Ok - I missed Caz's post first time round and thought the condom had something to do with my tea!!!

I can't tell you how relieved I was when I read down a bit further.

Since you ask Caz - I've no idea but I expect it's ok - I mean they would say if not wouldn't they? Otherwise they'd have an awful lot of dud smears surely?

AngeG · 19/06/2008 21:58

I've never been given a leaflet Caz, makes sense though. I think you had better abstain, you don't want to contaminate the slide and have to have another one! You could do other 'things' though

AngeG · 19/06/2008 22:01

What about sex before the test?
If you use a spermicide, a barrier method or contraception, or a
lubricant jelly you should avoid sex for 24 hours before the test, as
the chemicals they contain may affect the smear.

I just found this on a website. If you don't use any of the above it should be ok!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 19/06/2008 22:54

ok
have spoken to those involved and ok'd it that I share with you.

Things have not exactly been plain sailing here with new man (D), as some of you will know. When I went to meet up with MJ I had to spend the entire weekend not knowing whether he was going to stay with me or go back to his wife. (The one that posted on here).

He stayed.

Then when we went to stay with Ange we had the same thing again. He decided to stay again. But the next morning he decided that he really had to go back and try to make it work. So he went. Monday last week. (might explain my absence for most of last week now!)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 19/06/2008 22:55

I fell apart. When I fall apart I retreat into myself completely. But I had Ange at the end of several text messages a day keeping me going

AngeG · 19/06/2008 22:55

I'm here with a listening ear POTC. x
