to their great grandmas who they were closest too but did go to the wake and I think it really helped everyone there and stopped it being such a somber thing which I think my Grandma would have liked. M did come to my step grandma's funeral later that year a it was come to tht and wake or neither and she wanted to go (was about 2 and half years ago so she was 5) but as she wasnt so close to her she didnt find it so hard but liked going to say goodbye. J remembers not being able to go to his father's funeral when he was only just 3 and ha a lot of bad memories about that and wishes he could have gone, although who knows whether that would have been any better for him. But I do agree a lot depends on the child and other factors.

Forgotten everything else and tbh completely that ive managed to type so much!!! I should really being doing something more useful with this laptop working time though like sorting out breakdown insurance for our hol or searching for birthday presents for Nathan!

Dylan is being very whingy again but I think its his teeth, having just got a load of molars and eye teeth on his left side he now seems to be getting the mtching set on the right. And has his mmr on friday so prob gonna get even worse Good news though i that since he went onto goat's milk his ezcema seems to be getting loads better, still there but just dry and flaky on body with some red patches on legs compared to before when his whole body, arms and legs weremmmmm covered and all red, swollen and inflamed He wore some clothes on Sunday that he hadnt worn for a while but think they must have been ones i washed when i switched to persil which is when it all flared up tp start with so any clothes that have been in wardrobe a while I now need to wash again At least I seem to have narrowed it down to persil and cows milk thats the cause which is such a relief as it was really stressing me out not knowing what i needed to do to help him.

Anyway ive gone on loads (making up for lost time) so will shut up now!!

StealthPolarBear · 18/06/2008 20:37

hi pisha nice to see you
glad you've srted out the cause of d's eczema, hope it all settles
not looking forward to mmr seem to be a number of grumpy babies!

Pisha · 18/06/2008 20:42

forgot that i wanted to moan to you all!

My competetive mummy side came out earlier M had a fun run thing after school with few of the other primary schools. Problem was they said go when her and her dfriend werent ready and cos she was a bit behind getting to first obstacle she had to stand there and wait for a bean bag to throw into hoop, then after running really fast and nearly catching up had to stand around and wait for a free skipping rope to skip round in a circle and it carried on through the race that she kept having to wait. Afterwards they sat them all down and gave certificates to the yr1 girls in first 3 places and then boys and then year 2 girls and boys with rounds of applause for each child etc. Now I don't mind them giving certificates to winners, much better than the school's namby pamby sports days were they dont have winners and losers in case someone gets upset but it seems to me if they re going to make such a big deal about who comes first then they should make sure that they have enough of all the bits of equipment so that everyone has a fair chance iyswim Am quite pissed off on her behalf and she was quite upset. I told her id make her her own certificate for running really fast and being so polite and letting the other children have the equipment first and not lumping them for grabbing it first and making her wait!!

Sorry, rant over!

CaptainDippy · 18/06/2008 21:09

Good to have you back properly Pisha

Coooool, Dooby and I are going to start a Revolution!! Right. Where do we begin!!?

Gunpowder!!

NorthernLurker · 18/06/2008 21:17

Dippy - is this revolution thing a conspiracy? You plot, get arrested and held for 42 days and no small people will be able to come and shout at you?

Count me in! Up the revolution!
