The 3d looks nicer, but the Switch is better. I love having ds facing me when we are walking along and you can't do that with the 3d. I have been using the Switch loads as it also has an inbuilt toddler step, I need to send it back though. I shall be to see it go tbh!

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 21/06/2008 22:06

has the switch got a harness in pram mode like the SC?

lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 22:06

ooooh, inbuilt toddler step...do tell me more!

daisy the silver cross has as well.. the reason i was buying it as i will have a 3, 2& newborn! so im thinkin buggypod for 2 year old and step for 3 year old lol

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 21/06/2008 22:11

Yes natty, it has a really pram nice liner that comes with it and you just pull the straps through the holes. I'm not usually a fan of M&P pushchairs, they tend to be over priced tat, but I am quite taken with this one!

Daisy, it has a little step at the back, like a buggy board, but tiny. I wouldn't use it for a smaller toddler because it is so small and it can't be used when the pushchair is reclined or in pram mode, so it is pretty useless if you have a nb and a small toddler, but it is perfect for us!

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 21/06/2008 22:13

do you think it will be ok for a 3year old?

lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 22:15

thanks holly...i didn't think at 17 mo DD would be able to stand on a buggy board for any length of time.

damn M&B magazine for not letting me test double buggies....although I haven't actually been told no yet!

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 21/06/2008 22:17

Yes natty, the step would be fine for a 3 yo, but with the Switch it can't be used when the seat is reclined as the back of the seat comes over the top of the step IYSWIM. So it would be no good if you have a nb baby that needs to be reclined all the time. I imagine the 3d is the same.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 21/06/2008 22:20

true.. might have to attach my exsiting buggy board at first, have you seen the new buggy pods daisy.. having done the double buggy thing.. would be well worth a look, i am NOT having another double unless i have twins!!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 21/06/2008 22:22

Gonna love you and leave you now girlies. Ds has fallen asleep on me and I need to put him down, he is all sweaty and is making me hot!!

I need to eat cereal too!

Night xx

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 21/06/2008 22:26

me too.. im off to poke DH awake in the hopes he will poke me!

justRia · 21/06/2008 23:05

feck, is this a pram hunni thread

I think it means "little jump/leap" but I could be very wrong. MHC will know.

Happy birthday baby andiem & fury. hope you've had a lovely day.

Hi fairy & izzy as I haven't "seen" you for a while.

Jamyy, are you only just washing your legs now after ALL DAY? I would have suggested a baby-themed bra too.

Tis pissing down here, I think our picnic and day with Comitatus may be off tomorrow. Had a lovely afternoon with my sis but her DH is a TOSSER and if he lived with me I would knife him/nurder him in a Midsomer way/give him a good slapping.

oh, and ARSE to WAs.,

justRia · 21/06/2008 23:06

that's murder with "M"

lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 23:12

WAs Ria?

glad you had a good time with your sis. I remember you saying aaages ago you were worried you wouldn't get on as it;s been so long since you've seen her.

i am orf to bed now. My backside has gone numb from sitting and I think I might have developed Sofa Sores

We are tidying up/building shelves in the attic tomorrow so I won't be around till evening.

wedding anniversary daisy.

I bought us both a little gift, nice wine and a pasta meal from tesco for achange. DH was in an arse this morning and BBQing for school (and arse licking the PITA all afternoon)

Today was the local sister (sometimes lovely, sopmetimes Hyacinth Bucket on speed - nice today). Am still fretting about the other one - THURSDAY!!!! Excited but scared.

Enjoy your shelves and take it easy on your back. If the rain stops we will be visiting a roman camp. If not we will probably be killing each other in the house...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/06/2008 06:28

ARSE!!! What a crap night. She woke at 11 and was calmed by nurofen and cuddles. And she woke at 4 - she'd turned 90 degrees in the cot and had herself wedged across it. Cuddles calmed her but she wouldn't go to sleep. After 45 minutes of trying, including offering a BF which she refused, I took her into bed with us, and after some protests she did go to sleep but then woke me up at 6 screaming. We came downstairs and again she refused BF but has sipped at a bottle of cows milk and taken some of that.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 22/06/2008 10:03

aw jammy i had shit night too.. went to bed around 11am.. kids kept me awake coming in and out o bed till 4am.. then woke me atn 8.30.. i feel like a zombie!
she might be coming down with something jam, thats why mine were so unusually restless. hope baby jammy is ok xx

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 22/06/2008 10:05

ok that should be 11pm... and out of bed

lackaDAISYcal · 22/06/2008 18:29

afternoon all

had a good night here, and then DH let me sleep in until 10:30 this morning....blissss (sorry jammy and natty)

Disaster in the garden today . I moved my pumpkin plants this morning and think I've killed them, then the wind has blown our cheap greenhouse to bits and all my lovingly reared trays of seedlings have fallen over onto the floor/tomato plants and carnage is everywhere.

All my poor cabbages and purple sprouting brocolli and my saladlings and chillis and peppers....gone
and some of the tomato plants are broken

Daisy, I hope some can be salvaged.

We had a bit of a rubbish night here too - sorry for running out on scrab - DS was up crying until 11:30, in the end we brought him down and offered him his cup of water, he sank 1/2 and then went to sleep . Roll on speaking, so that he can tell us what's wrong - that said, DD is an excellent talker and she is still being a horror.

Fingers crossed for better nights tonight for everyone.

lackaDAISYcal · 22/06/2008 19:06

i'll have a go at salvaging something once the kids are in bed, but they were only in shallow seed trays so we are left with a heap of compost with some greenery in it.

It's worth a go though.

I've been looking at proper greenhouses, but DH reluctant until we get the garden a bit more sorted and can build a level base for it. Fair enough, but he doesn't realise the emotional commitment I have given those wee green things. He just said "oh well that's nature for you". My good mood of today has dissolved now. At the very least he should be placating me with promises of a greenhouse to ensure he gets what I promised him earlier

What's an aerogarden?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 22/06/2008 19:51

Hope some plants can be saved Daisy. one of our tomatos went over and broke the stem because we'd been slack and not tied it to a support yet. So I've tried sellotape round the stem - I've had it work on other plants in the past so fingers crossed (but I'm not overly hopeful).

Jamlet had a bad day today - wouldn't feed from me, but took some cows milk and then some EBM from a bottle. And was rather off her food too. And talk about drool!!! So it's wither teething or oral thrush - we saw a couple a little white spots on her tongue. But all in all she was rather grumpy all day and tired but not sleeping So miserable for us.
