Fury, good luck at the drs, hope ds is better soon.

Jammy, that does sound fab, unfortunately I think might be a bit far away for just popping over, am south west birmingham.

MHC think those get well wishes have worked back feeling loads better today know where to come in future when feeling unwell

Am having a grumpy, arse in hand mood today, DH started me off this morning by being a selfish twunt..... so better get busy to calm myself down.

lackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2008 11:25

I hope DS is OK fury, and it's nothing worse than a viral rash. If it is chicken pox, I wouldn't necessarily cancel his party. Parents like their kids to get CP sooner rather than later so I'd call round and see whether anyone minds before you do anything drastic. And be honest with her about how you are feeling

oops, wrote this about an hour ago and forgot to post!!

Daisy and norty, have a look here and here. I think I sent you one of these before daisy, but this is a new one. It sounds like fun!

If you get the vibe daisy I shall be coming up to steal it from you!

lackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2008 14:50

lol holly.....if we can afford the fecking vibe...tis hoooogely expensive. I need to see one in the flesh first before I decide.

I can't do either of those dates unfortunately for P&B magazine. they don't give you a lot of notice do they?

DD just stood up all be herself without holding onto anything ...well in actual fact she picked up the thing she was holding onto...her potty. she also managed to get a forkful of lunch today, and then was so giddy with herself she waved it around in excitement and the food fell off again!.....still, it's another step forward

I have planted out my broad beans and mange-tout today....we are in for a bumper harvest if everything does well now it's in the garden. DD and I shared one of the peas today; the peas were tiny and very tasty, but the pod was so fresh and cripy that we just ate that as well...yummmmmy

Ah yes Drayton Manor, thats not too far from here. Shall remember that for when dsa bit older.

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 19:09

Evening

Cheers Holly....have sent an e-mail about the second one . Didn't for the first as (a) don't know how many weeks pregnant I am and (b) they want to know dress size I am which suggests they don't want anyone fat . Which pisses me right off actually.

God what a day....been very busy, got a headache, MS kicked in and am knackered....7.10pm and I haven't decided what to do for dinner yet

Fury....how did you get on at GP?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 17/06/2008 19:16

Oh norty, sorry you are feeling shitty. It's a really hard part of being pg, the first few weeks. You feel like crap, but you don't really want to tell anyone why yet. Everyone at work used to think I was hungover! Hope it gets better soon.

Daisy, I've just sent you a text because I've just had the twin/tandem pushchair testing email through. Hope you get one too.

Got my theory test tomorrow morning, so am swotting up now. It's really dull!

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 19:18

Oh, if you need Twin testers, I'll help

I never heard any more, so obviously didn't get chosen for Highchairs

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 17/06/2008 19:26

I don't think she's letting successful applicants know yet, so you may still get highchairs. I remember last year the whole process took a good few days. She has over 350 products to sort out !

I've just this second sold a pushchair I've finished testing for £450 on ebay!! The perks of testing !! That'll pay for my new fridge/freezer!

lackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2008 19:38

I got it holly.....and lied about DS's age ...and that I have five testers (well I have one, my SIL). but, not sure when it arrived so i may have missed the boat already...bugger

lackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2008 19:44

oooh, I hope there is a vibe ...and I hope that I get picked.

DS has been challenging this afternoon, and DD has been wild. I had to chase her before I could get hold of her to put her in bed. she thought this was blinking hilarious....me, less so

I'm trying to sort something out for my 40th 39th birthday in February. The original plan was for DH and I to go to Barcelona for the weekend, but I can't see me being ready to leave a BF 3month old baby...so, baby would have to come too. then, eeling guilty about that, DS and DD would have to come too. So because we're all going, it'll have to be in the school holidays in the middle of Feb rather than my actual birthday. Anyhoo....Centreparcs, for 4 night midweek break in half term...£850 for a two bed villa....If they think I'm paying that, they can feck right off. So, looking for inspiration if anyone has any ideas. Ideally we want somewhere with access to a pool incase as the weather will be shitty.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 17/06/2008 19:50

ROFL daisy, I thought you'd lie! I didn't lie, so I probably won't get the double test, my dd might be a bit old. She does still go in the P&T, but not very often. Hope you get it! I'm still holding out for the standard pushchair test. Last year they had a Stokke Xplory and I neeeeeed to have one!!

No idea on the holiday thing really. Sounds tricky. Hope you find something.

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 19:50

Oh just got an e-mail about pushchairs so replied

Daisy, I have no ideas of wisdom for you...I'm going to Scotland in October for my 40th birthday holidays so am not expecting great weather! Think the weekend of my birthday I am being whisked off to London (minus DD) for a dirty weekend and show....although I will be heavily preganant and incapable of nothing other than sleeping by then

HellHathNoFury · 17/06/2008 19:56

Hi All
GP signed me off for a week with stress and DS does have chickenpox.

Happy days ;)

I feel happier for removing the 'work' factor though. Then I went out and bought a car.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/06/2008 19:58

Fury, sorry to hear about stress and the pox. What car did you buy?

Daisy how about this? Unfortunately it doesn't give availability for next year, but jusging on the october prices it won't break the bank. Price includes ferry crossing too I think

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/06/2008 20:00

We're I'm still thinking about what to do for our 10th anniversary this September. I think a night away without the Jamlet is in order, just not sure where.

HellHathNoFury · 17/06/2008 20:00

I bought a fiesta to replace my chelsea tractor which I am trying to sell.
It's just too damn expensive to run. I am downsizing.... which isn't going too well as I keep buying stuff...like a vax carpet shampooer.

HellHathNoFury · 17/06/2008 20:02

Jammy! Go to Rome! Ahhhhhhhhhh Italia

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 17/06/2008 20:03

Hope you can have a bit of a relaxing week with ds fury. The poor little mite, hope he doesn't get too ill with it. What car did you buy?

Norty, you may not have been picked for highchairs, but you may get some pretty new pushchairs instead! Woohoo!!

lackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2008 20:04

looks good Jammy . Hadn't thought about france.

sorry to hear about the pox fury....oh the joys of nursery! the weeks break will do you good; I hope things sort themsekves out soon and that you get the full-time employment. Take it easy
